SHAPESHIFTERS
The Part 50

Marco did not want to believe all the shapeshifters, who came suddenly in his place, without making sure they had no bad intentions.

Beta who was shaped like a wolf, then looked like he was bowing to Marco.

"You're the Alpha, aren't you?" ask Beta.

"What's your reason for saying that?" Marco asked Beta.

"Shapeshifter can only submit to Alpha" Beta replied.

"But, it doesn't prove anything, that you are indeed Beta," Marco said still insisting.

"The shapeshifter, a substitute Alpha follower, won't be able to bow to another Alpha" Beta said.

Marco was silent and confused.

Marco did not know the hierarchical makeup of the shapeshifter, and how the shapesifter treated the leader.

"I was in a hurry, and left Sheba behind me. I'll come back after him, if you don't believe me," said Beta, then walked away.

"Wait on! I'm not done with you!" said Marco.

Beta stopped moving, and turned to face Marco.

"Without the need for you to yell at me, I must have obeyed your orders" Beta said.

There is a little trust, and a little doubt.

Marco became a gamang.

But, if it's true that it's Beta, Marco better let it stay there, and wait for Seba to come as he said.

"If it's what you say, then Seba means he's heading here, right?" ask Marco.

"Yes" answered Beta.

"Non't go anywhere! We are both waiting for Seba to come" Marco said.

"Okay" answered Beta.

For some time they both stayed there, Seba was still not seen.

Marco began to lose his patience, and began to assume that the shapeshifter in front of him had lied to Marco.

"Why hasn't Seba come yet? Didn't you just say, he was behind you?" ask Marco, in a cynical tone.

"Do you know anything about shapeshifter?" ask Beta.

Marco was silent, without commenting.

"Seba is just a regular shapeshifter. There's no way you'd expect that his strength would be balanced with mine, right?!" beta.

"What do you mean?" marco asked who was increasingly annoyed with Beta, because he considered just a lot of bragging, and looking for excuses.

"Alpha, the leader and the strongest. Then Beta, Gamma, then Delta. There would be no way an ordinary member could match our strength," Beta explained.

"If they're as strong as we are, they don't need leaders, nor do they need to submit to Alpha" Beta continued.

"Then, how can the replacement Alpha now shift the previous Alpha?" ask Marco.

"He killed Alpha, of course he could lead, with the Alpha power he stole...

But, the direct descendant of the real Alpha, that's what will hold full power...

Unless, you lose to a surrogate Alpha, and without having any offspring...

Then the replacement Alpha will take all of your power" Beta said.

"I already know that. All I'm asking is, how did he kill an Alpha?" ask Marco.

"Alpha must have been fooled by him. Or something he uses to be a threat" Beta replied.

"Not that, no Alpha can resist it?" marco asked, in a mocking tone.

"Yes, Alpha can't be challenged. But, all shapeshifters can challenge Alpha, if he's brave enough" Beta replied.

"Puff... Opposed can't, but challenged can? What kind of rules is that?!" marco said, in disbelief at what he heard.

"That rule has been around since the first shapeshifter was born. Then you'll laugh at him?" ask Beta.

Hearing Beta's words that were too calm and flat, only made Marco even more annoyed.

If only, he had nothing to do with the shapeshifter, Marco was indeed in no mood to get involved with that race.

Marco almost lost his patience, when from a distance saw a wolf running closer towards the corn field owned by Marco.

"I'm sorry... I can't go any faster than this anymore" said the wolf, who appeared to be Seba, with his breath puffing.

Marco could finally feel relieved, because it meant that the shapeshifter in front of him was not lying.

"Alpha is Beta." said Seba.

"I've introduced myself, but Alpha doesn't trust me" Beta said.

"Why do you all have to choose the shape that makes you run? Wouldn't it be more efficient if you flew?" ask Marco.

"Then what? You want us to be the center of attention?" ask Beta.

"Now there must be information about you, and we have to be more careful, so that the Alpha surrogate does not suspect your place of residence," said Seba.

Seba then looked back and forth as if he were confused.

"What's wrong?" ask Marco.

"Why did you meet one of these corn plants?" Seba asked back.

Marco then looked around.

His corn crop, many of which were damaged and broken because Marco hit him with such a big shape.

"He still needs to learn a lot." Beta chirped.

"Yes. I-i know. Instead, we seek you first" said Seba.

"Wouldn't we get out of this corn garden? The former damage, will attract attention when viewed from space," continued Seba.

Marco was silent for a while, before he finally invited Beta and Seba to go to the back of his house.

"We'll just go over there!" take Marco, then turn around and walk, followed by Beta with Seba.

When the three of them were already at the back of Marco's house, Seba then changed his form into a human, in one corner that became the place to change shape at that time.

Marco and Beta waited until Seba returned.

"Where are my children?" ask Seba, who is now human and has also been dressed.

"Fint and Fent may still be in the farm shed. If Adaline is in the house. I asked him to take care of Bella" Marco replied.

"Alpha must first learn to regulate its instincts" Beta said suddenly.

"What do you mean?" ask Marco, to Beta.

"Alpha should be able to know, anyone she sees. You should be able to distinguish us, even though we are in animal form, also you should be able to distinguish the shapeshifter of your opponent or comrade" Seba replied.

"He almost attacked me earlier" said Beta.

"Yes. Flints said so too. He almost got hit by an Alpha during a visit here" Seba said.

"First of all you have to train your instincts" Beta said.

"How is it?" ask Marco.

"Call all the shapeshifters in this place!" beta to Seba.

Seba nodded his head, then prepared to walk away.

"I want to check on Bella first, before I learn what you want to teach me" Marco said.

Keeping his form, Marco walked into the house, and continued to walk into the room.

Adaline, who was in the room with Bella, immediately stood up and walked out when Marco had passed the door, as if she had recognized that it was Marco coming into the room.

While Bella, though with a tense face, walked slowly towards Marco, then reached out her hand and touched Marco.

"Marco?" ask Bella.

Marco then changed shape, returning to being human at that very moment.

Just by covering his lower body with a blanket, Marco then hugged Bella.

"I'm sorry... I must have scared you" said Marco quietly.

"It's okay. Over time, I will get used to it" Bella said.
