The Broken Ring's
Best Matchmaker

Lalita stood on the balcony of her room while looking up at the star-filled night sky. Her lips turned into a faint smile as she shook her head slowly. He felt funny himself if he remembered when Kalandra insisted on being a bride with someone he called Kak Shelin earlier. I don't know what was on that plain boy's mind. Whenever you like someone of a different kind, you say you want to marry that person.

Thankfully, the discussion could finally end with the advice of Lalita who asked Kalandra to rethink everything when she grew up. The boy agreed and finally fell asleep after exhaustion of arguing.

"Why smile for yourself?" ask Rainer.

Lalita was a little surprised to hear her husband's voice. He turned his head and found that Rainer had been standing next to him, but for a while Rainer was still in the room, busy working on something using his laptop.

"Bikin's in shock" lalita grumbled.

Rainer laughed for a moment while hugging Lalita from behind. After that, the atmosphere was silent for a moment.

"Have you smiled to yourself since you remembered Kalan's words?" ask Rainer again.

Lalita replied with a crisp laugh.

"The boy is just there. More and more, I like to be confused by his words. I often don't know what to answer" said Lalita.

"He was indeed an unexpected child" Rainer responded. "But at least, he liked his future papa partner. Good start, right?"

Lalita's speechless. She doesn't know if Shelin is Erick's future wife. If so, that's good news.

"really. A good start. But if he sulks when his Papa is actually married to Shelin. I think it'll be quite troublesome." Lalita replied after being silent for a while.

"No, honey. You don't remember that time he said he wanted to marry some girls in his Kindergarten? So that you can honeymoon crowded and exciting he said. Now he doesn't remember anymore, does he?"

"Yes, right. Hopefully his silly words this time are also quickly forgotten," said Lalita.

The atmosphere was silent for a moment. Rainer still faithfully hugged Lalita from behind, while Lalita held back Rainer's hand that was coiled on her stomach. A simple moment that makes Lalita's heart feel peaceful and warm.

"You know, honey. I never wanted to get married or have children. I thought that something like that would only shackle my freedom and make my life complicated. I really don't like anything that's troublesome." Rainer is back.

Lalita looked up and looked at her husband with a slight frown.

"really. I had thought that the world of marriage would be very boring and torturous. But when I got to know you and Kalan, my view of marriage changed. When I was with Kalan, I realized that being a father was amazing" Rainer said.

Lalita listened while looking back at the stars. Rainer's words sounded sweet, but he was confused as to what he should respond to them.

"It turns out that marriage is indeed something extraordinary. You can wake up every morning next to a loved one. You can share everything with him, even if it's just the little things. It all feels so amazing. You know, I proposed to you a long time ago" Rainer said.

Lalita just chuckled at hearing it.

"Do I want to?" tanyakanya.

"yes too. Although I realized it long ago, you are not necessarily willing to take my proposal for granted. Even now I sometimes feel that you are willing to marry me for the sake of khilaf." Rainer.

Once again Lalita looked up while linking her eyebrows together. "What do you mean?"

Rainer did not answer. He sighed for a moment before finally opening his mouth again.

"To be honest, I sometimes wonder for myself, how you really feel about me. I sometimes feel like you don't love me. But on the other hand, there is no reason for you to reject me, so you are willing to marry me." Rainer muttered in a lower tone than before.

"But it doesn't matter. I'm enough to love you. I will fulfill our marriage with love. If I'm persistent, maybe one day you'll have the same feelings as me, too" Rainer added, kissing a glimpse of Lalita's head.

The light of Rainer's words just now made Lalita freeze with her eyes slightly widened. She didn't think her husband would think that.

"Where do you think I don't have the same feelings for you?" ask Lalita.

Rainer was silent for a moment. In his heart he cursed his detached mouth, complaining about nothing to complain about.

"Sorry, Honey. I think I've been talking wrong. Forget it," he said then with a smile.

"No. Do not like to hold something that holds your heart, later it will become a time bomb that will explode and destroy everything. It's a bit unpleasant to hear, but I like it when you talk honestly about how you feel. Is it possible because of my attitude that is often indifferent to you, that you think that I do not have the same feelings as you?" ask Lalita.

Rainer did not answer. But that silence was enough to be Lalita's answer again. The woman really felt guilty. His hand was raised and touched Rainer's jaw gently.

"Sorry, because it makes you feel that way. But you misunderstood me, Rainer. How could I be willing to marry you if I didn't have the same feelings for you" Lalita said.

Rainer remained silent.

"You know I failed once. In my first marriage, I poured out all my feelings with exaggerated attitudes and actions. I made it clear that I love my husband very much. But my actions just backfire on me. My husband is sick of all that. I actually bear the hatred because it shows my feelings too much. Therefore, now I don't want to be too visible that I love you. I don't want to show it too clearly because I don't want you to also be fed up with me. I don't want to fail with you either, Rainer." Lalita finally revealed her heart as well.

Rainer's eyes seemed to be staring at Lalita clingy with an expression that was difficult to explain.

"It all happens because you show feelings to the wrong people, honey. If you show your love for the right person, the more passionate you show it, the happier the person will be. How could I feel sick when you do that, when I myself very often imagined it," Rainer said later.

Lalita returned Rainer's gaze while digesting the words her husband said. It was time to stop worrying about the shadows of the past. Rainer's not Erick. They were two different people, and to be sure, Rainer had expressed his feelings over and over again to countless numbers. Whether it is by words or actions. Then why is he still hesitant to show his feelings too?

Both Lalita's hands again stretched out to touch Rainer's face, then gave her a soft kiss on both cheeks of her husband.

"I love you too, Rain. Loves you so much. You are the best soul mate God has given me. And I'm so grateful to have you as my husband" Lalita said later, hugging Rainer tightly.

Rainer was stunned for a moment, as if he could not believe what he had just heard. A moment later, he regained his senses and returned Lalita's embrace equally tightly. His heart felt soaked as if there was a sudden rain fluttering, bringing an immeasurable coolness.

"So don't think again if I accept your proposal because of khilaf, okay?" lalita Pinta.

"okay." Rainer finally replied with a bright smile.

"But wait a minute." The man then broke his arms in remembrance of something. "Rain?"

"Why?" Lalita knitted her two eyebrows.

"So you called me Rain?" reset Rainer.

"Yes. You're always fussy about calling baby. From now on, let's just say it's my dear call to you."

Rainer seemed to show a dumb-ass expression.

"Why? You don't like it?" Lalita asked back.

Rainer was stunned again, before laughing happily.

"Hahaha .. Of course I like it, honey. No one had ever called me Rain. I think it's good too. You can't live without rain, right? You will be dry if there is no rain. Of course I like that call." Rainer.

Lalita shook her head to see Rainer's reaction. In his heart he was happy because he had straightened out the misunderstanding in the heart of the husband. She hoped that the man would be the last person to stop in her heart and would accompany her to old age.
