Part 42's
The look on Bella's face implies nothing but confusion, though Marco has already explained about her.
Supposedly, Marco had told Bella before, so it was not as sudden as it is now.
It is possible, if Marco has discussed with Bella, since Marco knows the truth about his identity, Bella can help give Marco the best way out.
This time, Marco had to rack his own brains, for the Sums family to stop suspecting him.
And it seems, it's pretty hard.
Because, if Marco just dodged just like that, most likely the Sums family would not believe the reason.
When some of the guests congratulated Marco, Adaline sat down with her family members and walked over to where Marco and Bella were sitting.
"Congratulations!" adaline said with a flat face.
"Thank you" said Marco, smiling to cover up his discomfort.
"Thank you." Bella's words followed later.
"Please, enjoy the party!" continued Bella.
"Hmmm... But, we were not invited," Adaline said.
"So, huh?! I've been expecting it... Is it possible that you are from the Sums family?" ask Bella.
"Yes. Adaline's from the Sums family" Marco said.
"Oh, yes! My name, Bella!" said Bella introducing herself, while extending her hand to Adaline.
"My name, Adaline!" adaline said, welcoming Bella's hand, and shaking hands with her.
"Our wedding was done suddenly. The plan, just a blessing at the church, then a regular dinner...
We were also surprised to see the event my parents were preparing for, which was much different from the original plan" Bella said.
"My cake shop will open the day after tomorrow. So, I asked Marco to have our wedding done, before I got busy at the cake shop...
I've guessed that Marco must not have told you. Because I thought there would only be dinner with my parents" Bella continued.
"Oh... That's how it looks," Adaline said.
"So Marco's told you about us?" adaline.
"Yes. Marco told me about you guys" replied Bella.
"Hmmm... You guys haven't planned a wedding since long before?" ask Adaline.
"I'm sorry... I may be talking too much" continued Adaline hurriedly.
"It's okay. I had the courage to propose to Bella two days ago" Marco replied.
"We've known each other since we were in primary school. But, no one thought, if from friendship, we could fall in love with each other," said Bella, then smiled widely.
Adaline seemed to be nodding her head.
"Can I meet your other family?" ask Bella.
"Eh! Ii'm sorry... Waita minute!" adaline said, then walked back to where the Sums family was sitting.
"Thank you.." whispered Marco to Bella.
"No need to thank you, dear... I will definitely try to help you. But, you owe me an explanation," Bella said.
Adaline is then seen coming back to Marco and Bella, along with all the members of the Sums family.
"These are both my parents and my brothers" Adaline said.
Bella then reached out her hand, and shook hands with the members of the Sums family, one by one.
"The Filnts!"
"Seba!"
"Copy!"
"Fent!"
Says the members of the Sums family introduced themselves in turn.
"If you want to talk to both of us, we can move seats over there," Bella asked, pointing at one of the empty tables.
"I'm sorry we were just interrupting your happy occasion today" Flints said.
"No problem. I'm happy to see you all" said Bella, walking to an empty table, holding hands with Marco.
The Sums family also seemed to catch up, and shifted the seats, so that all of them would get to the seat.
"I hope your arrival was intentional to congratulate us" Bella said.
At that instant, the facial features of the entire Sums family changed drastically.
It is clear, if they are being misbehaved, and seem uncomfortable because of the words of Bella, to make the atmosphere there become awkward for a while.
"I'm sorry... Honestly, we came here to see Marco. There was something we wanted to ask him," Flints said, after some time everything was silent.
"What's wrong?" marco asked, pretending not to understand.
"Can we talk separately?" ask Flints.
"I'm sorry... Not that I want to interfere in your affairs. But, if it's just an ordinary matter about your people, you can talk here, without worrying about my whereabouts" Bella said, in a soft but firm voice.
"Bella knows all about us" Marco said.
"But..." Flints hesitated to speak.
"Ask me!" said Seba.
Flints remained silent.
"Is it possible, you're the Alpha's heir in hiding?" ask Seba.
"Hmmm... It doesn't feel possible. But, for what reason, so you can guess that I'm Alpha's heir?" said Marco.
"You are too different, compared to the other shapeshifters," Seba replied.
"That's it?" ask Marco.
The members of the Sums family looked confused, and looked at each other with their eyes.
"I don't think that's a good reason. Because, I don't know anything about my abilities, which you guys consider special," Marco said.
"What about your parents?" ask Seba.
"Don't I tell you that they died when I was a kid? That's why, I don't know much about our people" Marco replied.
"Is there anything else that can make you guess, that I'm the heir to Alpha? Is it impossible that somewhere else, there is a shapeshifter that has abilities like mine?" ask Marco.
Marco's words, it seems, can reduce the suspicions of the Sums family, although it seems that their suspicions of Marco have not completely disappeared.
Marco took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly.
"I'm sorry, because I may not be able to satisfy your curiosity. But, from the very beginning we met, I've told Adaline...
I really don't know how I can be different from you. If you think so," said Marco.
"Is there anything you want to ask?" ask Marco.
Both Seba and Flints, as well as the other members of the Sums family, simply fell silent, while looking at each other.
"You can enjoy the party... We have to go back, to see the other guests" Marco said.
"Happy!" flints said, as Marco and Bella stood up from their seats.
"Thank you" said Marco, then walked away holding Bella's hand.
After Marco and Bella returned to their original seats, the Sums looked as if they were about to leave the party.
And sure enough, not long after, all the members of the Sums family, approached Marco and Bella, then said goodbye.
"We go home first. What, once in a while, can we come back here?" ask Flints.
"of course. You can come to my house, because it's Bella's parents' house" Marco said.
"All right then! Excuse me first" Flints said.
