The Changing Atmosphere

The development of the relationship between Larisa and Zayn is quite rapid. The two families have even met officially and agreed to marry the two, although the date of the wedding is still not specified. Zayn himself personally told Riani and Arfan if he knew of Larisa's situation and accepted it. However, Zayn asked that his family not need to know it, as Larisa also did not tell her own family about Zidan.

Although not very understanding of Zayn's wishes, but Riani and Arfan agree as long as it will not put Larisa in a difficult position later. Zayn assured me it wouldn't happen. It seemed, he had his own plans to secure Larisa's position in his extended family.

The news of Larisa's wedding plans has even reached Erick's ears. It was none other than Kalandra's babble, which when confirmed to Lalita, apparently was true. Erick also felt happy, although of course it still felt like there was something stuck in his heart if he remembered about Larisa. It was none other than because he remembered Larisa's condition that was not perfect anymore. In Erick's heart wondered, would Larisa's husband-to-be and family really be able to accept the shortcomings that the girl had?

But whatever it is, Erick still hopes Larisa can soon get her happiness, like Lalita.

"Sir Erick, can I come in?" There was a voice asking for permission to enter from behind the door of Erick's study, after a knock earlier.

"Yes, please," said Erick.

The door opened and a young girl stepped into Erick's study while hugging some files. The girl is none other than Shelin, Erick's employee who is believed to hold the financial portion.

"What's wrong?" erick asked as he stared at the laptop screen, as if there was something he was doing. Later he did deliberately avoid eye contact with Shelin.

"This is the financial report this week, sir," Shelin said, handing over the dossier she was carrying.

"Yes, thank you. Later I check," said Erick as he received the file and put it down, without even a single glance at Shelin.

Shelin who was treated like that became a bit wrong made. He also looked down with an unpleasant feeling.

"Then, excuse me, sir," said Shelin, then resigned.

Erick agreed with indifference. Then after Shelin really came out of his study, the man looked up and exhaled violently. She did not know how to deal with Shelin after unconsciously crying on the shoulder of the girl on the day of Lalita's wedding.

"Haish." Once again Erick grumbled whenever he remembered his silliness that day. She was embarrassed, really embarrassed. Every time he faced Shelin, he felt like she was laughing at him. I don't think he has any face anymore.

"Sir Erick."

Almost Erick jumped up because he was surprised to hear the sound of Shelin calling back to him. His eyes immediately bought because he knew the girl had appeared again in front of him, but had already left.

"Sorry, Sir. I just want to get this back, "Shelin said, putting something on Erick's desk. A ring that Erick dropped the other day.

"I actually wanted to give it back from the beginning, but it seems Mr. Erick is not talking to me," added Shelin again.

This time Erick was a little stunned. Could it be that his attitude that always shied away from Shelin had been a bit late, so that the girl felt offended?

Again Erick let out a rough breath with a bit of annoyance. Because of his ridiculousness, he creates misunderstandings between himself and the employees he trusts the most.

"No, it's not like that. There is something that disturbs my mind, but it is not your fault" Erick said later. "Please don't think about it. I'm sorry to make you think so."

Shelin also ventured to raise her face.

"So, I didn't do anything wrong, sir?" ask the girl.

"There is absolutely nothing. Don't worry." Erick returned.

Unknowingly Shelin smiled widely. Maybe because he was happy he was not threatened with being fired.

Erick was stunned again. Just this time looking closely at the smiling face of Shelin. It turns out that shy girl is sweet too. There were even dimples on her face as she smiled.

Erick quickly switched back to his laptop screen and pretended to be busy typing something on his laptop keyboard.

"Please continue with your work" Erick pinta later said.

"Well, sir," said Shelin, much more excited than ever.

The girl then left Erick's study, making Erick once again stop his feigned activity. The man rested his back on the back of the chair. For some reason, since the impulsive act he did on Lalita's wedding day, the atmosphere when Shelin was near him changed drastically. Even though for a year Shelin worked for him, there was nothing special that Erick felt. For her, Shelin is just a poor girl she must help in order to have a better life.

Shelin is very young. He was only nineteen years old, not even twenty. Nearly fifteen years of age with Erick's current age. However, despite being very young, in fact the bittersweet and harshness of life he had felt more than anyone.

A year ago, Erick found him about to jump off an overpass in terrible conditions. Erick manages to thwart the action and takes Shelin to the hospital. Apparently the poor girl had just been spun by several men at once. He became a victim of human trafficking and was forced to serve many striped men every day.

It took several days for doctors and authorities to get Shelin to tell her stories. Fortunately, he recovered quickly and his mentality slowly improved. From the information he gave, eventually the syndicates who hired Sherin could be forcibly arrested. However, Sherin can not return to the village just like that because it turns out she is a pedestal for her mother and sisters there. That's why, after finishing High School he was desperate to wander into the city.

That's why, finally Erick hired Shelin in a place to eat today that became his business today. At first, the girl only helped wash the dishes in the kitchen, but then Erick moved them to the cashier. Until finally, Erick entrusted financial affairs because he saw that Shelin was an honest and trustworthy figure.
