SHAPESHIFTERS

SHAPESHIFTERS
The Part 10

After returning from the forest, Marco who planned only to rest for a while, by lying in his bed, was in a deep sleep until the afternoon before night.

Marco was indeed exhausted, after doing desperate actions to save the lives of the people in the forest earlier.

Marco jumped down from his bed when he woke up, and realized he had been asleep for too long.

Inevitably, Marco must cancel his plans to meet Sister Martha.

Although Marco forced the circumstances to go to the monastery now, he was definitely not allowed to see Sister Martha.

Let alone the hours like today, Marco who came was still early in the morning, always rejected.

Especially if it is too late and almost late?

Not only rejected, Marco will certainly be expelled from the monastery.

I don't know what illness Sister Martha has.

"Suster Martha is sick! It has been more than seven years, and there is still no change. Sister Martha is still unconscious, and her condition is still weak, without us knowing what causes it."

That was all that one of the sisters who met Marco said, when Marco went to the convent, shortly after he returned to Bridget's city.

According to the nurse, Sister Martha was found not far from the orphanage, in a fainting state.

It was really sudden, because Sister Martha did not look sick or bothered strangely, when they had morning mass that day.

Without the slightest injury, or signs of poison, or anything that could be the suspected cause of his illness, Sister Martha was found by several sisters who were about to pluck wild berries, behind the orphanage building.

From then on, Sister Martha was put into a special room, and only a few people could meet her.

Doctors monitored her health, and several nurses took turns examining, treating and cleaning her body.

Other than those people, no one else was allowed in, to meet Sister Martha in the room.

If calculated, since then until now, it means that more than fifteen years have passed.

Sister Martha is not dead, but she is not alive.

Sister Martha was still breathing, without ever waking up for that long, as if she was in a long sleep without knowing how to get up again.

It's really weird, and it doesn't make sense.

But, come to think of it, anything could have happened.

What is too surprising?

Isn't Marco weird, too?

Who could have thought, if Marco could turn into an animal, it was not a strange and reasonable thing?

Marco checked the state of all the farm animals in his warehouse.

The building is large and spacious, storing all of its livestock, animal feed, gardening equipment, and its unsold corn harvest

Square by plot of his petite place, Marco watched carefully, lest there be any snakes sneak in.

Marco's pet chickens, already sleeping in their beds, as well as his cows that had stopped eating.

Her new pet sheep, about a month ago, was small, and needed extra attention to keep from dying, and could produce wool for Marco later.

Piles of sacks filled with dried corn, there appeared to be some hollow ones.

If it wasn't a rat, it would have been the raccoon that stole the corn.

Marco kept going slowly, while examining everything carefully.

There are some fence posts that seem to need fixing.

Marco must fix it tomorrow, because the fence that surrounds the plantation area, and where his pets roam around during the day, there are also some damaged.

The longer the livestock that increase in number, the more difficult it will be to watch alone.

After feeling all the animals are complete in the farm shed, and it looks like everything is fine.

Marco drove his car, headed to the animal shelter.

"I want to adopt a dog!" marco said, when he was greeted by two people, who were guarding the place.

"What kind of dog do you want?" ask one of the animal shelter guards, who is now walking slowly with Marco in the room, who keeps the abandoned animals.

In a fenced room, Marco looks around at some seemingly healthy dogs, though some of them look very old.

Marco wants a dog that's not too old.

"German shepherd!" marco answered, glued to a dog, which seemed to catch his attention.

"Good choice!"

The guard then opened the cage door, and took out a dog, which appeared to be between one and two years old.

Without lingering, the dog seemed to like Marco to be his new friend and master.

Marco's chosen dog wiggled its tail, as it sniffed the crouching Marco, stroking the dog slowly with his hands.

"He likes you!" the guard was excited.

"You still need to fill out the paperwork, before you can bring it home," the guard continued.

While walking slowly, Marco and his new pet dog, following behind the guard, walked out of the room, and signed the documents at the front desk.

After thanking him, when all the adoption paperwork was in order, Marco took his dog in his car.

"Come, Duke! Up!" invite Marco, who names his dog spontaneously, while opening the door in the passenger section.

Duke hopped up, and sat in the seat beside Marco, then Marco closed the door of his car, then walked to the driver's side.

"You're gonna be a good friend of mine, aren't you?!" marco said, stroking the Duke, and greeted with an excited-looking bark.

"okay! We're going to my house, now!" said Marco.

By driving his car at medium speed, Marco brought Duke home.

Every now and then, Duke barked with his head that he took out, from the window of Marco's open car.

No one is surprised.

Marco easily tamed, and befriended other types of pets, but not so with wild animals.

Marco could not overcome or try to tame the wild instinct, which is true in animals that are accustomed to wild and savage.

That's why, Marco can't cope with coyotes alone, and needs help.

"Duke! Let's stop by to buy some food for you for a second!" said Marco, then turn to a minimarket, which is on the way to his house.

After Marco refueled his car, Marco walked into the minimarket with Duke, and chose the dog food inside.

Or rather, Marco just bought it, because Duke chose the food he wanted.

Marco paid for a sack of dry food and a few cans of wet food for his dog, as well as paying for the fuel that was filled in his semi-truck.

With Duke, Marco continued his journey to his home.

"This is your new home! Do you want to sleep here or with my other pet?" marco asked, after finishing feeding the Duke.

The Duke barks and goes to Marco's door, as if asking Marco to take him out of the house.

Marco took Duke to the farmhouse, and it seemed Duke would rather sleep there.

Seeing the Duke who seemed comfortable in the farmhouse, Marco left him, and returned home.

"Duke! I'm sending them to you!" marco said, and was greeted with Duke's barking.
