Long enough Larisa cried in Lalita's arms, spilling everything she was pending and making her chest tight. Never all this time Larisa did this, even though it was on her mother or on Erick who used to be her lover.
After a while, the girl's feelings became even more relieved. There was a kind of large stone lifted from his chest, making his breath feel much lighter than before.
"Thank you, Lita," Larisa said later as she broke her arms and wiped her tear-soaked face.
Lalita smiles. He inching poured water into a glass, then gave it to Larisa.
"Drink first, brother," he said gently.
Larisa was stunned for a moment, before finally receiving the glass that was thrust at her. He also downed the glass until the toilet.
"Thank you." Once again Larisa thanks you.
Again Lalita responded with a smile while taking over the glass in Larisa's hand to put it back on the nightstand.
"Did you feel much better now?" ask Lalita.
Larisa nodded. His current feeling already felt much better compared to before.
"From now on, whenever you feel uncomfortable, you can tell me. I will listen to Brother anytime," Lalita said again.
Larisa nodded again, though this time with some hesitation. I don't know if he can tell Lalita all the things like a real brother?
"Sister, we are brothers. Remember that always." Once again Lalita said while rubbing the back of Larisa's hand.
The silence followed for a while. It seems that Larisa still feels doubtful. Not because he doubted Lalita, but he was not sure if they could be actual brothers considering how Arfan had been arranging his functions for Lalita.
"Papa has now realized all his mistakes, to Brother and to Mama," muttered Lalita then broke the silence. It was as if he knew what Larisa was thinking right now.
"Yes?" Larisa immediately turned to look with a face of disbelief.
"Really, Brother. During treatment and therapy in Singapore. Papa has thought a lot about all the things he has done so far. Papa has also seen how Mama is so sincere about taking care of Papa, although previously Papa always had a bad prejudice against Mama. Papa regretted everything, especially when he heard of Brother's current condition." Lalita added again.
Larisa fell silent while lowering her gaze. He didn't know what to respond to Lalita's words. A stubborn Arfan who has a high ego, it seems you are hard to believe if the man feels guilty for what he has done.
"I'm not making up stories, brother. Now my mind is more open. Papa had really realized all his mistakes all along. Arriving at the airport, Papa wanted to come here to visit Brother, also to apologize directly to Brother and Mama, but the conditions were not possible. Papa still has a lot of rest, so I immediately take you home."
Larisa was still silent because she was still trying to digest what Lalita had just said. An information that seemed somewhat impossible happened, making it very difficult to believe.
"Nr ...." Lalita again clasped Larisa's hand, making Larisa look up again at her.
"Will Big Brother and Mama return home to us as before?" ask Lalita expectantly.
"Yes?"
"Me, Brother, Mama and Papa. We start all over again, living as a real family. A family that loves each other, fills each other up, comforts and strengthens each other ...."
This time Larisa is in peace. Really, what Lalita said just now was a picture of her childhood dream family. When he was first brought to the house of Arfan, of course he dreamed of living in a family like that. But reality slapped him. What Arfan expects from her and her mom is just a fake figure for Lalita. Then could it be that now they could become the family he dreamed of?
"Papa is really conscious, brother. Believe this. Maybe Big Brother needs to give Papa a chance to see for himself Papa's change." Lalita was reassured.
Lalita smiles. Larisa did not immediately reject her request, which means there is still a chance to unite their families again.
"Yes, it's okay. Just think about it right. I'll wait for Brother's answer" said Lalita still with a big smile.
Larisa also smiled back. His heart felt a little warm. I don't know if he'll be happy or not.
Meanwhile, without Larisa and Lalita realizing it, Riani had been listening to the conversation from behind the door of the room. Like Larisa, Riani does not believe what Lalita says about Arfan. It's not that accusing Lalita of lying, but that fact is a bit difficult to accept. Arfan realized if what he's been doing all this time is wrong? Did ya?
"Ma?" A voice ripped through Riani's head. He turned his head and found Erick already standing in front of him with a food bag in his hand.
Riani sighed. He's tired of being so tight with Erick. Even after being evicted several times, this man still came back.
Neither Erick nor Riani said anything, Lalita came out of the room. Of course he was a little surprised to see the presence of Erick, and vice versa.
"You came to see Risa's sister, right? Please go inside. Risa's sister is resting," said Lalita then after successfully neutralizing the look on her face.
"Ah, yes." Erick looks a little awkward.
"It's lunch time, Ma. We better get some food first." Lalita turned to Riani.
Riani agreed after a moment of silence. He knew that Lalita was going to make room for Erick and Larisa to talk. I don't want Riani to obey that.
"Come," Riani then took Lalita by the hand.
They then passed from before Erick without saying much.
Erick himself seemed stunned for a moment, before finally entering the room. Larisa was sitting while leaning over the gurney.
"Hi, Risa. How are you?" erick asked in pleasantries as Larisa turned her head towards him.
Larisa sighed for a moment.
"It's much better" Larisa replied later.
"I brought your favorite porridge. You haven't had lunch, have you?" erick asked again while showing the food bag in his hand. He tried to smile at Larisa.
"thank you. Just put it there. I'll eat." Larisa.
Erick's smile faded. He put the food he brought on the nightstand, as Larisa said, then sat down on the chair beside Larisa's gurney.
The atmosphere was silent for a while. Larisa appears to throw her gaze out the window, while Erick is seen composing words to convey something to Larisa.
After a while, Erick found the right opening sentence. However, just about to open her mouth, Larisa had already said something first.
"Go, Erick ... Don't come back ...."
