Along the way, Hyerin could only lower her head with a reddened face while recalling the words from the young man to her: "Because it seems like, I like you."
The black-haired girl immediately shook her head once and muttered, "Gosh! I've only known him for two days! Two days!"
But Xyon's shadow could not escape his thoughts. Even the body of the young man who did look athletic, made his face become more red.
"God! I better stop thinking about it!" hyerin exclaimed softly while shaking his head three times.
He continued walking until he finally arrived at the restaurant where he worked. He then went inside, headed to the kitchen. Hyerin then noticed a black-haired woman with gray eyeballs wearing a white shirt and black trousers, who was the owner of the restaurant, cleaning dirty dishes in the laundry.
The woman immediately turned her head towards Hyerin who was standing next to her with a sad face. He then fell silent, staring at the black-haired girl with a confused face.
"Hyerin?" said slowly.
"Madam," Hyerin replied as she lowered her head slightly.
"What's wrong with you? Why do you look so fucked up?" ask the woman while frowning her forehead.
"I'm sorry, Madam. I was on my way to deliver this food to the man who called you this morning, however, halfway through the journey, I ...," Hyerin replied, and tears began to pour down her face.
The woman then approached him, then patted Hyerin on the back to calm him down a bit.
“Are those thugs again?” ask the woman with a troubled face.
Hyerin nodded once, until the mistress of the restaurant owner now looked panicked.
"However, madam, the man who helped me yesterday, apparently came back for me. He managed to fight the big-bodied thugs, until he himself was injured by the incision of a folding knife belonging to one of them. That's why I'm late to return to this restaurant because ... the wound is quite large," Hyerin replied with a sad face.
"It's important that you survive, Hyerin. You're not hurt, are you? Then who's that guy who's helped you so many times?" said the woman who owns the restaurant, while holding both hands Hyerin with teary eyes.
"Madam, he's the guy who lives next door to my room. We were neighbors and I only knew him for two days. He came to this restaurant yesterday, and also this morning, and always ordered coffee," replied Hyerin whose face now showed a smile.
The restaurant owner's woman immediately took a deep breath, then looked at Hyerin while returning the smile.
"Ah you're starting to like it, aren't you?" whispered, until Hyerin immediately glared after listening to the question.
“No way, Mistress. Xyon is ..., is ...,” Hyerin replies, but he does not continue his speech.
The woman immediately smiled widely, then said, "Ah, her name is Xyon. Well, if he comes back here again, I'll give him free food and drinks for saving the lives of my most precious employee. You seem to like him a lot, even if you've only known him for two days."
“Mrs! I don't like it! No, that's not what I meant! I am only returning his kindness! Yes, I am only repaying his kindness! ” exclaimed Hyerin with a flushed face and looking panicked.
The woman chuckled, then replied, "Your face flushed red as soon as you told me about that man named Xyon in front of me. It doesn't matter if you like him, if he's a nice guy."
"Goodbye, Mistress! I'll be working soon!" hyerin replied, then he hurriedly walked out of the kitchen, leaving the restaurant owner alone.
"Truly young man," muttered the Madam, quietly.
But the restaurant owner suddenly exclaimed, "Wait, Hyerin!"
Hyerin then looked back and stopped her steps, then saw the woman who owned the restaurant was running small towards him while holding a small bag containing a lunchbox and a bottle of drinking water.
"Hyerin, give this food to the man who saved you. Give her a thank you note from me," said the woman slowly, handing over the small pouch.
Hyerin immediately picked it up, then replied with a smile, "Thank you, Madam!"
"Hurry back. He must have been waiting for you" whispered the woman, about to tease him.
Hyerin smiled widely while nodding once, then she walked back, but after a while, she decided to run quickly, avoiding the thugs who might still be eyeing her. After some time running, he then arrived inside the inn building.
He then stopped his steps in front of Xyon's room door while taking a deep breath. Hyerin then ventured to slowly knock on the door of the room. However, despite several times he knocked on the door of the room, there was no answer at all from the inside, so he finally decided to stop.
"Is he asleep?" muttered Hyerin quietly.
Suddenly the door of the room opened, and Hyerin immediately looked at Xyon who was standing without wearing the upper clothes. Only the long cloth earlier was coiled around the young man's body.
Hyerin's face flushed. He was silent for a moment.
But quickly, he immediately regained his senses and asked, "Have you eaten, Xyon?"
"I've been asleep since. What's the matter, Hyerin?" xyon asked back to the girl, with a flat face.
"I brought you some food, and the restaurant owner thanked you for saving me from the thugs. Here, take it," Hyerin said, handing over the small pouch she was carrying to the young man.
"Ah, so. Thank you," Xyon replied, then he took it from Hyerin.
He was about to go back inside and close the door, however, Hyerin suddenly stepped forward, about to come inside together with him.
"Are you okay? Why does your face look so red? Are you having a fever?" hyerin asked with a face full of worry.
Xyon then replied, "I'm fine."
"You're not okay, Xyon. I'll help you tonight. You need someone to take care of you" Hyerin replied with a seirus.
"Do you have to work tomorrow morning? I won't die with just a wound like this, Hyerin. So I'll be fine," Xyon said, still showing his flat face.
"God. Let me help you, just assume I'm repaying your kindness!" hyerin exclaimed as he scrunched his forehead.
He then pushed Xyon's body slowly, in order to get into the room. The young man then closed the door tightly. Hyerin suddenly took back the small pouch Xyon was holding, then placed it on the small table next to the bed.
The young man then lay back on his bed, while Hyerin knelt next to him. Xyon only watched the ceiling of the room, but Hyerin instead looked at Xyon with a face filled with worry.
