Soul Pain

Soul Pain
Chapter 25

Of course I still remember. Aunty Ningsih, right, Mama Kak Abi. Come sit down, Aunt.”

They sat on the sofa facing each other.

“How are you, Auntie? How come you're not here?”

“My news is good, I accidentally stopped by because there happened to be an event near here.”

Larisa had tried to be friendly but the look on Ningsing's face seemed to show that she did not like Larisa.

“Kak Abi is working again, soon he comes home,” obviously Larisa glanced at the clock on the wall.

“How are you? Already healed?” Ningsing did ask about the mental condition of her daughter-in-law. But not because he cares. More curious, because of the words of Endra first who will ask Abi to divorce his daughter if it is healed.

“I feel much better now. If asked if it has healed or not, maybe Abi can answer it.”

Ningsih just nodded in understanding. He spread his gaze across the entire large villa.

“It's been nine months we moved, why, Auntie, just here?” ask Larisa politely.

“I'm busy taking care of patients at RSJ.” Just give Ningsing a short answer. He didn't want to talk much with Larisa.

Larisa hears the sound of her personal doctor's car entering the garage. “That's possible, Brother Abi came home.”

Ningsih smiled at a glance.

“La, Sister pul-ang.” Abi was shocked when he saw his mother sitting with his wife.

Larisa immediately approached the man. Take over her husband's white coat and bag and she shakes Abi's hand.

“How are you, Ma?” They hugged.

“Mama, fine.” Larisa realized Ningsih was so friendly to the son while to her, the woman looked upset.

“When, Mama, arrive in Bali?” abi asked sitting next to his wife.

“Burn. Mama's got business here so all of you stop by. Oh, can we talk together?”

The understanding Larisa immediately resigned from there. “I want to prepare dinner first.”

Abi who felt bad, gave a passionate smile to the wife.

“We'd better talk in the park.” Abi does not want Larisa to listen to the conversation she and her mother.

“What, Larisa has healed?” ask Ningsih.

“What if he's healed? Mama cares?”

“Not! Mama came here to make sure Larisa's healed.”

“Make what?”

“For you to divorce her. Mr. Endra used to say that his daughter was cured he would ask you to divorce Larisa.”

Abi shook his head as if in disbelief. “Pak Endra himself has kept his promise. He asked me to divorce Larisa, but I refused. So, now, Mama, no more excuses, right?”

“Larisa still do not know about your status? And you're also not sure if he's forgotten about his ex. So, you better divorce her now before it's too late.”

“Slow what, Ma?” Abi a little emotional. Her mother was truly selfish.

“You are aware that this marriage will not be happy.”

“Mah, now I'm happy! What, Mama see the look of sadness on my face? Even now I am enjoying the role of a husband, although Larisa is not yet aware of our relationship. She did all the wife's chores without me asking and explaining. What does that mean? His instincts are aware of that and I am sure Larisa must have forgotten her ex,” explained Abi.

“Bi, Mama has relented and followed your will. Now, Mama asked you to follow your will, Mama. Divorce her and find another woman who deserves to be your wife.” Ningsih was no less firm.

“Till any time I won't divorce Larisa. Sorry, Ma better, Mama's coming home. I don't want Larisa to worry about seeing us argue. Moreover, the attitude, Mama who is less friendly to him, I think he offended.”

Abi breathed a rough breath. “I will respect and appreciate, Mama if, Mama stands in the right place. For this matter it is clear, Mama is wrong and I have to defend my wife.”

Ningsing snorted cynically.

“Sorry once again, Mama better get home. If, Mama still wants me and Larisa to separate we should not have to meet,” press Abi.

“You heart! Prefer him over your own biological parents.”

“Nobody selected or selected here. There, Mama should be able to accept my wife.”

Ningsih quickly left from there. Talking to Abi is useless because what he says is always denied. Even Ningsih always lost because every word Abi said was true to make him run out of words to reply.

Abi covered his face with both hands. He was neutralizing the emotions that had risen because he was upset with the mother. Before meeting Larisa he must look fine so that the wife does not feel worried.

“Loh, really, Auntie has come home, Brother?” larisa asked when Abi reached her room.

“Mama, hurry. Already awaited with his friends.” Abi is lying.

“Kak?”

“Iya, darling?”

Larisa blushed in embarrassment until she lowered her head to hide her reddened face.

“No papa right, Brother call dear?”

The woman nodded slowly.

“You asked what was that?”

“Sister, same Aunt Ningsih is fine right? You guys don't fight anymore, do you?”

Abi smiled fakely, he approached Larisa who was choosing clothes for him in the closet. “No, just a small argument,” obviously Abi hugged his wife from behind.

They were long silent enjoying the embrace. Abi even buried his face in the neck of the wife. Larisa knew that this man was not doing well, so she let him find peace through her.

“Kak?”

“Hhmm .. “

“Mandi first, later resume again.”

Abi let go of that hug. “Still, yes, La. Allowed, Brother hug you.”

Larisa smiled and nodded.

\=\=\=\=\=

Since Ningsih's arrival Abi has been quieter. Larisa also understood he always accompanied the man if Abi wanted to tell a story.

“Pardon Mama's attitude, Sister was yes,” pinta Abi. They were sitting in the living room watching a movie on TV. Abi also put his head on the thigh of the itri.

“So, papa, I have no problem. Maybe he doesn't want me to hear your talk.”

“Not only that, forgive also his attitude that is ketus same you.”

“Oh it. Honestly, yes, my sister is confused why Aunt Ningsih behaves like that to me? Am I wrong with him?”

Abi stroked his wife's face and stared from below. “You have nothing wrong with Mama Ningsih. So, don't think about it, yeah.”

Larisa nodded while stroking Abi's black hair.

The man then buried his face in Larisa's stomach. “Hhhhaaahhh .. It feels like, I want to sleep while I hug you. Let her spirit return again tomorrow morning.”

Larisa was silent.
