"Sister, could you please, no?" ask Lalita then to Larisa.
"What?"
"Please tell Erick to handle the party until it's over. My body suddenly felt worse. I just want to rest at home" said Lalita.
"Would you like to go home?" larisa was a little surprised.
"Yes. I'm not comfortable resting here, want to sleep in my room immediately" said Lalita.
"Gosh, Lita. Can you go home and sleep comfortably in your room? Your wedding anniversary party has just begun. Many are asking for your whereabouts. What do people say later if they know you're coming home first." Larisa is back to grumbling.
"I really need a break, brother. Please tell Erick. Usually he will immediately accept, right, if Brother tells," said Lalita again.
Larisa was silent for a moment, feeling that something was different from Lalita's current tone.
"What do you mean say that? He is your husband" Larisa said. He did not know if on the other end of the phone at this time, Lalita again smiled wryly for the next time.
"Just tell Erick. Tell me I can't go back to the party and go straight home. I'll call Mama and Papa later, too" Lalita broke up.
"You're really, yeah. The busy day itself prepares the party until it does not remember eating. Now it's not even spirit," Larisa's nag.
"Sorry to trouble Brother," said Lalita before finally disconnecting her brother's phone call.
Larisa called back, but Lalita ignored her. He instead typed in a message telling her he couldn't go back to the party, and sent the message to her mom and dad.
After that, Lalita moved from the bed. He put his cell phone back in the handbag he was carrying, then left the hotel room just like that. Very carefully, he sneaked into the hotel lobby so as not to cross paths with people he knew. After that, he ordered a taxi online.
Not long after, a taxi ordered by Lalita arrived. The woman eventually left the hotel and headed to her home. Along the way, he occasionally sighed deeply, trying to dampen the rumbling in his chest that had not been willing to die down.
Who would have thought, Lalita would leave the party she had prepared herself wholeheartedly. The party that was originally filled with happiness, but turned into a very sick. It is certain after this Lalita will be traumatized by the name of the wedding anniversary. The pain will certainly continue to haunt every time the woman intersects with every thing related to the anniversary.
Lalita finally arrived home after traveling for a while. Soon she entered the house that for two years had been her residence with Erick. A house given by Arfan as their wedding gift.
For a moment Lalita stood in the hall of the house. Only then did he realize that the atmosphere of the house was so quiet and empty. Whether all this time his mind is too positive or his self is too blinded by love, he may feel happy living a household life that can not be called warm. Ah, it's true what people say if it's too much love that makes someone stupid.
Rushing Lalita up to the second floor and into her room. She instantly replaced the party dress she was wearing at the moment with a more comfortable outfit. After that, Lalita sat in front of the dresser, removing the makeup attached to her face while again drowning in sadness as if to swallow it round and round.
Brak! The door to Lalita's room suddenly opened violently, making the woman turn her head while showing a surprised look. A male figure stood in the doorway while looking at Lalita with giddiness. Who else if not Erick
Lalita was stunned for a moment. Compared to responding to Erick's current angry expression, he was more curious as to why the man could be here as well. Did Erick catch up with him after Larisa told him about his return?
"Why are you here?" ask Lalita.
"Why am I here?" Erick repeated his wife's question.
"I mean, you should still be at the party now." Lalita murmuring.
"You're the one who insisted on having that fancy party. You should have been there, not me. You can just leave the party for reasons not feeling well and need a break. Do you think all the things in the world you can think of as toys?" asked Erick sharply.
Lalita did not answer. He just stared at Erick with his mouth locked. The look on his eyes looked so sad and full of wounds, but of course it was not something Erick needed to worry about.
After two years of marriage, this is the first time Erick has spoken to Lalita. But unfortunately, the words spoken by the man were not soft soothing remarks, but rather a sharp innuendo that was so piercing in the heart. Words that make Lalita more sure if there was never love for her all this time.
"I was suddenly not feeling well, so I went straight home" said Lalita finally in a flat tone.
"By making your parents panic and thinking no-no?" ask Erick again.
Lalita did not answer. He stared at once again the face of Erick who currently clearly looked very angry. There was no worry that Lalita saw, and there was even an annoyed expression. The man's eyes even showed a look of hatred that Lalita had never realized before.
"Are you angry because I left the party or because Mama and Papa forced you to follow me here?" Lalita then asked a sarcastic question.
This time Erick was silent.
"I told you that I'm suddenly not feeling well, but you don't seem to worry about me in the least. Do you think I took the trouble to prepare for a party just to leave it alone, Erick?" ask Lalita again.
Erick did not answer. Only his eyes were still straight looking towards Lalita.
"If I leave, it means something's happening to me and I'm not okay. But you really don't want to know." Lalita thinned her lips and smiled bitterly.
"I know there are many things that make you dissatisfied with me. But I really didn't expect that you didn't care for me one bit, Erick," said Lalita with eyes that were again condensing.
"Don't worry, this is the last time I'll trouble you. I promise I won't repeat it again. After this, it won't bother you anymore." Lalita got up from her seat, then passed by, leaving Erick still in his place.
