Poison Eve

Poison Eve
Chapters-3

Nazareth had just arrived at the entrance of the audience when he heard the talent scout ask a girl in the middle of the arena, holding out her crystal ball while bowing respectfully in the typical noble style, "Can you tell me what your name is?"

"Katz," replied the girl in the middle of the talent dig arena. "Nadine Katz!"

Katz! thought Nazareth. Is she the officer's daughter?

Then when the girl placed her palm on the crystal ball, the large hall suddenly froze.

There is no reaction!

The crystal ball didn't even blink at all.

Nazareth smothered his mouth with a fist while turning his face away, hiding a mocking laughter.

The talent digger snorted silently while twirling his eyeballs with a look of disgust.

The talent scouting officials from the nine prestigious alliances around the balcony gagged in boredom.

"Royal protective gear! His spiritual talent was not present at all," they murmured deeply regretfully.

Nazareth was about to turn around and rushed downstairs to meet Nadine to ask if she was the daughter of the officer he had met on the street, but then suddenly stopped when the whole hall froze again.

He looked once more into the middle of the arena. Next to his eyebrows raised high, feeling a little awkward.

Apparently the appearance of a girl in the middle of the arena mesmerized everyone, even the nine honor officials.

Nazareth frowned and looked around.

The presence of the young girl seemed to have shocked these nobles.

In his heart, Nazareth laughed. Well, I can't blame them! he said in his heart. The attractiveness of the girl in the middle of the arena can indeed make people insane.

"Ehem!" The young girl in the middle of the arena cleared her throat. His voice rattled the talent scouting officials and the talent-digging masters from their entanglement.

One of the officials coughed slowly, while the other moved furiously in their place when it suddenly awakened to the uneasiness that they had just embarrassed themselves.

"Master.." the girl raised her eyebrows politely. "Can I start, sirs?"

"Emm, Miss. sure, yeah. Please!" The chief of the talent diggers said a little nervously. "May we know what your name is?"

"Geelyn Katz!"

Katz-again? thought Nazareth. How many Katz clans are there in this city? he wondered in his heart.

The arena of digging talent began to twinkle and flicker. Seven colorful, rainbow-like disc-shaped circles have enveloped Evelyn's body.

It was warm, Evelyn thought. I feel comfortable in that circle of light. It was as if he was soaking in a pool of warm water with a therapeutic aroma.

The girl held out her hand. A bright light emanated from his palm. And the protective fairy appeared.

For a moment everyone just stuttered dazzled by the light from Evelyn's palm, but then groaned as it became clear that the protective elf she had was a wild plant.

The talent diggers retracted their chakras and lowered their hands with a slumped shoulder.

"Another useless protective fairy!" grumbled some people.

"Next!" call the talent digger who has a crystal ball, getting impatient.

"With all due respect.Sirs!" Evelyn interrupted. "You guys haven't tested my spiritual talent yet" he protested as he glanced towards the crystal ball in the hands of one of the talent diggers.

The owner of the crystal ball groaned boredly, "There is no need to be tested again," he said dismissively. "A useless protector like weed has never had spiritual power" he booed.

Those talent diggers exchanged glances with each other.

One of them looked at Evelyn with eyes squinted. This girl seemed a little different to the others, he thought fondly. He glanced at the owner of the crystal ball and nodded his head slightly.

Then the owner of the crystal ball let out a rough sigh. "Alright, alright!" said surrender. "Testing spiritual talent won't waste much time either." He held out his crystal ball.

And when Evelyn put her palm down, the crystal ball shook and darkened. The entire hall shook like it was in an earthquake.

Everyone held their breath and was flabbergasted. No exception to Nazareth.

Then slowly a bright white light began to radiate dazzlingly all over the place.

The owner of the crystal ball was stunned and reflexively forced to expend energy to keep the crystal ball in his hands.

SLASHY!

That bright white light burst out encompassing the entire place, until the entire hall only looked white.

Silent.

Then slowly, that dazzling bright white light gradually faded away.

Everyone is raking at the same time.

Nazareth frowned. As long as the crystal ball showed a reaction, even if only a line of light had been proven to have spiritual power, he thought. Then this blinding light is possible…

"The world of light is full!" one of the talent officials.

"A remarkable gift of birth!" yell at the others.

"This is the first time in a hundred years!" yell at the others again.

Silence swept through the room once more.

"Miss, it turns out you were born with full spiritual power!" the owner of the crystal ball told me.

"And what does that mean?" Evelyn asked with a curious expression of a child.

"The strength of the resurrected protective elf, in addition to its shape, spiritual power is also important" the owner of the crystal ball explained. Many people after her protective elf was resurrected had no spiritual power. Just like those kids. Such people can certainly not be spiritual masters for the rest of their lives. If at the time of resurrection one's protective elf had spiritual power, even if only a line of light could develop through practice. This is what is meant by the gift of light, and that means natural spiritual power."

Natural spiritual power? Evelyn frowned. What the crystal ball absorbed earlier was my inner energy. May not what is meant by natural spiritual power be internal energy?

"The highs and lows of spiritual power when awakened determine the highs and lows that a spiritual master can reach," the man continued. "The higher the spiritual power, the faster it cultivates. So, what is meant by full spiritual power is. The power of light upon awakening has reached the highest level."

Evelyn listened to the explanation of the talent digger with a frown, trying to digest word for word.

"Every ten levels of the protective elf has a title," continued the owner of the crystal ball. "After the protective fairy is resurrected, her title is warrior fairy. The lowest spiritual power is called a level one warrior fairy. The highest ranked warrior elf was called a level ten warrior. Spiritual power that can reach the highest level, level ten is full spiritual power."

Evelyn's eyes spontaneously rounded.

"I've never found someone with full spiritual power" said the owner of the crystal ball again. Long ago when my guardian elf was resurrected also my spiritual power was only level two, he said inwardly.

"Spiritual power can only reach level ten?" ask Evelyn. "Can't it be higher?"

The talent scouting officials and the talent digging masters laughed in response.

"Of course you can't" replied the owner of the crystal ball.
