The Part 36
Marco did not understand at all what was wrong with his words, so that it could make Adaline seem very agitated.
It seemed, what Marco said was nothing strange, and Marco was not lying about his farm either.

"Why can you be so different?" adaline asked, looking at Marco fixedly, after having looked back and forth, with her eyes moving wildly.
"What do you mean?" marco asked, completely confused by the current direction of Adaline's conversation.
"You can raise cattle? It's weird for us shapeshifters!" adaline said, with her voice slightly raised.
Adaline then looks wrong, because her voice had made some people look at them both there.
"Come with me! We talked in a quiet place" said Adaline, then took Marco's hand, and led him away from the store.
Adaline kept walking quickly while slightly pulling Marco's hand, until they were between two buildings.
Marco just followed Adaline, without commenting anything.
"The first time you came here, did you see or hear the sounds of other animals, other than me and my brothers?" ask Adaline.
"Hmmm... I think, nothing. Then what's the connection?" said Marco.
"You don't understand? We can turn into animals, and native animals usually feel afraid of our existence" Adaline says.
"Yes. My chickens must have been afraid that I'd deformed into their predators" Marco said.
"That's not what I mean! Instinctively native animals will fear our people, even though we are human," Adaline said.
"That's why, I know that you're no ordinary rabbit. Because you don't run scared when you're close enough to us" Adaline continued.
Marco fell silent as he thought of Adaline's words.
"Didn't you see? You've been here three times. Have you ever seen a single animal other than a shapeshifter?" ask Adaline.
"Hmmm... No," answered Marco.
"Do you understand now?" ask Adaline.
"Yes, but." answered Marco.
"You're different!" adaline Sela.
"You're very different from the usual shapeshifter" Adaline continued.
Marco fell silent again, and knew nothing more to say.
"You can hold some of your form, you can be among the real animals... Is there something you're hiding?" ask Adaline.
"What do you mean?" Marco asked back.
"Hmmm... I mean, are you evolving?" ask Adaline.
"I don't know. When you ask me how to hold form, I don't lie either. I really don't know anything. So I can't answer your question" Marco said.
Adaline looked more agitated.
Adaline's eyes moved wildly, occasionally looking at Marco, then re-twisting her eyeballs, with her body moving around, as if completely distracted by Marco's reply.
"You're not lying to me, are you?" ask Adaline.
"No. I'm speaking honestly" Marco said.
"I just never thought, if anything I could do was something unusual. I really thought that all the shapeshifters could do it" Marco continued.
"Difficult to believe! You're really full of surprises" Adaline said.
"Other thing you can do?" ask Adaline.
"I don't understand what your question means. Because I don't feel like there's anything different about me compared to you guys" Marco replied flatly.
"My parents died when I was too young, and without a second thought, in order to get on with life, I went back to our old house, and opened a corn garden...
I also bought some farm animals, using the rest of my parents' money...

Adaline now looked much calmer, even as if she seemed to feel guilty.
"I'm sorry." said Adaline.
"Maybe if your parents are still alive, it'll be another story" Adaline continued.
"I'm sorry... I shouldn't have mentioned your parents" said Adaline hurriedly.
"It's okay... I'm also sorry, for not being able to give you the answer you want to hear" Marco said flatly.
Adaline took a deep breath, then exhaled it quickly and violently.
"Let's get out of here! Or do you still want to look around?" ask Adaline.
"I'll go back to my place. My job there, I've neglected too many times" Marco said.
"All right then. Let's just go back to my house, now!" take Adaline.
Marco nodded his head.
By walking slowly, they returned down the street in the trade center, and again led to the house of the Sums family was located.
Occasionally, Marco caught the wet eyes of Adaline, who was being stolen from looking at him.
