SHAPESHIFTERS

SHAPESHIFTERS
The Part 90

The return trip to Bridget this time was much better.

Beta, Gamma and Delta though still experiencing motion sickness, but not to take their lunch out of their respective hulls.

Marco did set the speed of his car, so that his passengers did not feel too shaken.

In fact, Marco gave more opportunities to stop for rest, when the three shapeshifters in the back seat looked as if they could not resist the dizziness.

But, because of that, their journey took much longer, until they had just arrived at Marco's house, when the sun had long since sunk.

At Marco's house, Seba and Adaline are busy providing warm drinks for Marco, Bella, Beta, Gamma and Delta, as Marco refuses to have dinner soon.

Bella does not want to linger outside, and chooses to lie down in the room, and Marco briefly accompanies her, before Marco comes back out and sits alone on his porch.

As usual, Beta, Gamma and Delta would follow wherever Marco was (aside from Marco's private room and Bella), carrying their own glasses of drink, and sit with Marco there.

For a while they were there, they were silent, and even looked like they were daydreaming.

I don't know what Mommy Marco looks like...

That's what's going through Marco's mind right now.

How does that woman feel?

As a mother, her affection is usually much greater for her child.

Maybe Marco did not miss him too much, because Marco did not know him, but Marco still appreciated his sacrifice that gave birth to Marco.

Marco also could not blame the woman, even though he did not care for and raise Marco, for surely it was not his will, if it drew all the stories Marco heard.

According to the story of Nancy and Gamma, it is likely that Mommy Marco was deliberately locked up, so as not to go anywhere.

The surrogate alpha did not spend any time with his partner, and chose to visit, and lived in different parts of the castle.

What's wrong between Alpha and Mommy Marco?

Is it possible that Mommy Marco can't accept a replacement Alpha, and he still loves Daddy Marco?

It might be the case, so that the replacement Alpha can not always be with Mommy Marco, because Mommy Marco may reject it.

But, still the way Alpha's replacement who locked Mommy Marco can not be justified, because it is tantamount to torturing the woman with love.

"Is it possible that your Mommy came from the oldest of the legends? So old, until their existence, only considered a myth," chirped Delta suddenly.

Marco's daydream suddenly collapsed, and with a sense of disbelief that his name was coincidental, Marco really did not expect that delta was also thinking the same thing with him.

About Mommy Marco.

"What are you talking about?" ask Marco.

"If not wrong, I've heard from Grandpa, about one of the people who only became a story of race to race...

And no one really ever met them. Or maybe they've met, but don't realize it" Delta replied.

"They are the strongest and the loners. The Elves." continued Delta.

"What do you know about this people?" ask Marco.

"Nobody really knows the truth." replied Delta.

"Then, it's useless for you to bring it up," said Marco cynically.

"Then you want me to tell you something that's just a guess, and not necessarily the truth?" ask Delta.

"It's up to you." replied Marco curiously.

"If I told you about it, would you laugh at me?" ask Delta.

"No. Think of it as listening to a fairy tale, before I go to sleep tonight" Marco replied.

"Hmmm... Alrighty!

It is said that the Elves were the strongest people on earth...

They split in two. Winged fairies that live on land, and tailed Elves that live in the ocean, or what is usually called Mermaid." Delta said.

Within a hundred years of the life of one fairy, not necessarily a new fairy could be born. That's why they're not many...

Their homes are also very hidden. Until it won't be that easy to meet them." continued Delta, then sip a little drink from his cup.

"Then how can there be a story about them?" ask Marco.

"Just like an ordinary human being who tells about the existence of other creatures. About them, also just a hereditary story...

But, not necessarily if it's just a fairy tale, is it?" delta.

"It could have been if in ancient times, someone had met them.." continued Delta.

"Maybe.." chirped Gamma.

"In addition to what you said earlier, is there another story about them?" marco asked curiously.

"The Elves, both of whose lives are on land and in the sea, are equally cruel...

For the sake of his survival, they did not hesitate to torture and even kill anyone who dared to interfere...

With their high-pitched voices, it can mess with the minds of all the animate beings who hear it, to the point of going crazy." Delta replied.

From the moment, it seems that there is still something to be told Delta, but like something that makes him suddenly just silent, for some time.

"Hey! Continue your story!" said Beta who seemed, as impatient as Marco and Gamma.

"Wait first! I remembered something." said Delta who seemed to furrow her brows.

Delta then fell silent again, until Marco, Beta and Gamma stared.

"What's wrong?" ask Beta.

"ah! You just interrupt!" delta ketus.

"Ckckl... I forgot, what had crossed my head earlier," continued Delta, shaking her head.

"That's why! You must be making it up, right?! Therefore, you are confused to continue your story," said Gamma.

"Hey! Goddamn bum! You think I'm a liar?" delta said with a raised voice.

"Come, we both go to my Grandpa, if you don't believe my words!" delta looked very upset.

Gamma looked unconcerned with Delta's annoyance, and only smiled to himself, while leaning casually on Marco's porch.

"What are you thinking?" ask Marco slowly.

"I tried to relate, about the Elves and the state of Apha's surrogate, as well as what happened in the castle... But, I don't think it's a good fit." replied Delta.

"What can be connected?" ask Marco again.

"Maybe not? If Alpha's real replacement was affected by your Mommy?" ask Delta.

"What do you mean?" Marco asked again in confusion.

"Givers can affect the mind... But, it's strange, if indeed he messed with the replacement Alpha... Then why can the elves even be locked up?" delta.

Delta's words, sounding chaotic to Marco, were as if Delta was also perplexed explaining what he was thinking.

Marco looked at Beta and Gamma, hoping that they could help explain what Delta meant.

But apparently, Gamma and Beta were just as confused, so they seemed to furrow their eyebrows, staring at Delta.

"What are you talking about? I don't understand the direction of your conversation at all" Marco said.

"Look... What possible? Alpha surrogates, already not mastering his own mind, but already in the influence of Elves...

Then...

Uh! No. gabe... It doesn't fit!" delta.

Marco took a deep breath, and exhaled it violently.

"Well, you think about what you want to say. So that I can understand" said Marco.
