The Part 46
After finishing his breakfast, Flints returns to the shapeshifter settlement, to invite members of the Sums family to Marco's house.
Marco, who had put all the cattle in the back of his car, took them to a fresh grocer, with Bella.
"Flints looks weird!" chirps Bella, when Marco was just driving his car slowly, out of the yard.
"Why do Flints seem so interested in just looking at farm animals?" ask Bella later.
"He has never been that close to a real animal" Marco replied.
"Why indeed?" ask Bella.
"The shapeshifter can't be anywhere near the original animal. But, since I touched the Flints earlier, he was finally able to get close to the original animals, without making the animals afraid" Marco replied.
"Hmmm... Whatchu mean?" bella asked, looking confused.
"One of Alpha's abilities, which he says are ancestral, Alpha can reconcile between shapeshifters and native animals" Marco said.
"So you're saying, Flints knows you're an Alpha? And you have such an ability?" ask Bella curious.
"Yes. I've admitted it" replied Marco.
"But I told him that I can't take back Alpha from Alpha" Marco continued.
Marco thought hard, staring at the streets.
Did he have to tell Bella about what Flints said to her?
Maybe Bella can help brainstorm, and give her opinion to Marco.
But most likely, it could also make Bella so worried.
Because Marco was too preoccupied with his own thoughts, Marco missed the fresh grocer's place, which he was supposed to stop by.
"Darling... What about your cattle?" ask Bella.
Marco finally regained his senses, then at once also slowed his car to a halt, and turned the wheel, leading back to where the merchant had missed.
It seems that Bella is aware that there is something Marco is thinking about, but she may still refrain from asking.
Until all the livestock was taken down, and the bottles used milk, along with the egg box had been loaded back into the car tub, Bella was still silent even though she was still stealing the sight of Marco.
When they arrived at Bella's cake shop, Bella finally opened her voice, to ask.
"Darling... You promised to open up to me, didn't you? If anything disturbs your mind you'll tell me" said Bella, walking with Marco, in the shop that was almost finished.
"What are you thinking right now? Let me hear it. Don't keep it to yourself...!" continued Bella.
Marco stared intently at Bella, thinking what she should tell him about it all.
Bella stopped walking, stood face to face with Marco, and held both sides of Marco's waist, with both hands.
"Don't hide my secrets!" bella said, raising her head, in order to see Marco's eyes clearly.
Marco is confused as to where to start to tell Bella, without making the woman worry.
"If you keep quiet like this, you just make me feel anxious, because I don't know what's really going on" Bella said.
Marco then hugged Bella tightly, then whispered,
"We'll talk in the car...!"
Bella nods her head, and walks with Marco to the parked car outside.
"According to Flints, I need to quickly remove Alpha as a replacement from his current leadership." said Marco.
"If I keep procrastinating, the substitute Alpha will get stronger, then it can fight me...
He will try to get rid of me and my family forever, so that he can hold absolute power" Marco continued.
"I'm sorry... Really forgive me... I have brought you into my troubles" said Marco solemnly.
"Stop! Don't say it like that!" snapped Bella.
"So you're saying, even if you don't want to fight him, he'll still be looking for you?" ask Bella.
"Yes. Most likely it is like that" replied Marco.
"If you continue to avoid him, chances are you can't fight him anymore? Because he's getting stronger. That so?" ask Bella.
"Yes" answered Marco.
Bella looked like she was thinking hard, and I don't know what she's thinking right now.
The woman was silent for a long time, and just stared straight ahead, without even turning aside, to look at Marco.
"We're back home now! I have to prepare a cake to fill in my shop tomorrow, and you promised to make Pies for my cake shop, too" Bella said.
Marco then started his car, and drove back to his house.
Along the way, until the two of them arrive at Marco's house, Bella still says nothing, and just breezes into the house, without waiting for Marco to open the door for her.
Marco doesn't want to force Bella to talk, and only does what she has to do.
Starting from lowering items from the back of his car tub, to cleaning all used milk bottles.
After all was done by Marco, then he followed Bella into the house, and prepared the ingredients for the pie that will be filler in the cake shop owned by Bella.
Although they were both in one room, and occasionally almost collided, Bella seemed to lock her mouth tightly.
After Marco finished preparing the raw pie, and just put some of it in the refrigerator, Marco heard that someone was knocking on his door.
As Marco walked out and opened the door, a member of the Sums family was standing on his porch.
Marco then allowed them all to enter.
"Please enter!" bring Marco.
"We had a hard time finding a ride to come here" Flints said, walking in with another member of the Sums family.
"Why not just change shape?" ask Marco.
"We don't want to bother you, prepare a change of clothes for us to wear" Seba said.
Marco nodded his head.
"Hmmm... I'll just stay a minute, okay?! There's something I still have to do for a little while" Marco said, then continued to go into the kitchen, leaving the Sums family in the guest room.
Marco then continued to put the rest of the raw pies into the refrigerator.
"Darling! There's the Sums, who come to visit us" Marco told Bella.
"What are you guys gonna do?" bella asked, with a flat face.
"If according to Flints earlier, his family also wanted to be like him... You can get close to the real animals" replied Marco.
"Hmmm... Well then, it can still be delayed," Bella said.
"Take them in here. There's something I want to ask them" continued Bella, without taking her eyes off the cake batter, which she was making.
"Yes," Marco answered briefly, then returned to the guest room, meeting the Sums family waiting for him there.
"Hmmm... Can you come with me? Bella wants to talk to all of you, but she's still busy making cookies" Marco said.
"Of course," said Flints and Seba, almost simultaneously.
