The curse of the Xbreed: Silverian & Blackerian
The Past - Part XIX

"I've given my whole body to her, Mother. I chose him because I believed he was the right man for me, and I didn't want to hurt him. He was honest with me, and it would be unfair if I had to lie to him" Hyerin said with a sad face.

"You've really gone too far! Your father! Don't let your father know about this! Stay away from that Palladina guy! Your marriage could be a mess in the future! Please think about this carefully, Hyerin!" sira exclaimed while frowning.

Hyerin immediately stood up, then replied, "The only Mothers think are Father, Father, and Father! All he thought about was how to use this one daughter, to get information about Palladina, then he will destroy the planet to get light energy and the secret of the Healing Renovatio power they have!"

Sira then let out a long sigh, then said, "Hyerin, that man …. Let him not know that you are an immortal with a bad starting purpose. He will soon kill you quickly, without thinking about your love for him, or the wonderful memories you made here!”

"Mom don't have to worry. When did you start thinking about me? Xyon is not that kind of man. If he wanted to kill me, I wouldn't have prevented him. I love him, and dying in his hands is not a big thing for me" Hyerin said in a high tone.

"Alright if your decision is already unanimous. I'll leave you first" Sira replied.

The black fog then surrounded his body, and quickly, he simply disappeared. Hyerin then sat back down and hugged her knees again, while opening her left palm, noticing Xyon's ring embedded in her ring finger.

"I don't care anymore about anything but this guy. After all Father and Mother were only thinking of ways to rule the galaxy and become the only creatures living within the Metal Galaxy. I don't like such ambitious goals, because they don't give me love at all!" hyerin exclaimed with an annoyed face.

Meanwhile inside the Planet Palladina, it seems Xyon is training by himself in the backyard of the palace, and without him noticing, it seems that Xyon is training by himself, his mother stood behind the young man while watching the boy with a smile.

"Xyon," said Wyona slowly.

The young man immediately stopped his training and looked back. He immediately turned his body back as soon as he saw that the one who called him just now was his own mother.

"Mother," Xyon replied, while walking towards Wyona, then standing in front of her.

"You'll be taking the royal exam soon. Be a strong general, for your father's duties will soon be given to you, son," Wyona replied.

Xyon slightly lowered his head, then said, "Mother, I don't want to take that exam."

"Your father has registered you" Wyona said, looking at Xyon's left finger, then looked back at the boy with a smile.

"Mother, I …. I ..," said Xyon, but Wyona immediately cut him off, "Xyon, make your mother and father happy. We will be looking forward to your graduation and your promotion as a general.”

"However, Mother ...," replied Xyon who was again cut by Wyona, "No, Xyon. You can't relate to anyone again during this royal exam. I have to go back first. Good luck, dear."

Wyona then walks leaving Xyon alone there. After his mother left, Xyon immediately restarted his training, but this time, his cosmic sword swing was very heavy and a little rough.

One week later, the royal exam finally came to select the general who would serve under Derix. Some of the generals who had retired and quit their duties, this time became judges for the test.

Derix was present as a Senior General, not as a father. He and six other judges will be very fair in assessing all examinees.

The royal exam was held in a room located in the back corner of the palace. The written exam that they have to do first, then later followed by the practice exam. Xyon could only sigh, as he had to write down all the theories and tactics of war that he knew, as well as some basic knowledge of the universe.

After hours of theoretical testing, Xyon finally waited for his turn for the next exam. All the participants and the judges had now gathered in the palace's backyard. They would conduct a practice test by fighting against each other. Assessment will be done not by elimination, but by fighting and evading and the abilities used.

Participants who win the fight will certainly get the highest score and later, the judges who will choose anyone who has the right to be a subordinate of Derix, who will later serve as a general. Xyon was indeed supposed to not take this exam because he was Arnea's personal bodyguard, however, his father had indeed deliberately kept him busy.

“Your opponent is me. So, prepare your mind and physical as best you can. If you can touch me, then you deserve to get a high score,” cried Derix, while walking into the middle of the palace backyard, then standing in front of the participants.

All the participants immediately stood up from their seats, but not with Xyon. He seemed to be silent, but I don't know what he was thinking.

"Soldier Xyon," said one of the judges from his seat.

It seemed that the young man was not listening.

"Soldier Xyon!" exclaim the same jury, with a rather high tone this time.

This time the young man realized that his name had just been called. He turned to his father, and saw everyone who had stood up to prepare to fight Derix, besides himself. Strictly speaking, he finally stood up straight while raising his right hand until a white cosmic sword appeared within his grasp.

“Please you all!” exclaim Derix in high tones.

“Arghhh!” furious all the participants while advancing together to attack the Senior General.

However, Xyon immediately recalled the large-bodied thugs who had almost injured Hyerin, as soon as he saw his father. His face began to look full of anger, as he could not meet his wife, but on the other hand, Derix had already deliberately kept him busy by asking him to take the selection exam. Of course, the Senior General who already had that many flying hours easily dropped almost all of them.

“Damn it!” yelled Xyon with a flushed face and sharp bulging eyes.

Xyon then to attack his father. Derix did not play around in the test this time even though the one who attacked him was his own son. He did not even hesitate to attack Xyon, although the young man seemed to be recalling Hyerin in his mind, so without a doubt, he dodged all the attacks launched by Derix, many times, many times, while waiting for an opportunity to strike back at his father.
