SHAPESHIFTERS

SHAPESHIFTERS
Part 9's

By flying low, not too far from the surface of the river water, Marco still saw the movements of the people down there.

Marco did not want to leave the place, and just flew around and around above them.

At first glance, Marco saw a subtle movement that caught his attention.

In accordance with his instincts as an eagle that he is now imitating, wriggling movements crept softly near the tent provoking Marco's curiosity.

The king cobra is large, winding slowly towards people who are busy joking near the campfire.

Apparently, something bad is going to happen right now.

That's right Marco's guess.

One of the young men accidentally stepped on the body of the cobra snake, and made the slithering beast open its hood wide, and without waiting for a long time pecked at the foot of the man who stepped on it.

Mass panic occurred at that time.

Shouts for the sake of hysterical cries, instantly echoed within the forest.

Not stopping there, the king cobra seemed ready to strike with its venomous bite again.

Without waiting any longer with lingering thoughts, Marco flew down a dive closer to the ground, and grabbed the snake with his claws, and carried it away away from there.

The commotion that occurred in that place, not caring about Marco who kept rushing away, carrying cobra snake that was in his grip, then dropped it in the middle of the forest far from the location of the people were camping.

Marco flew closer to the young men, and watched them from the air.

Someone who was pecked by the cobra snake earlier, seemed to be lying on the ground.

While the other friends, looking very panicked, some were crying, some seemed to try to give first aid by tying the legs of his friend, he said, and there are also those who appear busy with cell phones as if they are contacting someone.

If the person who was bitten by the cobra snake was not quickly taken out of the forest, and got help in the hospital, then most likely, the person would die.

Marco racked his brain.

How could he help that man?

Even though Marco did not know the man and his friends, Marco still felt heartless, if only to let the man die for granted.

Marco flew low until he finally touched the ground, a place not too far away from those people.

After returning to being human, Marco again transformed into a horse, and ran closer to the edge of the river.

The look of the people there who looked astonished, did not become an obstacle for Marco to walk closer and closer, and acted like a tame horse.

It was as if he understood Marco's purpose and purpose there, or maybe just came up with an idea spontaneously, one of the people, then shouted loudly, while approaching Marco by extending his hand slowly, until it hits Marco's head.

"Quick! Get him on this horse!"

Several young men raised his wounded friend and appeared to have fainted on Marco's back, and the man holding his head climbed on Marco's back.

"Please our friend! Be a good horse!" the man said, then smacked his legs into Marco's stomach.

Marco ran while carrying two people on his back.

It's not easy for Marco.

Although he is currently in the form of a large horse, when carrying the burden of two adult humans, making Marco's legs hurt.

Moreover, with the uphill road, to get out of the forest and be able to reach the highway, is really tiring.

Marco's energy was completely drained, and he was finally unable to run any longer.

By stepping his legs as if he was walking normally, Marco made a determination to save the man.

Some paramedics, who jumped down from the ambulance, pulled down the fainted man from Marco's back, and carried him into the ambulance.

While his friend, stroking Marco's head, while thanking him.

"God has sent us an angel of salvation! Thank you very much! You're a good horse!"

Marco's head was kissed, before the man went to accompany his colleague in the ambulance.

Marco then walked away from it, and went back into the forest.

The sound of siren ambulances sounding further away, and disappear from hearing.

After convincing himself that no one saw him, Marco, who had been in the place where he had kept the bag containing his clothes, returned to being human and put on his clothes again.

Marco was no longer able to walk out of the forest.

After flying for a long time, then forcing himself to run up the hill, while carrying such a heavy load, his strength was completely drained.

Marco did not carry even the slightest drink of water in his backpack, with his thirst insatiable, Marco felt weak.

Breathing heavily, and as if the oxygen he was breathing, was unable to reach his lungs, Marco felt that at this moment, he might fall unconscious.

Marco forced himself to stand up, and while holding on to the tree trunk, Marco walked slowly, intending to go home.

Several times Marco slipped, because of the slippery land he passed.

But Marco did not give up.

There's no way he's sleeping in the woods.

Marco would have died silly there, if he couldn't drink.

With extra effort, Marco was finally able to reach the highway, and put in his best effort with the rest of his breath and energy, reaching his car parked by the side of the road.

One large bottle of drinking water, which was in the car, became Marco's savior, and without lingering again, he was swallowed up in one drink.

Marco drove his car, drove away from the woods, and headed home.

All this time, only this time could his ability to change form be useful, and save one's soul.

Also the gratitude that the person said earlier, seems really sincere to Marco.

But, something still stuck in his heart.

What will these people think later?

An eagle suddenly grabbed the cobra snake, then a horse suddenly came and became a ride.

It would feel strange to all of them.

If they could all assume that it was just a coincidence, and as if it were a miracle from God, Marco would be fine.

Let God alone receive praise, as long as no one will suspect, and tout about man, who can be transformed into an animal.

Nonetheless, Marco did not regret the reckless actions he had taken earlier.

Anyone, and anything, was worth saving, as much as he could.

His old car that drove casually in the middle of the road, has now entered the urban area.

Marco will rest for a while, before he goes to the convent, and meets Sister Martha.
