Requesting Explanation

Lalita sat on a park bench looking at the occasional passerby. His hand seemed to be holding a doble beef burger and biting it slowly. After the hospital, somehow he wanted to enjoy fast food. In fact, before Lalita not so fond of burgers, fries and various other junk food.

Lalita had heard that a baby in the womb could make her mother want something. Starting from the reasonable, even until something makes no sense. Usually, the father of the prospective baby will take pains to fulfill that desire. It doesn't matter if it's a difficult thing though.

Luckily, Lalita just wants to eat a burger, not anything else. Again he thinks if the prospective child in the womb is very understanding of the current situation and condition. It was impossible for Lalita to indulge in Erick by having the man obey all her wishes. After hearing the unexpected confession from Erick's mouth that night, Lalita became very self-conscious. Although he did not fully understand, but the fact that he had never loved her was enough to make him feel if he had to withdraw from the man.

Spoiled and shameless woman. Those words still continued to ring in Lalita's ears, making her chest feel like she was stabbed using a dagger. He really did not expect that Erick's assessment of him so far.

The taste of the burger doble beef that was previously very good on Lalita's tongue, now began to feel bland because of his worsening feelings. Breathing repeatedly, then closed his eyes for a moment. After that, then he went back to eating the burger until it ran out.

A bottle of mineral water that was swallowed until it was finished became a marker of the completion of Lalita lunch on the park bench. Then he got up and left the place. By using a taxi, Lalita went somewhere.

Lalita's goal is none other than the residence of her parents. At this hour, usually papa and his brother must be working, as well as Erick. There's only her mom at home. It was a good time to find out about Erick and Larisa's relationship through her mother.

On the eve of her wedding anniversary, Lalita also heard that it was her parents who arranged her marriage to Erick, assisted also by Larisa. Apparently Erick came to propose to him not on the man's own will, but on the pressure of others. Inwardly, Lalita was angry at being the only person who knew nothing here. He must know the truth. If you love Larisa, why would Erick marry her.

Lalita repeatedly let out a long breath. He had to calm down when he arrived at his parents' house in order to properly figure out every single thing he wanted to know.

"Who, Lita? How come you didn't tell Mama if you wanted to come?" Riani welcomed Lalita's arrival with pleasure, as well as wonder.

"Lita was having business near here, so all of you stopped by" said Lalita, smiling at her mother.

The two then entered the house and headed straight to the living room.

"Mama just finished lunch. Have you eaten?" ask Riani. "If not, let Mama ask Bi Ami to prepare lunch for you."

"Already, Ma. Before stopping here, Lita ate first, really." Lalita answered

"Oh, yes, I have. Mama asked to make juice then."

Lalita nodded, letting the mother command the servant in her parents' house to prepare her favorite fresh juice.

"Thank you, Bi Ami," said Lalita when Bi Ami served two glasses of mango juice and a plate of cookies. It was Lalita's favorite drink and snack when she was relaxing.

Lalita's feeling warmed up a little to see Rania still remembering what she liked. At the very least, he still had parents who loved him sincerely.

"Ma, I have something to ask you. But I hope, Mama answered him honestly," said Lalita then after Bi Ami returned to the back.

"You ask what? How serious it looks," said Rania while sipping her mango juice.

"Sister Risa and Erick were in a relationship before me and Erick got married, Mama knew that too, right?" ask Lalita at last.

It was obvious that Rania was surprised to hear that question. The middle-aged woman directly put the juice glass in her hand just like that.

"What did you say?" he still asked with his surprised look.

"Sister Risa and Erick, how deep was their relationship?" repeat Lalita again.

"What kind of question is Lita? Don't like ngaco? Where do you think your husband and brother were in a relationship?" Rania.

"Ma, please .. I asked you to be honest."

"Honestly what? You're making it up." Rania is back.

"Please don't make me the only fool who doesn't know anything, Ma. Just two years ago I felt happy alone, feeling my own perfect life, while the people I loved lived depressed and suffering." This time Lalita was begging.

Rania gasps. He didn't know what to respond to Lalita's words. Out of nowhere Lalita can find out about Erick and Larisa's past. Clearly, this was not a good thing for him.

"Mama doesn't know where you're hearing that shit from, but you better not listen too much to it, Lita," Rania said later.

"I heard it from Risa's sister and Erick himself" Lalita said.

"What?" Rania boughtak heard that.

"They are in a relationship and love each other. I'm pretty sure Mama knew that too. Then why did Erick propose to me instead of proposing to Risa? Why did you all make me think Erick liked me for so long?" Lalita is starting to look emotional.

"Why, Ma? Mama and Papa must have arranged everything, right?!"

Rania looked rather shocked. He really did not expect that the sudden arrival of Lalita today was to ask something that had been a secret for more than two years.

"Risa and Erick .. There's no way they're telling you that shit. It can't be …." Instead of answering Lalita's question, Rania muttered with a panicked face.

"I'm not lying. They said that and I heard it with my own two ears. Of course they didn't know that I was in that place. But that's not important anymore. The point is, now I know that you've all been lying to me. Actually I deserve to be angry, but I'm not gonna do that. I just want Mama to give me an explanation. Erick loves Risa, but why did she come to propose to me? Why?!"
