The First Meeting

Neriya then walked up to the child and his wife while carrying three bottles of orange juice in both hands, however, as soon as he saw Higarashi leaving, his face began to look confused.

“Hey, where are you going, son?” ask him while handing one of the bottles of orange juice to Klafina.

“I'm so bored, let me take a walk myself around here, Dad. I will return to the inn before tonight,” replied Higarashi.

Neriya then gave him a bottle of orange juice, which he opened and gulped at quickly. Higarashi then placed the empty bottle into the trash can on his left.

“Alright, come back before night! Basic kids!” exclaimed Neriya, who then sat on a chair, beside his wife.

"Thank you, Dad, Mother!" higarashi exclaimed, then quickly, he dashed towards the dark blue haired little girl, and started following her from behind.

However, along the way, the dark blue-haired little girl actually got bullying from some other children who were around her. He even walked in a hurry, so as not to meet the children who were around the neighborhood.

Looks some kids laugh at her hair color “Alien base!”

Or even yell at him, "Exile, hey you!"

The little girl seemed not to hear all the ridicule directed at her, even ignoring the papers thrown at her. He continued walking, as if he had been used to receiving the whole bundle, even though his face looked sad and a little frightened.

He continued walking until he finally arrived at the chrysanthemum plantation owned by his adoptive parents who were fenced by a wooden fence around him. The little girl then opened the door on the left side of the wooden fence, and entered it, but out of fear, she forgot to close the door again.

Higarashi had apparently also arrived in front of the chrysanthemum plantation and looked at the unlocked door. He then stood behind it while watching the little girl who had first entered the plantation.

“Am I ... not human? Why don't they like my hair color?” ask the girl with a sad face.

The blowing wind was not very strong, blowing slowly his long dark blue hair. He took out a pair of scissors from the brown basket and began to cut off the petals of chrysanthemums that he felt were ready to harvest.

For some reason Higarashi was eager to step inside the chrysanthemum plantation, however, he himself blushed in embarrassment and disengaged his intentions, clenching his right hand as he watched the little girl from behind the door.

The little girl then looked up, towards a pot that contained many chrysanthemums inside.

“Gosh, I should have harvested it from yesterday!” with a face that looks panicked.

He then climbed onto a chair, and was about to cut off a branch of chrysanthemum that was in the pot, even though he knew the position of the pot was somewhat higher than himself.

However, it seems that he has difficulty reaching for the petals of the chrysanthemum so that the pot does not sway or fall on him. Once he felt safe again and began to cut his petals, suddenly the pot swayed and nudged the small pot next to him.

The little pot then fell, and surprised him so much that he could not keep both his legs on the chair. He jumped down in surprise.

“Hei!” shouted Higarashi, who then ran quickly towards the little girl and instantly caught her body before she completely fell to the ground.

The small pot did fall a bit far to the right of Higarashi, but fortunately it did not break. He and the little girl stared at each other for a while.

“Oh, ah, I'm sorry,” said Higarashi who immediately released the little girl's body from her embrace.

The little girl then stood up straight again next to Higarashi, and looked at him with a small smile on her face.

“Thank you for helping me, Young Master,” reply the little girl.

“Ah, yes, well,” said Higarashi after seeing a smile from him, as well as a thank you first heard from someone else.

Higarashi's face flushed. He blushed in embarrassment, speechless, and just fell silent while looking back at the little girl with a face that looked puzzled.

The little girl then looked at him with a cheerful face and said, "Once again, I thank you, Young Master. I've seen you and your parents buy drinks at the liquor store owned by both of my parents, and I'm the son of the owner of the liquor store. I'll talk to my parents to give you a free drink as a thank you for helping me just now!”

Higarashi's face immediately looked surprised when he found out that the little girl was the child of the owner of the liquor store.

“Ah, it turns out that you are the son of the owner of the liquor store. I'm sorry, I followed you all the way here just out of curiosity for the scenery along the way. Ah, yes, it just so happens that me and my parents are on vacation in this small town" Higarashi replied with slightly trembling lips.

Keira then extended her hand forward and smiled, then said, “Then, you are a visitor from another city, right? Let's meet! My name is Keira.”

Higarashi was immediately shocked by something called the shaking. He could only glare towards the palm of Keira who was now in front of him.

He then grabbed Keira's palm awkwardly, then replied, “Higarashi! I'm Higarashi! I ... yes, I am from the next city!”

Keira gave a small smile after that, then she kept her hands away from Higarashi while bowing her head. His face again looks sad, so that makes the boy confused about his attitude.

"Ah, Keira, don't call me Young Master. I'm not a rich man who has many servants, just call me by my name, Higarashi" said Higarashi, who tried to melt the atmosphere between himself and the little girl.

Keira then looked at Higarashi with a sad face, then said, “Alright, Higarashi. Since I'm done picking up these chrysanthemum petals, I need to get back to the liquor store immediately. I'll lock the fence, so, we'd better get out first.”

He then walked out, and Higarashi followed him from behind. Slowly, Keira closed the fence and locked it back.

Keira was about to put the lock in her pocket, but suddenly, Higarashi asked her, “Ah, Keira, I've been following you since you got out of the liquor store, why are those kids bullying you along the way?”

Keira immediately fell silent as soon as Higarashi asked him that.
