The Broken Ring's

The Broken Ring's
Not a Fake Family

Larisa closed her eyes and began to press the knife that was attached to her wrist. He knew what he was doing was wrong, but he no longer had the courage to look at tomorrow. So this is the path he chose. He was sure that everyone would be fine even though he would definitely feel sad at first.

"Sister Risa!"

A screech made Larisa's eyes open again. He automatically stopped his action for a moment, then turned his head towards the source of the sound. Lalita stood in the doorway of the room with sharp eyes.

"What did Brother do?" ask Lalita in shock. He had just arrived from Singapore and rushed to the hospital where Larisa was being treated after taking Arfan home. But it was unexpected, this sight that he saw.

"Li ... ta ...?" Larisa muttered somewhat stammered. The look on his face was empty and like a dazed person. He was still holding the knife he had just wanted to use to end his own life.

Lalita rushed over to Larisa still with a panicked expression. He took the knife from Larisa's hand and threw it in any direction. Then with his stomach growing bigger, he sat down in front of Larisa's wheelchair while looking up and looking at Larisa with an immeasurably sad look.

"What did Brother do?" ask Lalita again while holding Larisa's hands. The young woman's cry broke out at once imagining a terrible thing that almost happened if she was a little late.

"What's on my mind? Why is Brother short-minded like this? Why, Brother?" lalita in between her cries.

Larisa did not answer. He speaks a thousand languages with a sadness that cannot be hidden.

"My answer, why is Brother doing this? Didn't you think about Mama?" Lalita asked emotionally.

"What's this about? Oh, Lita. You're here?" Riani who just came out of the toilet looked a little confused. Earlier he heard someone's shrieking. He hastily finished his business in the toilet to check what happened.

Both Lalita and Larisa, neither of them answered Riani's question. Lalita was still crying in front of Larisa, while Larisa herself lowered her head while trying to hold back her stuffing.

"What's going on?" Once again Riani asked as she approached her two daughters. His eyes instantly widened when he saw Larisa's wrists being scratched and bleeding. Simultaneously, he also saw the blade that Lalita had previously thrown. The knife that looked slightly smeared with blood.

"Rise!" Instantly Riani was also suffocating as she realized something. The middle-aged woman also directly rushed towards Larisa and hugged her daughter tightly.

"What are you doing, Risa? You want to end your own life, huh?" riani asked with tears falling unbearably.

Again, just a sobbing that Larisa gave in response.

"You want to leave Mama, Risa? Say it! You're thinking of leaving Mama?"

"Sorry ...." Only that speech then came out of Larisa's lips. The crying became more. All the emotions and pain that he had been trying to suppress, now burst onto the surface to make his chest feel tight.

"I'm sorry Mama, son. Mama has demanded so much from you that she does not understand your heart. Mama just wants you to live without any shortcomings, but instead Mama made me become like this. Forgive Mama, Risa .... " Riani sniffled while rubbing Larisa's head.

Larisa. "Mama's not wrong, I'm wrong ...."

"Don't do this again. Don't even think of leaving Mama again, Risa. How can you live if you leave Mama?" Riani broke her embrace and encapsulated Larisa's face with both hands. His heart ached again to find how dim the look of Larisa's eyes at this time. Highlight the eyes that imply if the owner already feels very tired.

"Ma." Lalita touched Riani's shoulder, until the middle-aged woman turned her head.

"I'll call the doctor. The wound on Risa's wrist should be treated immediately" he said.

Riani nodded. He got up and wiped away his tears, and led Larisa to lie down on the bed. There was no fight from Larisa. He seemed resigned after the action to end his own life had failed.

Shortly after, a doctor and a nurse came to check on Larisa. A scratch on Larisa's wrist was treated. Seeing Larisa's unstable mental condition, the doctor also referred Larisa to conduct counseling. That same day, a psychologist was brought in to remember the condition of Larisa's body that did not allow her out of her treatment room.

"Miss Larisa's mental condition is very unstable, ma'am. It seems like all this time he was used to harboring all the burdens in his life alone and was not used to sharing them with others, even with those closest to him. Right now, Miss Larisa has already reached the limit of her ability to withstand all that. Mentally exhausted. And judging from her medical history, Miss Larisa had previously been in psychiatric treatment for panic disorder. All we can do to make her recover is to not make Miss Larisa even more depressed. His mind must be rested from the heavy and need a relaxed atmosphere." The psychologist explained Larisa's condition after a counseling session.

Riani could only sigh without being able to say anything. The deeper his regrets and guilt went to his daughter. Lalita who listened to what was said by the psychologist was also no less sad. It's really regrettable that everything went like this. If only he had been more sensitive to his brother. If Larisa were more open and related to her relationship with Erick, Lalita would definitely never appear as a barrier for both despite having to sacrifice a bit of feelings. Suppose ....

Ah, there's no point in wondering. Everything has already happened. Maybe the situation is already very messy, but it is still not too late to fix everything.

"Miss Larisa is very bad and desperately needs the support of the people closest to her. I hope his family can be a comfortable place for him to share the burden that he has been alone," explained the psychologist again before then resigned.

"family?" Riani muttered softly with a sad face. Indeed, he only realized that the fake family he built with Arfan turned out to be a deadly poison for their children. This adds to his long list of regrets.

Lalita herself went first and met Larisa who was now resting in her room. No matter what kind of relationship his mother and father had and what agreement they had made, for him the family he had was not a fake family. The loving mother and sister who were always there for him and always listened to the insignificant babble from his mouth, how could he consider it all fake. Although there was no blood tie, but they had been through a lot together. So many beautiful memories are stored in the memory of Lalita with her mother and sister. Of course they are his family.

With a slow step, Lalita also approached Larisa who looked dumbstruck, whether she was thinking about what. He sat down on the edge of the gurney, facing Larisa.

"Nr ...." Lalita touches the back of Larisa's hand.

Larisa turned her head, then smiled faintly. A smile that implied how great the girl's effort was to look fine

Lalita clasped Larisa's hand with both hands. He will no longer shy away from his brother. Whatever happens between her, Larisa and Erick, will not change the reality if she and Larisa are brothers. He will not forget how Larisa's hand has always stroked him every time he cried or sulked because of trivial things.

"Don't be sad, brother. Brother is not alone. There I am here ...," said Lalita while trying to smile as well.

"Sister has always been by my side whenever I feel sad. Brother always comforted me and made me forget my sorrow. Now let me do that for Brother."

Larisa's tears fell unbearably. The embrace of Lalita was tightly, reciprocated equally tightly by Lalita.

"I'm sorry, Lita. I'm not a good brother ...." Larisa sniffles in Lalita's arms. "I've often felt jealous of you. Sometimes I don't even really think of you as a sister. I'm so petty that I still like to think bad about you. Maybe because of that, now I'm being punished ...."

"No, Brother. Brother is like that. Sometimes laugh together, sometimes argue with each other. Sometimes we fight and dislike each other. But after all, brothers are still brothers. If it were not for the blood ties, it would be because of the bonds of affection. Hate, but you still love your other brother." Lalita.

Of course Lalita's words made Larisa sobbing and hugged her sister more tightly.
