Poison Eve

Poison Eve
Chapters-143

"Everyone is a vampire fairy, Your Majesty!" An investigator and a royal forensic expert reported to the Emperor. The two men spoke together while bowing respectfully to the soldiers.

"What about the Order of Angelos?" ask Emperor.

"We're working with them day and night" explained the royal forensic expert. "The result remains the same."

"They said it was possible that the raid was triggered by a grudge!" The royal investigator added.

"I mean.. did they avenge the invasion of Erebos during the competition?" The emperor raised his eyebrows.

"Yes, Your Majesty!" replied the two servants of the country while bowing again.

The Emperor sat down sagging on his throne seat, leaning his cheek against his fist, with the elbow side supported on the arm of the chair. His little heart did not want to believe that the air raid during the tournament convoy was that simple. But considering that he was in the throne hall with at least three greedy officials waiting for the chance to overthrow his throne, the Emperor refrained from saying more about his suspicions.

More precisely, a party deliberately attacked during a tournament convoy to make an impression as if the attack was triggered due to a grudge, the inner Emperor.

He waited for someone to express the idea, but not a single one made a sound.

There's no way that there's anything to think about at all, is there?

Officials with limitless ambitions like Kush Thunder, Agathias Katz and Neiro Sachs are unlikely to have no idea.

But they're all mum. Pretend to be stupid and believe the incident was triggered by a simple reason.

Orion Jace suddenly cleared his throat, then bowed asking for permission to speak.

"Speak!" Emperor permits.

"This idea." said Orion Jace slightly hesitated. "Isn't it too shallow? The Order of Angelos can't possibly think this simple, right?"

The entire room was glancing towards the Duke.

Absolutely plain! thought Emperor. "You think the Order of Angelos is hiding something?" testified.

Orion was silent.

Kush Thunder immediately bowed, asking for permission to speak as well.

The emperor moved his hand hinting his sister to speak.

"Find out if Shangri-La has the same attack" Kush Thunder proposes.

Cleverly! thought Emperor. Now he's trying to throw accusations at Shangri-La. "Good idea," he said enthusiastically.

A thread of satisfaction flashed across Kush Thunder's face.

If Shangri-La is proven to not have the same attack, wouldn't it just prove that the attackers were only able to reach Neraida? inner Emperor.

Aero Thunder was not only an emperor, but also the father of a Son of Light. The god's chosen man.

Not being able to occupy the throne in the Hall of Light did not mean that his level of strength was not equivalent to Apollo. It's just that in order to occupy the throne of the Hall of Light, one's spiritual power must also be completely holy without the link of the monster fairy chakra.

Spiritually, the power of Aero Thunder had also reached a holy or saint level. Apollo and Mikhail Claus.

Xenephon and Nazareth were the first to pass the Apollo level. But Nazareth was the only one who never linked the monster fairy chakra.

People like this can look inside a person, penetrate into the soul and know the heart even though they cannot read the mind.

As a demigod, Aero Thunder knows the ultimate goal of his brother's convoluted schemes. But as an emperor, he still needed evidence to subdue the rebels entrenched in his kingdom as sycophants, into thorns in the flesh.

"Call the visionary here!" emperor's orders to the guards at the door of the throne hall.

Not long after, the two bodyguards had returned with seven royal vision experts.

"Find out if Shangri-La was attacked by a vampire today!" emperor orders on all seven visionaries.

The seven vision experts bowed in unison with the respect of the army, then began to set up a formation in the center of the room, taking out their respective spiritual chakras and protective elves.

Seven different-colored crystal balls shot out from the palms of the visionaries and floated around them.

The longer the faster.

Then one by one the crystal balls unfolded like flower buds that bloomed in an instant. Each of its petals detached and scattered like shards of glass, then assembled and connected into a single section that slowly formed a large glass screen floating in the middle of the room.

Moments later, the transparent glass screen creased to bring out the dark purple patches that floated around.

Gradually the purple patches faded, turning gray.

The mist thinned, and the silhouette of the tower appeared of the Shangri-La Precious Hall.

At first it looks far away. Then it gets closer.

Getting close…

More luminous.

Then it starts to look detailed.

The furious face of Emperor Shangri-La appeared shortly afterwards. The man clenched his hands on the balcony railing while his gaze was straight towards the screen displaying a spectacular euphoria at the Neraida Noble Hall. He muttered something with his jaws tightened, then an official bowed beside him, whispered something and smiled obliquely. The emperor was stunned with a frown.

Kush Thunder smiled faintly, then glanced towards Agathias Katz with a meaningful gaze.

The on-screen display continued outside the Noble Hall.

Emperor Shangri-La entered his carriage with a sullen face while the crowd here and there reached out their hands, trying to reach for the Emperor's carriage.

A number of other trains were lined up behind him, passing through the crowd of people who were lined up along the road while flailing towards the trains.

The display ended when the Emperor's carriage and the officials passed from the area of the Hall of Honor and the other chariots scattered in different directions, until everyone's crowd was less and less.

Nothing happened.

There was no vampire fairy attack on Shangri-La.

"Just enough!" emperor's Instructions. That was enough to prove that whoever was behind the movement of the vampire fairy herd was Neraida's own person, he added in his heart.

"Shangri-La clearly does not accept defeat," commented an official in the second-class row who—Emperor sure-is on the side of the defectors.

"And obviously they just came out of the Hall of Honor when the attack happened" the Duke said. Then he glanced towards Kush Thunder. "Our suspicions are not proven if that's what you mean!" he added.

Kush Thunder fell silent. Although he was the emperor's younger brother, his standing was no higher than that of the Duke. Plus Duke's reasonable rebuttal, he felt helpless.

The emperor laughed in his heart. I don't know who elbowed whom, he said inwardly. But both are slipping!

"Although, the possibility of a raid thought to be triggered by a grudge is also dubious" another official from the second-class ranks spoke up.

All eyes now turned towards the man.

"If the attack was related to the Erebos massacre, then why did they just attack Neraida?" the second-class official added. "Why didn't they attack Shangri-La too?"

"Good question!" the Emperor chimed in with a laugh in his heart. The discussion is starting to get interesting, he thought.
