The Part 55

While enjoying their lunch, besides Marco, everything in the room seemed familiar and had a casual conversation.

Marco was busy immersed in his own thoughts.

Although I was furious with Beta, Beta said that Marco must be more persistent in trying, in order to be a reliable Alpha, it has a point.

So, until the food was eaten by Marco, he was not at all interested in talking about trivial things, as they are currently talking about with laughter.

"Maybe! You mean you've met Gamma and Delta?" marco asked, interrupting the light talks that were going on there.

"Yes. I had a chance to meet them at a place far away from here" Beta replied.

"Aren't you asking where they live? Until Flints had to find them again" asked Marco.

"Hmmm... Unthinkable to me at that time. Because we met by accident. And then I met Gamma and Delta, at different places and times" Beta replied.

Seba and Adaline had already started tidying up the table, and lifting up all the dirty eating utensils, and storing the leftovers that had not been eaten.

"Is something bothering you?" bella asked half a whisper.

"Nothing is too important. You don't have to worry" Marco replied, then drank some water from his glass.

"You want to lie down even for a moment with me?" ask Marco.

"Why? You tired?" bella asked with an anxious face.

"No. I just want to spend a little time, just with you. Before I start training with Beta," replied Marco quietly.

"Hmmm... Okay fine! Come on, let's go to the room...!" take Bella.

"I want to take Bella to go rest to the room first!" said Marco.

And without waiting for people to respond, Marco held Bella's hand and walked into their room.

"What's the matter exactly? Is it because of this shapeshifter problem, that you can't stop worrying about?" ask Bella.

Marco, who was lying on the bed hugging Bella, who was also lying with him, remained silent for some time.

"No. I just want to be alone with you. That's all!" marco replied.

"Aren't you going to take a minute for me?" ask Marco.

"Hmmm... I've always wanted to spend my time with you, baby... But, this time you are a bit different than usual, so I asked, " replied Bella.

"Then, there's nothing you need to ask. Just let me hug you as much as I can, okay?!" said Marco.

Until Bella finally falls asleep, Marco still hugs her tightly.

Marco kissed Bella on the forehead, and slowly pulled out her hand, which became the resting place for Bella's neck.

Really slowly, Marco went down from the bed, he did not want to wake Bella who seemed to be asleep.

When Marco came out of the room, other than Seba washing old utensils and cooking, Marco did not see any of the shapeshifters currently gathered in his house.

Marco then walked out, up to the back of the house, and saw Beta who seemed to be collecting dried maple leaves, to form a mountain high enough.

"What are you doing?" marco asked, walking closer, approaching Beta.

"I'd rather relax under a tree than in a house" Beta replied.

"Do you want us to start your training soon?" ask Beta.

"If you still want to rest, go ahead. We can do the exercises in a moment" Marco replied, then sat down on the pile of leaves Beta had gathered.

Beta also sat there, and, side by side, looked out at the yard in front of the farmhouse, where Marco's cattle were roaming.

Before answering Beta's question, Marco followed the direction of his eyes.

Apparently, Beta was looking at Adaline and her brothers, who seemed to be playing around with Marco's pets.

"If it were for me, it would be just a normal thing" Marco replied.

"Why? You wanna try it?" ask Marco.

"Yes. I want us all shapeshifters, free to roam around without scaring anyone. Including the real animals," answered Beta.

"Oh, yes! I just remembered. You are an Alpha can tame all native animals, including wild animals. Have you tried it before?" ask Beta.

"Because, if what I see is here, only animals that are usually kept by ordinary humans, who roam around," continued Beta.

"Hmmm... I don't know about that. And I never tried it" replied Marco.

"Meaning, there are still many of your abilities that you don't know yet" said Beta.

"You can order a real animal to help you when you're in trouble... Be it pets, or animals that usually live wild," continued Beta.

"What do you know about Alpha? I mean, my abilities," asked Marco.

"You can change the shape of the animal as you like quickly, without the need to return to human form first...

When you choose to take the form of a large bird, you should also be able to fight, by maintaining some of your human form" Beta replied.

"You must have tried that before, right? Some were birds, and the rest were still human" Beta asked.

"Yes. I tried it already. I even tried to fly, taking Bella with me" Marco replied.

"There's not much I need to teach. There's nothing I should teach you. We just need to practice fighting, and I'll be your opponent. That's all!" beta.

"It depends largely on how fast you think." Beta continued.

"What do you mean?" ask Marco.

"Hmmm... You know the opponent of any predatory animal?" ask Beta.

Marco was silent.

"I ask this because usually, the predatory animal form is definitely an option to fight," said Beta.

"For example, if your opponent chooses the form of a cobra, what animal can defeat a cobra?" ask Beta.

"Eagle," answered Marco, without needing to think too long, for he had once caught the king cobra, and carried it away from the campers of the time.

"More or less like that. That's all you need to remember, and learn, so you don't choose the wrong shape when you're going to fight" said Beta.

"When your opponent chooses the wrong shape, and he intends to change the other form, it will also be an opportunity for you to finish him off...

Because he definitely returned to his form as a human, before he could change shape into his preferred animal" Beta continued.

"How do I make a leadership shift? Do I just have to fight brutally?" ask Marco.

"No. More precisely it was said to be a fair match," Beta replied.

"When you challenge a substitute Alpha, you will definitely be asked to choose your form first, before he chooses a form against you" Beta replied.

"Is it possible that we change shape into a dragon?" ask Marco curiously.

Beta turned to the side, looked at Marco, and looked at him fixedly.

"You must be kidding me. The dragon is just a mythical animal, none of the shapeshifters can change shape into a mythical animal" Beta replied.
