The Past - Part XVI

"Ah, Madam, I'd better go out and take note of the order," Hyerin replied and in a hurry, she came out of the kitchen, and walked over to Xyon.

He then stood beside Xyon with a reddened and irritated face, whispering softly, "Why didn't you tell me that you were coming?! Weren't you asleep when I left?”

"I came here as a customer" Xyon replied with a flat face.

Hyerin who saw her husband's always flat face, now started to make her feel a little upset.

"alright. What will you order today, sir?" asked the black haired girl with a smile.

"Can you call me by any other name?" xyon asked his wife.

"Gosh," Hyerin muttered, then she replied, "Well, what are you going to order today, Young Man?"

Xyon let out a long sigh, then said, "If I were the owner of this restaurant, then I would immediately fire you."

Hyerin began to hold back her emotions and in a high tone, she asked again, "Well, what are you going to order today, dear?"

Xyon immediately smiled as he replied, "You. I'll order you."

The black haired girl immediately smiled widely but with an annoyed face, then she said softly, "Gosh, I'm not playing around here, Young Man!”

The restaurant owner suddenly came out of the kitchen, along with her husband. Xyon who saw it then stood up and bowed briefly to the two, then stood straight back up.

Hyerin glared in surprise at Xyon's actions just now, she looked back and asked, "Gosh, Madam, Mister? What's the matter?"

"Alright, you can bring Hyerin for today only. I'll congratulate you both" said the Madam, smiling widely.

"Thank you for your kindness, Mr and Mrs. I'll be back as a soldier soon, so after this, I'll leave Hyerin to you. I'm sorry that's been troubling you," Xyon replied with a small smile.

"Xyon, what's going on? What the hell is going on?!" hyerin asked with a face filled with curiosity while looking at her husband.

"The young man asked me for permission to take his wife around the city today, before he returned to the battlefield as a soldier, tomorrow. And I just granted her request," replied the Madam.

Hyerin instantly rolled her eyeballs once, then exclaimed, "Mistress!"

"Thank you again, Mr and Mrs. We'll go first, then," Xyon said.

Then casually, he took Hyerin by the hand and took her out of the restaurant.

"Xyon, jeez,” said Hyerin with a slightly panicked face in shock at her husband's attitude.

Hyerin was silent. He just followed where Xyon was going to take him. The young man apparently took Hyerin to take her around the small town. They enjoy a lot of food sold on the side of the road.

Even every now and then, Xyon teased her, and the happiness that was clearly visible on their faces, looked like a completely newlywed couple and were on their honeymoon. The two even played with the water on the edge of the lake, while once joking.

It seems that even today, they will spend time alone, before Xyon must return to his home planet, Planet Palladina. After sunset and night came, the young man then invited Hyerin to sit on the edge of a quiet lake, and the water reflected the beautiful full moon light.

"Hyerin, I'm sorry …. I'm back tomorrow" Xyon said softly as he clasped Hyerin's hand tightly.

"I will wait for you to come back, and I will continue to be here, so you will find it easier to find me" Hyerin said, leaning her head on her husband's shoulder.

"I ... will return home, to you, Hyerin. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have fallen in love with you. I know that waiting is something painful" whispered Xyon with a sad face.

"Come back if you've become a general, someday, Xyon," Hyerin replied, “I will immediately hug you when that time comes.”

The black haired girl began to shed tears. As the day grew night, they finally decided to return to the inn. Hand in hand, the two walked together while occasionally joking.

After arriving at the inn building, they entered Xyon's room, then walked into the bathroom, and enjoyed the warm water that soaked the bodies of the two. Once they finished cleaning themselves, they then lay on the same bed.

Only moonlight penetrated from outside the window to accompany their night.

"Should you come back tomorrow? Can you stay longer with me, here?" hyerin asked with a face full of worry.

"I'll come back to you sooner or later. I'm sorry, but my duty as a soldier can't be left out, because royal duties should always come first ..," whispered Xyon softly.

"I don't care what your job is. I just want you to come back to me ..," Hyerin replied.

However, the young man's face was suddenly filled with fear, he even muttered in his mind, “If I come back here one day, maybe I will still look young, maybe I will still look young, but what about my wife? He was a mortal man who did not have time forever. I ..., I'm so scared to leave it here.”

Xyon then hugged his wife with a slightly worried face. He kissed his wife's lips, and of course Hyerin replied. They ended up spending the night sharing love, without talking about anything other than the beautiful feelings they were feeling at the time. What the young man did not suspect, however, was ... Hyerin wasn't even too surprised to hear that Xyon was an immortal from the very beginning.

The next morning, Xyon woke up earlier than Hyerin. He then kissed his wife on the forehead, and stood up, walking out of his room holding a medium-sized backpack.

But suddenly Hyerin opened her eyes, sat on the bed and said, "If you come back later, make me a wedding. Even if it's just simple, I'll be looking forward to it, baby."

Xyon suddenly looked back and quickly walked up to Hyerin, then kissed her lips once again, lovingly. After a while, he then let go of the kiss and looked at her deeply.

"I'll leave the keys to this room to you. Hyerin, I love you so much. Wait for me, because I will definitely come back to you if there is a chance. Whatever will happen to you later, I will still acknowledge you as my wife" whispered Xyon softly.

"Xyon, I …. I will always be waiting for you here. Remember that I love you so much" Hyerin replied with tears.
