Poison Eve

Poison Eve
Chapters-28

"Master!" evelyn exclaimed a little too enthusiastically as she slammed into the veranda of Nazareth's room and before she could knock, the door opened and the girl fell into someone's chest.

A pair of hands grabbed her shoulders and pushed Evelyn's face away from her chest, but did not let go.

Evelyn shrieked stifled and looked up.

Xenephon!

"Ma-pardon me!" Evelyn stammered with a blushing face in embarrassment.

"You're so excited, Young Miss," teased Xenephon with a slanted smile.

"Xen.." Nazareth snarled from his bed. The man sat leaning against the head of the bed.

Evelyn glanced at the man at a glance and immediately bowed when she realized Xenephon was watching her.

Xenephon chuckled and bowed towards Evelyn. "It just so happens that you're coming, Eve," he said still with a slanted smile. "Will you replace me with Uncle Vox?"

Nazareth rolled his eyeballs. Migi Vox grinned on his lap.

"I'm tired of him!" Xenephon patted Evelyn on the shoulder and let go while continuing to smile, then glanced at Migi Vox with a mischievous look and blinked one eye.

Evelyn looked at Xenephon and Migi Vox alternately with puzzled expressions.

Xenephon left the room and waved his hands at a glance without turning his head again, then disappeared behind the door.

"Why yell?" nazareth asked as he rubbed his puppet head. Her flat voice jerked Evelyn out of her confusion.

"Ah—aku.." Evelyn replied stammeringly.

Nazareth turned to Evelyn and instantly the girl fell silent.

Migi Vox looked over and grinned.

"Sorry," Evelyn murmured. "I'm too happy."

Nazareth frowned and smiled faintly. "What makes you so happy?" He asked without showing his enthusiasm.

"I—" Evelyn gave her smile, then bowed even deeper. "I've already broken through level thirteen. Master!"

Nazareth blinked and looked at Evelyn with his eyebrows intertwined. Next to his eyebrows raised high. But then he turned his face and bowed. Migi Vox thrashed in his lap. He pressed his palm on the doll's tiny face.

Evelyn gulped and gulped towards her guardian to see the man's reaction.

"Rest!" nazareth's orders were expressionless. "From tomorrow you will be busy" he said without taking his eyes off his rebellious life-doll.

Evelyn bowed at a glance and turned towards the door.

The next day…

Again Nazareth gave Evelyn the same command - to stand under the flagpole surrounded by other students warming up.

The disciples finally grew more and more bold in ridiculing and laughing at him blatantly.

"Now I understand what a Golden Child means!" seloroh a female student.

"You mean Morfeus Statue's son?" timpal was another student.

The other students chuckled in response to them.

Morfeus Statue means a golden statue of the God of Dreams in the middle of a pond.

Evelyn remained unmoved with both hands crossed behind her body. Pretending not to hear that conversation. His gaze was straight forward with his chest puffed up despite his chest raging.

"Miss Evelyn is indeed very beautiful, but she is too loud, noble men will not like her man-like behavior."

The words of his neighbors ran through his mind.

I did not know Adab, Evelyn said in her heart. Breaking through Nazareth's room screaming...

Nazareth definitely doesn't like it!

You've got to learn about attitude from now on, Eve! his conscience began to speak.

You don't want to be a joke forever, do you? Or do you want to bear the title of Famous Clown like your guardian?

Oh, I don't care about that! refute the other side of the rebellious Evelyn.

Every punishment tells me what Nazareth doesn't like!

I just don't want Nazareth to hate me.

According to him, this punishment is proof that his behavior yesterday was a mistake—at least in the eyes of Nazareth.

That's all that matters.

Don't do those things in the future! Evelyn reminded herself.

Altair looked dejectedly at Evelyn from the crowd of everyone while running.

The guardians looked at Evelyn between cynicism and concern.

"What exactly is Lord Vox thinking?" whispered a guardian on the side of Master Lotz. "The season of competition is in sight, but the boy has not even begun physical training."

Master Lotz did not respond. More precisely not to follow.

Even Lady Die did not dare to open her mouth anymore. The bastard always appeared suddenly like a ghost, he said inwardly. I don't want to take any chances.

There seemed to be no problem, in fact, the day after Lady Die was caught gossiping, her name was instantly listed on the Black Book.

Needless to say what the Black Book means, everywhere in every part of the world its definition has never changed, not even in the Land of Elves.

Realizing that no one had responded, the guardian fell silent.

Entering the lunch hour, as everyone expected, Nazareth appeared behind the guardians together-who else if not—Xenephon whom they never understood his existence.

Many people said Xenephon was a good friend of the academy's owner, but not many believed him. Some argue that Xenephon was probably the Supervisory agent placed by the Order of Angelos at Morpheus Academy.

Every spiritual martial arts school had always infiltrated spies to prevent the violation of the Order's Laws.

So anyone Xenephon in the academy is always seen as risky where everyone is very careful when dealing with it, even compared to the owner of the academy itself.

The two men now stop near a flagpole that automatically stops students warming up.

Everyone bowed to them with all due respect, not least the guardians as well as Evelyn.

"I ate on the second floor!" nazareth's orders were soon obeyed by Evelyn, and were of course viewed with envy by everyone.

This time Evelyn had no intention of turning down the offer after previously being disappointed in her new friends.

You say I am the Golden Child, then I will be the Golden Child! think Evelyn doesn't care.

After lunch, Nazareth led Evelyn to the gate where a horse-drawn carriage was waiting.

This time Xenephon himself became his coachman.

And that only means one thing: TRAVEL IS IMPORTANT.

Most of the people in the academy were aware of some of the academy's owner's unwritten agenda by looking at who it was carrying.

After many times seeing Nazareth go with Xenephon, they had all memorized the kind of agenda that the two angelic men attended outside the academy.

Minimum agenda of Second Class or better known as the upper middle class.

Evelyn could feel the hostile gaze burning back on her back as the two angel-looking men helped her climb into the carriage.

"Master?" Evelyn raised her eyebrows politely towards her guardian after they sat face to face in the carriage. "Where are we going?"

Migi Vox responded by grinning in Nazareth's lap.

Evelyn glanced at the doll with a nervous look, then looked back at her guardian.

Nazareth looked at him with a flat expression.

Evelyn was immediately bowed. Watch your attitude, Eve! his mind scolded itself. Can you not be too chatty? Nazareth might not like it.

"You've already obtained your first chakra, and reached level thirteen," Nazareth finally opened his voice. "That's an amazing performance. However, to become a talented Spiritual Master is not enough."

Evelyn listened without daring to raise her face.

"After you've passed the first stage of training, it's time to do the second stage" Nazareth said.

What first stage training? ruby Evelyn in her heart. For these three days you've only been choking me on theories and punishing me!

But Nazareth's next question left Evelyn stunned.

"You don't take warming for granted, do you?"

"Heating standing?" evelyn's hiss was almost suffocated.
