Lalita returned to the room after Erick was no longer in the room. He threw down his body, then looked at the ceiling of the room while thinking about what he should do in front of him. It was impossible if he had to survive after knowing what his household situation really was like.
Unknowingly, Lalita's outstretched hand touched her stomach which was currently still flat. A few days ago, while he was busy preparing for a party, he almost fainted on the side of the road. Fortunately, someone helped her and drove her to a health clinic. That's where she found out she was four weeks pregnant.
No one has told Lalita about her pregnancy yet, as she intends to make the news a wedding anniversary gift for Erick. But now, all those plans are just plans. Lalita no longer intends to tell Erick if in his stomach now buried the seed of the man. He did not want his future son who had not even been born into the world to share the hatred of his father for being born from an unloved wife. Erick's cold and painful eyes, Lalita didn't want her innocent child to see that either.
A bitter decision finally Lalita set in her heart. A decision that will surely tear his feelings apart, but will at least be able to save him from even greater destruction. Yes, Lalita must dare to let go if she does not want to constantly be in pain. It is not good to maintain an unhealthy relationship.
Lalita made up her mind, even though there was a side inside her that did not allow her to do so. His love for Erick now feels so insignificant. He would no longer fight for the man, no matter how big of a feeling he had right now. In the end, love alone cannot sustain a relationship, especially if it is only love that claps one hand.
Slowly Lalita's eyes became heavy. For the first time since she married Erick, Lalita fell asleep without having to fidget first waiting for Erick's arrival on the bed.
Meanwhile, Erick who was in his study also seemed to be daydreaming with a slightly pursed forehead. Previously, if he was angry or not happy, Lalita would have come to apologize immediately and sullied spoiled on him. The woman he did not fully accept as his wife would continue to do something to ease her anger.
But this time everything was different. Lalita did not look daunted at the slightest hint of Erick's anger. He even dared to answer with a sentence that was no less sharp and poignant, making Erick speechless and out of words. Erick became a little curious, actually what happened to Lalita at their anniversary party earlier.
Until the early hours of the morning, Lalita really did not come to see Erick. In the end, it was Erick who entered their room because he wanted to see what his wife was doing. She thought, right now Lalita is crying or sulking. Unexpectedly apparently, Lalita had even fallen asleep so soundly, like a person who had no burden at all.
Now Erick is getting restless. Lalita's change of attitude is quite sudden, inexplicably enough to bother her. Maybe because Lalita had always tried to stick to him, he was a bit unaccustomed to being ignored like this.
Erick finally threw himself on the bed. Once again, he saw Lalita who was now sleeping peacefully. He should be happy because he arrived also the night where his wife did not hug him possessively, but apparently his feelings were far from happy. Erick, who is usually uncomfortable with the touch of Lalita, now feels uncomfortable because he was left to sleep first by his wife.
Erick was restless all night to the point that he was awake almost misfortune. Again he felt strange himself because he did not feel the touch of Lalita's hand that stroked his head gently to wake him.
"Ah, fuck!" Erick cursed while entering the bathroom. All this time, he never woke up this morning at this hour. If he doesn't hurry, he'll be late for the office. After a while, the man was finally ready and went down to the bottom of his house.
"Good morning" said Lalita as Erick sat on the dining table chair for breakfast. He only glanced at Erick, then resumed his breakfast.
For the third time, Erick was confused and astonished by Lalita's attitude. His wife went downstairs and had breakfast without waiting for him. Something Lalita never did for two years of living in a household with him.
"Bu Risnah made your favorite shrimp fried noodles for breakfast this morning." Lalita said casually while continuing to enjoy her own breakfast. Not one bit intends to serve Erick as usual.
"Why not eat?" asked Lalita then when she saw Erick who was sculpting while putting on a look of wonder.
Lalita glanced at Erick's still-empty plate, then raised her gaze towards the man.
"Can you get your own food, right?" Again Lalita asked. "That's the mi in front of you, the time must be filled to your plate like a child."
Erick's eyes looked slightly widened at the last sentence Lalita said. Wasn't the woman who insisted on serving him at the dinner table as if she were a child who couldn't eat alone?
"Are you changing the way you sulk?" erick asked finally after just being silent.
"Who is sulking? Me?" Lalita asked back.
Erick did not answer, but his sharp straight eyes looked at Lalita as if to be the answer to his wife's question.
"No, you're wrong. I'm not sulking at all. It was never before that I felt this good when I woke up in the morning" said Lalita as she grabbed a glass of water and gulped down the contents.
Erick's current forehead became slightly shriveled.
"Don't look at me with such astonished looks. Let's just say I just had enlightenment, so my mind opened up. It turns out that starting the day without thinking about others and focusing on yourself is a lot more fun." Lalita smiled at Erick while showing an expression she had never shown before.
"Oh, yes, today I have business, so can't bring you lunch at the office. It seems, the next days I won't bring you lunch anymore either" Lalita added, wiping her lips with a tissue.
After that, Lalita got up and left the dinner table, even before Erick started his breakfast.
