"You're taking daggers everywhere?" xena asked as their steps got further and further into the forest.
"Only when going to the forest," answered Electra. "The academy doesn't allow us to bring weapons into the dormitory. Lady Corn kept it for me!"
"You're very lucky to have a guardian like Lady Corn" Xena muttered with a grim look.
"I don't think Lady Die is bad either!" sela Altair's.
All eyes simultaneously turned to Altair.
"Besides her mouth, Lady Die has a good reputation in the academy" Altair said. "Otherwise, Lord Vox has already shunned him from the dormitory before the Vice Academy."
"The reason the Deputy Academy was arrested by the Order of Angelos still makes no sense to me" Evelyn muttered with a regretful look. "I mean, he did it for the good of the academy. Why should it be handed over to the Order?"
Cleon smiled faintly in response to Evelyn. "If I don't hear wrong, the Deputy Academy isn't arrested for your case!" It tells.
The four friends turned and were flabbergasted. Curious.
"Rumor only!" sergeant Cleon hasten.
"Is it because he blasphemed Lord Vox?" evelyn asked with a frown.
Cleon glanced at Evelyn while chuckling thinly. "Lord Vox is the person who cares the least about reputation" he said. "Otherwise, Lady Die will be the first to be handed over to the Order of Angelos!"
Also true! thought Evelyn. Then turned to Cleon and looked at him with squinted eyes, trying to find an answer.
But Cleon then just sighed and shook his head thinly as if trying to get rid of what was inside his head.
Trying to ease the sting of her intense curiosity, Evelyn looked Cleon in the eye with a curious look, but then undoed her intention to pry the young man's answer. It could have been that the information put Cleon in danger, he thought.
The rest of the journey ended in a long silence until Altair drove them to a stop.
"This tree is quite large and tall" Altair said as he patted one of the dried tree trunks. "I think it's enough for the five of us."
"Hmh!" The four friends were enthusiastic. Then start cutting down the tree in turns.
Not long after, they had managed to cut down the tree and cut it into pieces. Each of them splits their own part and binds it. Then rushed home with each one carrying a ready-made firewood tie on their backs.
The journey home became no easier due to their innate burden.
Not until half way, the steps of Xena and Electra had started to slow down, while Altair and Evelyn were already far ahead. Cleon was even left far behind them.
Altair and Evelyn turned to them with concern, then stopped and exchanged glances.
"Altair.." Evelyn whispered softly while turning her attention to their friends. "We're a team, right?"
"Sure," Altair replied in a whisper, his gaze not separated from their friends.
"We are one unit" Evelyn continued in a soft whisper. "Without the power of light, we may be able to survive. But they're not necessarily. Xena is just a lookout type. While Cleon was despite his type of strength and defense, after all he was only a young master, it was unusual to work rough. And Electra.. despite being quite formidable in the arena, the burden was her weakness!"
"So... What exactly do you want to say?" Altair asked frankly. Then look at Evelyn.
"I think the mission of this exercise might be to test our cooperation" Evelyn murmured.
"Cooperation.." Altair muttered back, repeating Evelyn's words. "Hmmm..it makes sense!"
"Eve.." Xena called out pantingly. "Why are you so strong? I've been walking around for a while now it feels like I'm dying!"
"I just lifted the wood was not able to," Cleon chimed behind them.
Evelyn turned around and smiled. "I was born with the gift of full light" Evelyn said. "So a little stronger!"
"Full strength?" Xena and Electra were squealing together.
Cleon blinked and gasped, questioning the same thing.
Evelyn smiled at him.
"What if we cheat?" moan Xena is desperate. "We use the power of light to the top of the hill. When it comes down, maybe the load is not too heavy!"
"You're sure Lord Vox isn't watching us secretly?" hatch Electra while glancing at Xena. Next to his slender eyebrows raised high.
"When the road goes down, it doesn't guarantee the load will feel lighter!" Altair.
Xena instantly squeezed. "This mission is too hard!" staggered while staggered.
"That's it!" altair said as he approached Cleon and lowered the rope from his shoulder. "Give me some of your wood!" said.
Cleon spontaneously looked up at Altair in a questioning gesture, while he still bent down bending his stomach.
Xena and Electra blinked at Altair with their eyes and mouth rounded.
Evelyn approached Xena and Electra. "Have you too!" said. "Give me some of your firewood!"
"No!" Xena and Electra refused in unison.
"Although not to use the power of light, but as a team, as long as everyone manages to bring home the firewood, the mission is complete, right?" Evelyn.
"But—" Xena and Electra protested together.
"No need to protest!" evelyn's claws cut off the words of her two friends, mimicking Nazareth's style of speech when rebuking Nyx Cornus. Then forcefully pull the rope that was slung over Xena and Electra's shoulders and lower the firewood from the backs of the two.
The two girls stammered and exchanged glances with doubtful expressions.
Evelyn and Altair bend over to unravel the wooden ties of their friends.
"To be flat with me!" altair's instructions to Evelyn.
"Wait—" Cleon tried to prevent them.
"Don't worry!" cut Altair fast. "I'm used to it, remember?"
"And I was born with the gift of full light!" timpal Evelyn's.
"But—" Cleon still looks doubtful.
"We haven't even reached the top yet, while our pace has slowed down!" sergeant Evelyn interrupted Cleon's words. "If it's too long, we're afraid we can't make it before lunch."
Cleon sighed and gave up, then leaned over to tie back the rest of his firewood.
Xena and Electra had to follow suit.
A moment later, they had moved on and continued on their way home.
Reaching the top of the hill, Altair's footsteps began to slow down and gasp for breath.
Evelyn was also already panting, but her steps still looked nimble. He glanced at Altair with worry. Of course he is used to doing this, he said in his heart. But without the power of light, Evelyn shook her head uncertainly.
As the streets began to decline, Altair began to stagger and almost fell down.
"Are you okay?" Evelyn and Cleon spontaneously caught her shoulder and held her back.
"It's ok!" sergeant Altair gasping.
"Altair!" Xena muttered worriedly as she approached him. "You helped bring a lot of wood from us" he said in his signature sulking style. "Can't go on like this!"
Altair raised his hand to interrupt Xena. "I am still able to do it" he said, getting weaker.
"That's it!" Cleon snatched the rope from Altair's shoulder and lowered the firewood from his back. "Give me back!" his insistence. "I've recovered a lot!"
"My mountain too!" Electra.
Altair dropped herself on the grass to recover her breath, while Cleon and Electra squatted on her side to unbind her firewood.
"Your voice too!" Cleon looked up at Evelyn.
"No need!" sergeant Evelyn. "I can still do it. "I'll say it when I can't. We do it in turn!"
Cleon sighed and shook his head. "All right," he said with force.
In the remainder of the journey, they divided the load in turns and divided the amount of firewood as it got closer to Nazareth's estate, so that they came up with each load equal.
Then it slumped together in the back yard of Nazareth's estate.
That, just called solid teamwork!
Worst together.
