The Broken Ring's

The Broken Ring's
Perturbed

After saying goodbye to Riani, Lalita finally came out of Arfan's residence. His feet stepped without a burden. He could even still singe a smile even though his heart was now smashed into shapeless shape again. At least, he has been trying to get everything back to its original position and repair the relationship between lovers that he had broken.

No one can prevent Lalita from leaving. Be it Larisa, Erick, Riani and even Arfan. All of them were only able to see Lalita's departure without being able to speak. Only a sigh full of regret could be heard. The crackling that came from Larisa and Riani's lips. There were many things that the mother and daughter couple regretted about Lalita, but the most stifling was the feeling of guilt because they never tried to be honest with Lalita, especially about the relationship Larisa and Erick who must run aground because of Arfan's desire.

After a while, Arfan got up from his seat while showing an unpredictable look on his face. There was definitely so much anger stored within the man right now, especially towards Erick. But because Lalita had asked him to no longer hurt anyone, Arfan could only clench his fists and hold back the anger. Right now, the princess was already quite disappointed over the many things she had done. He didn't want Lalita to be even more disappointed in him if he vented his anger in the way he had been wearing.

"Go from here, Erick. In accordance with Lita's wishes, now you're free." Arfan finally let out his voice.

Erick raised his face and ventured to look at his father-in-law. Arfan's attitude that softened on him was not able to calm his heart. Somehow, he even felt it would be much better if Arfan beat him like that.

Freedom is something Erick longed for. But when his wishful thinking materialized, there was not the slightest bit of pleasure approaching him. His heart was filled with worries and fears that were difficult to understand.

"Go away. Don't make me repeat my words many times" Arfan ordered again.

"Erick, go home ...." This time Larisa is speaking. The girl was seen staring at Erick, as if begging the man to leave immediately.

Erick finally got up and left the room. There was no other choice for him than to do what Arfan had asked for, which was to leave the place right now. With a step that felt so heavy and full of burden, he also came out of the Arfan residence.

"Lita," Erick muttered involuntarily as he saw Lalita sitting at the security post near the gate. His wife had not left. He was seen sitting alone, there was not a single security officer accompanying him there.

Erick immediately got into his car and drove the vehicle out the gate, then after that he pulled over and got out of the car.

"What are you doing here?" ask Erick. For the first time she felt worried just by seeing Lalita sitting daydreaming alone.

Lalita turned her head towards Erick, then turned her face back to its original position. He didn't seem very interested in responding to the question Erick had just asked.

"Come, let's go home together" Erick asked. This time his voice sounded softer than before.

Inevitably, Lalita turned her head back towards Erick once more.

"Thank you for your offer, but I've booked a taxi online. Now I'm waiting for the cab to come" replied Lalita at last.

"Cancel it, we go home together" Erick said again.

"I don't think our goal is the same." Lalita nodded without looking.

"Aren't you going home?" ask Erick again.

Erick was silent for a moment. The flat and cold tone that sounded from Lalita's words just now felt so piercing her day. Is that what Lalita feels, considering that Erick always speaks in a cold and flat tone to his wife?

"If you don't go home, then where are you going?" Erick dared to ask again.

"Why do you want to know? We're getting a divorce soon, so you don't have to bother like this. Obviously, I'm not going to sleep on the side of the road like a bum." Again Lalita replied in a flat tone and without looking.

Erick took his breath. He was at a loss for words, but also powerless to leave Lalita alone there. Finally, the man sat down next to Lalita, not caring if his wife did not look very comfortable in what she was doing.

"If you don't want to go home anymore, then what's the fate of the house?" Erick again ventured to open the conversation.

"As far as you want to be flanked. If you don't want to live there either, sell it. The letters have also been diverted in your name," said Lalita without burden.

Once again Erick let out his deep breath. There was pain and tightness now infiltrating his chest, leaving him unable to say anything more. Even their house which is a wedding gift from Arfan alone is no longer meaningful to Lalita. It seems, Erick really will soon lose his wife. Lalita's not kidding and is really gonna leave her.

"Your face lebram. You should go to the hospital for treatment. Or ask Risa's sister to take care of your wounds," said Lalita again.

This time Erick looked towards Lalita. She should have been happy that Lalita had pushed herself to get back close to Larisa, but why was her heart so sad now?

"If you want to abuse me, just do it, Lita," Erick finally pinta with a hoarse-sounding voice.

"Why do I want to do that?" ask Lalita with a voice that is also no less raucous.

"I must have hurt you a lot. It would be so much better to hear you spew words of mockery at me."

"For what? Things won't change for the better after I've cursed you. After all, I may indeed be a difficult person to love so that your heart is not moved even though we have lived life together for two years. Why should I curse for that? Even without me scolding you, in your eyes I'm still a spoiled, selfless woman." Lalita answered sharply.

"My image in your eyes is already very ugly, so I don't have to make it any worse" he added, chuckling.

Erick's chest felt increasingly claustrophobic just hearing Lalita's purplish. He only realized that he was unfair to his wife. How could he judge Lalita as he wanted, whereas all this time he had never tried to get to know Lalita in the least.

"Sister Risa is indeed better at everything compared to me. Hopefully after this you can continue to be together and live happily," said Lalita again as she rose from her seat.

The online taxi Lalita ordered has arrived, which is why the two are moving. The woman simply passed from before Erick, leaving the man still dumbstruck with a lump of regret that began to block his heart and feelings.
