Meanwhile, in a modest house located in a remote village, Lalita was sitting with an uncertain feeling. In front of him, there appeared an old woman in her seventy years, a woman who was none other than a former servant of the Arfan family. Lalita learns of the former servant from Hendro and tries to cross the island to find him, to find out the truth about his family.
Amirah, that's the name of the former maid. According to Hendro, Amirah used to be a confidant of the Baskara family, who had even worked since Arfan was a teenager. Of course he was a living witness to what happened in the family, so Hendro also advised Lalita to look for Amirah if you want to ask in detail about the Baskara family.
And here's Lalita now. The young woman came and sat before Amirah expectantly. Previously, he had introduced himself to the old woman and conveyed the purpose of her arrival. It's just that, it's been ten minutes, but Amirah is still silent while showing an unpredictable facial expression.
"Mrs Dinara …." The old woman finally opened her mouth as well.
Lalita slightly knitted her eyebrows together, not knowing who Amirah had just called.
"Miss Lita is really similar to him" Amirah continued.
"Who is Mrs Dinara?" ask Lalita.
Amirah did not answer. His eyes looked towards Lalita with a look of sadness.
"Miss Dinara is Miss Lita's mother" said Amirah then with a voice that sounded slightly vibrating.
Lalita seems to be getting more and more clueless.
"My mother's name is Riani, not Dinara." Lalita trammates the word Amirah.
"Riani is just a fake mother who deliberately presented Mr. Arfan to Miss, so that Miss does not continue to cry sad because of the loss of Mrs Dinara," said Amirah.
"What?" Lalita clearly did not believe what Amirah said just now.
Amirah seemed to sigh, before then getting up and leaving Lalita who looked increasingly confused.
Shortly after, Amirah returned with an old photo album that she approached with all her feelings. The woman shook her body again in the chair she was sitting on, then offered the photo album she brought to Lalita.
"What's this?" lalita asked with a little stammering.
"This is the only memory of Mrs Dinara that I managed to hide. All of Mrs Dinara's other relics have been destroyed by Mr. Arfan, since he brought Riani and her daughter home." Amirah explained.
Lalita's eyes seemed slightly widened. He really couldn't understand what Amirah said just now. Does that mean Riani and Larisa are not her mother and sister?
"Take it and look at it, Miss," asked Amirah as she once again thrust the photo album in her hand.
Lalita's chest suddenly rippled violently. True to what Amirah said earlier, the woman looks like a reflection of herself in the mirror. The only difference is a mole at the end of the woman's eye. All this time he always felt if his face was like Riani, but apparently there were more who looked similar to him. Then does that mean it is true if the figure named Dinara is his biological mother?
Page after page of the photo album Lalita continued to see, until later, Lalita's hand stopped for a moment when she reached the last page, where there was a photo of Arfan, where there was a photo of Arfan, Dinara and a girl about two years old. The daughter that Lalita was very sure if it was her.
"The photo is the last photo before Mrs Dinara died, precisely taken the day before the Lady had an accident" said Amirah.
Lalita gasps. Suddenly his body felt extremely trembling. A strange feeling began to creep into his heart, making him feel an emotion he had never felt before. Like there is a longing that cannot be explained by words. A longing that comes out of nowhere and doesn't know who to aim at.
"Is she really my birth mother?" lalita asked then in a slightly restrained voice. His fingers stretched out and touched the photo of the woman named Dinara with all the feelings that exist. He wanted to deny it, but his feelings felt a newness that could not be described with words, like a person who rediscovered something most valuable in his life.
"She is Miss's birth mother. The figure whose presence has been deliberately removed by Mr. Arfan because he does not want Miss to grow by sharing wounds due to loss" said Amirah.
Lalita lifted her face and looked towards Amirah with a difficult to pin down look. There was a sense of tightness now lodged in his chest that made him feel difficulty just to sigh. Simultaneously, Lalita's gaze also began to blur because of the tears that began to spread and were ready to fall at any time.
"What does that mean? I really do not understand, it is on the basis of what Papa to do so far. If my real mother is dead, then why did Papa hide the truth and acknowledge others as my mother?" Lalita asked in a voice that started to sound hoarse as it held back the cries.
"I've said, Mr. Arfan does not want Miss to grow up with prolonged injuries, because Miss's condition when left by Mrs Dinara is really very alarming." Amirah also replied while trying to control himself as much as possible.
"Miss has never once descended from Mrs Dinara's arms since she was born, but that day, somehow the Madam went out alone shortly after putting Ms. Dinara to bed. We all did not expect that day Mrs Dinara would have an accident and leave for good" Amirah added.
Lalita's chest felt increasingly tight and her breathing also began to sting, as if she was trying to withstand an almost unbearable explosion.
"Miss continued to cry without anyone being able to calm down. Unwilling to eat, unwilling to drink milk, to the point that Miss is unconscious due to dehydration and fatigue. Mr. Arfan is almost crazy thinking about Miss. Every time she woke up, she just screamed for mama-mama. Miss then came back crying until she lost her voice. As it continued every day, until later, Mr. Afran came home with a woman whose face resembled that of Mrs Dinara."
Amirah sighed for a moment, then just opened her mouth again.
"Mr Arfan asked the woman to wear the clothes of Mrs Dinara and dress up like Mrs Dinara, even wearing a perfume commonly worn by Mrs Dinara. Upon seeing her, Miss directly got off the bed and limped over to the woman. She hugged him and called him Mama. Miss ...." Amirah was unable to continue her crying words as soon as it broke.
Along with that, Lalita's tears also fell unbearably. He sobbed softly while holding onto his chest which currently felt so painful.
