A Heart that Can't Lie

The next morning, Higarashi is seen waiting for Keira at the usual bus stop, wearing a school uniform complete with his school suit. The long-awaited bus finally arrived and stopped in front of the stop.

A girl then got off the bus, and Higarashi walked over to her. The girl smiled at him, as well as her who immediately returned the warm smile. The two of them then stood together at the stop, waiting for the next bus.

"Aren't you going to school anymore?" ask the girl.

"Oh, um, yes. Look, Keira, I'm going to drop out of school after this, so let me just wear my school uniform for today, because I look so much cooler when I wear this school suit. Anyway today's graduation announcement, isn't it? I'm sure you'll graduate this year, Keira!" replied Higarashi with a flushed face.

The girl, Keira immediately laughed a little at the joke from the man. The bus that was waiting finally arrived. They both got on the bus and stood at the back of the bus. He stood to the left of Higarashi, and after the bus had run, but it seemed that the bus driver who was driving this morning was a little sleepy so he braked the bus a few times.

Keira's hand slipped off the bus handle, then her body swayed and nudged Higarashi's left arm rather violently.

“Aduh!” higarashi exclaimed as he tried to endure the pain, then spontaneously, he held his left arm, right in the wound he had thin bandage.

Keira immediately noticed Higarashi who saw pain in his left arm due to the impact of his body just now.

"Higarashi, I'm sorry! Oh, my God, are you hurt? Are you sick?" ask Keira.

Higarashi immediately lowered his arms and held onto one of the bus handles with his right hand, as if not feeling anything.

"Ah, no, I'm just a little bit sore" Higarashi replied, but without realizing it, the wound began to bleed.

Keira saw the blood suddenly soaked the man's uniform on his left arm, and began to be suspicious. When they reached the destination stop, they got off the bus, but the girl immediately grabbed Higarashi by the right hand, then take him running until they both get into the trees that are beside the road that leads to school.

“Hey, hey! Didn't you say you were going to school?” hygarashi.

After feeling safe and no one else was there, Keira just stopped her steps. The two of them were now standing beside a large tree that was not too tall, but enough to block the sunlight.

Keira then looked at Higarashi with a sharp look of eyes and a serious face and asked, "What did Uncle Xyon actually do last night to you, thus making you hurt like this?!"

Higarashi then looked at his left arm, and it was only realized that blood was clearly penetrating from behind his school suit. He then looked at Keira with a contrived smile.

"It's not because of Prime Minister Xyon, after all, I'm still fine. It's just .. Ouch, a small accident at my house last night,” he replied.

Keira was immediately annoyed to hear those words.

His face flushed red, and timidly, he asked Higarashi, "Just open your school coat, let me see the wound."

"But, I'm really still fine" Higarashi replied.

"Just open it!" exclaimed Keira while frowning her forehead.

Higarashi finally opened his school suit at Keira's request, and indeed, after he opened the suit, the bandage wrapped around the wound on his left arm turned out to be so thin that the blood had not dried completely, it started flowing again from inside the wound.

Now it was clear that the incision was wound, and the girl could only shake her head twice. He immediately felt weak after thinking for a while after noticing her.

"They're starting to come after you, aren't they?" asked Keira with a sad face.

Higarashi knew that Keira would definitely blame herself, hence, he attempted to lie by saying, "Oh, no. It was an accident, Keira. I was home alone, so it was just an accident. I ... ouch, how, yes?”

Keira was silent, but she raised her right hand and started touching the cut.

“Aduh, sick,” says Higarashi.

"Shut up" Keira replied.

A bright blue light then emerged from behind Keira's palm that was touching the incision. Slowly, the wound began to improve, even after a few seconds, the wound disappeared completely.

Now Higarashi's left arm is back to normal, without injury and blood, even though his suit is still red. Of course Higarashi was not surprised by this.

"Ah, thank you. I forgot that you're a girl from Palladina. However, Healing Renovatio can make the light energy in your body decrease, Keira," said Higarashi.

Keira lowered her head and lowered her hand, then she said, "We should have just ended this relationship. Uncle Xyon is right, those Silverians will be after you. I'd better just turn myself in to them. No need to lie to me, because I have seen the same incision wounds on both my parents and adoptive aunt.”

The girl then walked towards the opposite direction, about to leave Higarashi, but quickly, the man grabbed Keira's hand and hugged her tightly until she was forced to stop.

"I'm not afraid of anything but losing you. Don't go again. You've been hurting my heart enough for years, and you have to take responsibility for it" whispered Higarashi.

“Forget it. You know the danger now. They even hurt you blatantly," Keira replied that her two eyeballs were now glazed over.

"I trust you so much, Keira. You are a Crossbreed, and I will give you the energy I have so you can be stronger than you are now if you want to be with me. Why be afraid of a Silverian while you can easily get energy from the entire Metal Galaxy?" ask Higarashi.

Keira remained silent.

Higarashi hugged her tighter, then whispered again, "Keira, your burden is too heavy. Let me help you. The entire Metal Galaxy is leaning on you, and yet, you can lean on my shoulder to ease your burden, even a little."

Keira immediately let go of the hug after listening to the words from Higarashi just now.

"Let me think about it first" he replied.

Higarashi smiled, then he took the girl in his arms, and walked together towards the school. However, Keira's face did not look happy, although the crown prince of Halida actually smiled while looking straight ahead.

“I must find a way not to fall too far into this mortal feeling,” muttered Keira in his heart.
