The Part 94

After some time had passed, all those sitting on the veranda seemed to be immersed in their respective thoughts.

"But, he could have done it to gain Marco's trust, and maybe he wouldn't have fouled his own hand either, for the death of the substitute Alpha."

Finally, Beta answered the question himself.

"If so, what would be the benefit for him?" ask Delta.

"If I'm in that position... Hmmmm... How, huh?!

If Marco puts his trust in me, then I will easily influence Marco, to do everything I want...

Without the need for me to force it with my ability to control the mind," Beta replied.

"Then, if Marco killed the substitute Alpha, then of course the only one to blame is Marco and not me" Beta continued.

Delta looked jolted, with his face suddenly paled.

"What's wrong?" ask Marco.

Delta stared fixedly at Marco, and still remained silent for a while.

"If you kill a surrogate Alpha, then your status in the people who are also Alpha, will not create suspicion that leads to other people, especially the Elves...

Everyone would have thought that Alpha was a surrogate, just because of the power struggle of a fellow shapeshifter." Delta said.

"Your blood mixed with the descendants of the Elves, the Elves cannot control your mind...

Unless there's something that can trigger your mind, until you're in control" Delta continued.

"Do you understand the direction of my conversation?" delta asked with a serious look, while still looking at Marco.

Marco did not immediately respond to Delta's words, and chose to think about them first.

"You mean that Mommy Marco did all of this on purpose, so that Marco could trust him, and be able to follow all his desires?" ask Beta.

"If that's true, it means he's planning something big, and not just about the shapeshifter, but about Marco," Beta continued.

"Are you unaware of Marco's power?" ask Delta.

"Yes. I know Marco's power is many times over, compared to all of us" Beta replied.

"Marco's "ability to survive is also not uncommon...

Because, if Marco was just an ordinary shapeshifter, he would have been crippled, perhaps even near death, when he was injured on his back...

Because the poison shapeshifter enters the vital part of the nerve, and is not removed from there for a long time." continued Gamma.

"That's it! We all missed it! No offspring is perfect, without both parents coming close to perfection" Delta said.

"Your mommy is indeed an elf! You are the strongest creature ever born on this earth!" delta looks confident.

"I think you're overreacting" Marco said, shaking his head, and turning his eyes the other way.

"Marco! You can't underestimate all this!" delta.

"True Delta!" connect Beta.

"If you are affected by those who can control your mind, your power will be used, to destroy the power of the leaders of other races...

With ease, you can become the ruler of all races" Beta said.

Beta then seemed to flinch.

"God...! Don't-don't, that's your Mommy plan!" beta said with a raised voice.

"He wants to abolish the rule of the leaders of the other races, and make you ruler, but under their control, the Elves" Beta continued.

"Yes. I think so," said Delta.

"If all of your allegations are true, then we are close to making a mistake, by triggering a civil war between fellow shapeshifters" Gamma said.

"But all that is still a guess." said Marco.

Beta, Gamma and Delta looked at each other, then almost at the same time looked at Marco.

Rather than just guessing, there was no other way, Marco had to immediately go to the castle, and meet his surrogate Alpha and Mommy together.

And as much as possible, without involving another shapeshifter, and only himself went there.

Marco then stood up, and walked in leaving the three shapeshifters outside.

In the kitchen there is only Seba who looks busy cooking cakes, and Bella is not seen there.

"Where's Bella?" ask Marco.

Marco then follows Bella into the room, and the woman appears to be lying on the bed.

Slowly, Marco lay down beside Bella, and Bella opened her eyes.

"Am I bothering you?" ask Marco.

"No. I am not sleeping. I just want to lie down, because my body feels sore" replied Bella.

"What's wrong?" ask Bella.

Marco hugged Bella.

"I feel confused. I was supposed to meet my Mommy at the castle. But, there's a slight sense of hesitation to leave you," Marco replied.

"What are your plans so you can get in there? Is it with Nancy?" ask Bella.

"If you go with him, I think it might be okay...

Because yesterday he told me that he would make sure that nothing would happen to you, as long as you go there with him...

You don't have to think too much about me. I don't think anything bad will happen to me" Bella continued.

"Why do you sound so sure?" ask Marco.

"Nancy promised me, while putting a shapeshifter necklace around my neck, that she would take care of you and your future offspring...

And apparently, Nancy really meant it" Bella replied.

"And you believe it?" ask Marco.

"Yes. I think so," replied Bella.

Hearing Bella's words, Marco became more convinced of his plans to go to the castle as soon as possible.

"When do you intend to go there?" ask Bella.

"Hmmm... If I have to go with Nancy, then I have to call Nancy first. Or wait for him to call me" replied Marco.

"Where do you keep Nancy's phone number?" ask Marco.

"It's still in my bag" Bella replied, then pointed to the bag she was wearing yesterday, as she went to the main settlement of the shapeshifter.

Marco then took out a paper with Nancy's home phone number.

Marco kissed Bella on the forehead, before she walked out of the room.

Without any more lingering, Marco then dialed the number listed on the paper.

"Hello!" There was a welcome from across the phone in a quiet voice.

"Hello! Grandmas! It's Marco!" greet Marco.

"Yes. What's up?" ask Nancy from across the street.

"Help me so that I can quickly meet my Mommy in the castle" Marco said hurriedly.

For a while, it didn't sound right from across the phone.

"Are you planning something?" ask Nancy.

"I just want to see Mommy as soon as possible" Marco replied.

"Hmmm... Wait a minute, I'll call you back! I'll check, if there's a chance for us to visit the castle" replied Nancy.

The phone connection was then cut off.

Marco waited inside the house, without getting away from the phone attached to the wall.

"What are you planning?" ask Gamma.

Marco looked at the coming of Gamma's voice, and there Beta and Delta were standing together staring at Marco.

"I'm tired of all conjecture for conjecture. And I want all of this to be over soon" replied Marco.

"Marco! If you meet your Mommy, I'm afraid that you'll believe her, and get into her control" Beta said.

"Then what do you want it to be like?" ask Marco.

"We have to go with you! And hope that with us, you can still be aware and not be affected by your Mommy," replied Beta.

The phone at Marco's house then rang.
