Poison Eve

Poison Eve
Chapters-48

"Two seals are already open, the rest of one seal with a symbol of wrathful angkara." Aunt Gavriil was sitting cross-legged under a dense leafy oak that lit up like flickering little lights, her eyes closed, her wrists clutched in front of her chest with opposite fingertips.

Migi Vox floated in front of his face in a sea-blue light crystal ball, curled up like an embryo.

Likewise with Nazareth, the young man was also curled up in a larger crystal ball floating above the medicinal bath pond like a baby in the womb.

Mikhail sat cross-legged by the pool with the same attitude as his wife across the pond.

Aunt Gavriil took a slow and deep breath, then opened her eyes slowly. "Attribution and anxiety," he murmured with his eyebrows interlocked. "Mike... What crime do you think anxiety can do?" she asked her husband who was still concentrating on channeling light energy into the crystal ball that wrapped Nazareth's body.

Mikhail sighed deeply and exhaled slowly, then opened his eyes. "The paranoid can do anything" he replied expressionlessly.

"Paranoid," his wife repeated in a low murmur. His forehead creased, trying to think hard. "Then the vigilance of Migi Vox will become blunt" he said, still in a quiet murmur.

"The protector should not have any vigilance" said Mikhail as he moved from his place, then walked around the pool to his wife. He leaned over and extended his hand towards Gavriil and helped the woman stand up. "Basically the protective fairy's instincts only reacted to the control of its owner."

Gavriil Claus looked at the crystal ball of Nazareth with a concerned look.

Morfeous Academy, Illusion City…

The fourth day, the top ten battle round, Evelyn was actually faced with Cleon Jace.

Altair exchanged glances with Xena Moz who chose to join her seat after she lost many members of her group. Only Xena Moz is left of Lady Die's asset son.

Cleon Jace was tall slender yet muscular. Reminds Evelyn of her first opponent in the Debut Arena. Plus the most powerful weapon protection elf with a level twenty-six.

"Truly a threat to the weed," murmured several people.

"I bet today The Wild Grass will finally take out its spiritual chakra" said the other on the bleachers.

"What kind of chakra can a useless plant have?" another scorn.

Cleon Jace stomped his feet on the arena floor leaving an intimidating loud thumping sound before finally taking out his chakra and protective fairy.

Evelyn retreated her legs and bent them slightly vigilantly. Both of his hands were clenched in front of his face.

Cleon Jace growled as he swung his hammer towards Evelyn. "Dare to underestimate me!"

Evelyn jumped to the side and bounced around dodging the barrage Cleon threw blindly.

She is a type of strength and defense, Evelyn reminded herself. The defense is very strong, but the attack is weak. The advantage is to intimidate and bully.

"The hammer shield is indeed the strongest protective fairy on the face of the earth. But it also drains the most light energy!"

Her father's words flashed in Evelyn's mind. It was said when they went hunting when Evelyn was a child.

"Hammers' protective berries with the gift of natural full light can work. But the protective elf of the hammer with the weak gift of light could only achieve five defense techniques and three attack techniques."

I just need to dodge for a while until the light energy is depleted, Evelyn said inwardly.

Cleon roared like a lion while trying to pull out a second technique.

BUUUUMMMMU!

Cleon hit his hammer on the floor and instantly the size of the hammer swelled twice as much.

Evelyn jumped backwards without reducing her alertness. Then put the horses back on.

"Take out your light technique, Little Girl!" Cleon shouted loudly while throwing his giant hammer at Evelyn with a certain technique until the hammer circled in the air chasing after Evelyn.

Evelyn bounced her body backwards in a kayang position, but along with that, Cleon's hammer suddenly swooped down and twisted back, then smashed into her knee.

BUGH!

Evelyn bounced to the side of the arena stage.

Xenephon stiffened and paled. Nyx Cornus swallowed and stuttered.

Evelyn fell on the floor curled up.

"It seems Evelyn Katz's arrogance will end up in the last ten," snorted some of the surviving participants.

The referee darted down towards Evelyn, "Evelyn Katz, do you want to give up?"

Evelyn pulled her body up from the floor with trembling knees. Both knees felt numb, then gradually changed the specific pain. He shook his head and stepped into the middle trembling.

"Just get your chakras out, Eve!" please Altair in a soft whisper.

As if he could hear Altair's whisper, Evelyn suddenly turned to Altair.

The man nodded hinting Evelyn to give up on her promise. I don't mind, Altair's gaze reassured him.

Evelyn forced a smile and re-installed the horses. There was no sign that he would immediately take out his chakra or protective fairy.

"SLOW!" Cleon growled as he threw his hammer to the floor once more. The size of the hammer was now swelled three times over.

The audience held their breath.

Xenephon looked at Evelyn anxiously. Just eject! hope in the heart. The power of the weapon-protective elf can crush you.

Cleon bent down holding onto his hammer hilt and took a deep breath, then began to concentrate on preparing for the third technique. Both of his knees were injured, he thought. He won't be able to survive this time. "Still unwilling to take out your chakras?" he growled with a thunderous voice, a sound produced from the bottom of the stomach.

Evelyn re-installed the same horses as before.

Cleon smiled obliquely. Stupid girl, she said inwardly. You'll end this time. I can already read your movements with the same horses. The first horses produced nimble leaps that twisted their bodies in the air. The same horses both produce salto jumps.

Through those considerations, Cleon finally understood what to do. He channeled his inner energy through his hands to the end of his hammer.

Evelyn bent her knees slightly and sighed deeply, then began to concentrate on her three hearts. I hope you succeed, the pessimistic side of him warns. This was the last way to keep his promise to Altair.

The floor under his feet began to shake. First of all just around his feet, slowly and imperceptibly, then gradually began to propagate wider, but his vibration still felt weak.

The judges frowned.

"What's he doing?" Many people began to wonder.

"I think he's hurt" whispered the women.

"He may not be able to!" the guardians concluded.

"No-wait!" one of the guardians interrupted.

The other Guardian spontaneously turned to the guardian and froze. They feel it too.

The hall shook, initially slowly, then in an instant it turned into a huge shock that made the entire place sound crackling.

"What's going on?" everyone is looking at.

"Wrought!" screeched everyone, then dumbfounded as soon as he realized the arena floor was starting to crack.

Cleon was aghast and looked down at the crack under his feet, then gasped to find Evelyn closed her eyes with her eyebrows linked in concentration. It turns out he did it! thought surprised.

And before he could swing his hammer towards Evelyn, the floor under his feet was revealed forming a huge hole that left him mired.

BRUISES!

In the next instant, Evelyn flicked her finger and in a flash the vine tendrils from her palm towards Cleon in an incredible speed that automatically filled the hole and buried the hammer and the entire body of Cleon.

The audience spontaneously held their breath.

"Imust be!" one of the judges stared at Evelyn.

Xenephon and Nyx Cornus blinked together.
