Poison Eve

Poison Eve
Chapter-51

Morfeus Academy, City of Illusions…

Day five, round of the top five…

"Child of Assets Nazareth Vox against Son of Assets Salazar Lotz." the host and referee announced. "Evelyn Katz against Altair Nano!"

"Yeahahay!" Xena Moz jumped up and down while brandishing her fists in the air.

The hall roared, more festive than ever.

"It's hard to believe he made it to the top five without using a spiritual chakra" one judge commented as he looked at Evelyn on the arena stage.

The girl turned towards Xenephon.

The man nodded briefly and smiled faintly.

Nyx Cornus brandished his fists in front of the face, cheering Evelyn up.

Evelyn leaned towards them. His gaze now turned to Xena Moz who was prancing around like a madman on the bench, looking impatient and excited to see Evelyn's first chakra performance.

Cleon Jace raised his fist towards Evelyn with a big smile.

Xenephon glanced at Cleon and smiled faintly. Five rounds of fighting for four friends, his mind bitter. The price of friendship is so expensive!

Actually, not only Cleon and the other three winners of the round of five, some other students also began to be interested in befriending Evelyn, but not many dared to approach first. Either out of disdain or because their self-esteem is too high.

Five guardians whose asset sons did not qualify for the top five, now support Evelyn blatantly.

Good, Inner Altair. Evelyn's supporters are now starting to grow.

Some of the academy's higher-ups even paid special attention to Evelyn secretly. This is a new record at Morfeus Academy, they thought. Hope not to disappoint after the secret of his chakras is revealed.

Several higher-ups and a number of guardians had already heard rumors about Evelyn's plan that would take out her spiritual chakra for the first time if she fought Altair.

Starting from the mouth of Xena Moz who could not resist telling Lady Die, then forwarded by Lady Die whose mouth could not be silent, and to the other guardians, then passed on, it eventually spread throughout the academy.

So everyone got a little excited once the first round of voting on day five was finally siding with their expectations.

Don't let us down, Evelyn Katz! The vice academy wished in his heart.

Show time, Eve! xenephon said in his heart.

"Five seconds count down!" The host instructed, which was automatically responded to with enthusiasm by the audience.

"Five!"

"Four!"

"Three!"

"Two!"

Evelyn was a little surprised to realize that reaction. Then glanced at Xena Moz suspiciously.

"START!"

Altair prepared to put up the horses, tightened both arms on his sides with fingers forming claws and in an instant had already brought out his spiritual chakra and protective fairy with just a single blow.

Evelyn smiled looking at the protective fairy Altair. This is a new challenge for him.

Two spiritual chakras, white and yellow. White polar bear protective fairy with blue lightning stripe-shaped symbol on her forehead.

Evelyn developed her hands on her sides and twisted them just by resting on the ends of her shoes like a ballet dancer. One of his legs is attached to the heel of the other foot.

GLAAARR!!!

Evelyn's chakra finally appeared.

The spectators were flabbergasted with astonished expressions.

Even the five judges and the guardians.

"Hundred years' worth of chakra?" The jurors screamed simultaneously.

Lady Die froze with her eyes and mouth rounded.

"Don't let me down, Altair!" Evelyn.

BLAAARR!!!

Dragon-shaped plant tendrils shot out from behind Evelyn's back.

The whole hall is back rowdy.

"What's right?" a number of guardians. "Give the plant like that?"

The judges froze with astonished expressions.

"Personator's protective gear!" muttered one of the judges.

The academy representative smiled faintly. How interesting! thought satisfied.

"From monster fairies did she get her first chakra?" Nyx Cornus asked Xenephon.

"The dragon whiners four hundred years," replied Xenephon.

"WHATA…?!"

The guardians behind them screeched simultaneously.

Xenephon and Nyx Cornus jumped in surprise, then looked back with their eyebrows interlocked.

They eavesdropped on our conversation, Nyx Cornus thought in surprise.

"Linking the fairy chakra of animal-type monsters to plant-type protective elves? One of the ten core strength theories of the protective elf," muttered Arsen Heart. "The theory is…"

Xenephon exchanged glances with Nyx Cornus, then turned their heads back forward, focusing on the course of the fight without speaking again.

The power of the protective fairy core? thought Lady Die was devastated.

Salazar Lotz glanced at the woman with a slanted smile.

Lady Die did not notice it. The woman froze with a strained look on her face, watching Evelyn with a frown. The theory of the protective fairy core strength turned out to be no nonsense, he said inwardly.

The fight is a series. Neither Evelyn nor Altair had managed to attack. Both are agile and aggressive. And during that time both of them had not issued a second technique.

Still chasing with the first technique.

"I can't wait to see her toughness" Arsen Heart commented as he pointed towards Evelyn.

"If I have not guessed wrongly, there must be an element of poison from the complaining dragon" Salazar, or better known as Master Lotz responded. His gaze could not turn away from Evelyn.

"The dragon poison of the complainer is not deadly!" Another guardian chimed in.

"The complainer dragon has a very hard and supple skin" argued Master Lotz. "The feeling for a controlling-type Spiritual Master is more than enough."

Just enough! erang Lady Die in his heart. Then he fell in his seat. My asset's son won't make it to the final!

Xena Moz was still prancing vigorously on the bench.

This boy thought Lady Die with a stern face.

Realizing the fight remained static, Evelyn finally decided to use the second technique.

Altair's comprehension smile widened at the corner of his lips. Thanks, Eve! he said in his heart. I'll try not to look bad.

For most spiritual martial arts experts, making an opponent perform more than one attack technique was an honor, especially when the opponent's level and abilities were slightly higher.

Evelyn twisted her body again like a ballet dancer, this time moving like a slender and circling the Altair. Each spin leaves a trail of plant tendrils that slowly form a circular pattern.

The spectators again screamed and held their breath.

The eyes of the judges glittered with satisfaction at Evelyn's performance more than expected.

Altair stomped her feet on the floor, her polar bear darted out of the circle by leaping over her.

Evelyn threw the tendril of the plant from her palm towards the bear and snared one of its legs, then pulled the beast into the circle formation she made, while she herself catapulted her body upward, then it soared out with a salto.

And before Altair had a chance to react, before the audience realized what was happening, the plant vine had already ambushed Altair and subdued him.

Altair shrieked and nodded. He jerked his hand, trying to break the tendril of the plant. But then stop and shake with a satisfied smile. He could feel the tendrils of the plant as hard as a mountain rock, he was not sure he could break them. The core strength of the copycat protective elf turned out to be like this, he thought in awe.
