The Past - Part VIII

The young man suddenly ran while holding the girl's hand, and on purpose, Xyon bumped into one of the big-bodied men while stepping very quickly, until the small pouch that Hyerin was holding, fell.

“Strike!!” exclaimed one of the thugs after his friend fell due to the actions of the young man.

They immediately ran towards Xyon, and began to block his steps, then attacked him brutally. However, apparently the man from Palladina was very agile. Although he was holding Hyerin while trying to run out of the small alley, but he was able to swing his cosmic sword very quickly, avoiding the attacks launched by them.

“Xyon! Jesus!!!” hyerin exclaimed while enduring his fear, and many times he brought himself closer to Xyon to escape the swing of a weapon belonging to another large-bodied man.

Xyon quickly realized there was a man attacking Hyerin from behind. He immediately hugged Hyerin's body tightly while twisting his body, then swung his cosmic sword towards the man to tear his opponent's left arm.

“Arghhh!!” shouted the big man earlier with a high tone.

Still hugging Hyerin, Xyon then lifted Hyerin's body up, and carried the girl using both hands, carefully.

“Xyon!” hyerin whispered with a reddened face, due to the spontaneous action of the young man just now, but out of fear, he immediately wrapped his hands around Xyon's neck very tightly.

“But little guy!” shouted another big man.

Xyon was actually starting to get desperate because they started to attack him quickly, but without a second thought, he swung his cosmic sword again to avoid all the sharp weapons of the thugs.

He even managed to injure three of them while running out of the small alley, passing two other men, however, he was, one of the thugs managed to stab and tear Xyon's back with his penknife.

“Ah!” exclaimed the young man while enduring the pain.

But he did not stop running. Hyerin even looked at Xyon's left back, and the blood that began to flow from inside the wound.

“Xyon! Jeez!” hyerin exclaimed with a panicked face, but since the young man did not give up easily, the two now managed to get out of there.

Xyon's cosmic sword instantly disappeared and this time, he carried Hyerin with both hands while still running, and with blood still continuing to flow from within the torn wound on his back.

Hyerin could only stare at the wound that the man had sustained with a riled face. Lunch hours, where people are in restaurants or workplaces, to enjoy lunch, so the streets are quiet and almost no one suspects them. Some people unintentionally, noticed Xyon who was running while carrying Hyerin, with blood still continuing to flow from the wound on his back.

“What happened to the young man?” whispered a woman who was walking across the street when she saw the two.

Xyon ran until he finally arrived in front of the inn, then after that, he walked slowly inside. His cosmic energies were already drained a lot, and he already felt tired, especially while enduring the pain. He then stopped and lowered Hyerin at the door of his room.

Breath gasping. Hyerin instantly became very panicked as soon as she saw Xyon who was about to faint before her.

“Xyon! Hang in! hyerin exclaimed, yet it seemed that the young man was no longer strong enough to endure the pain.

“Defend! I'll get you in first!” the black-haired girl exclaimed as she scrunched her forehead, although her body trembled at the sight of blood flowing more and more from the stab wounds the young man suffered.

Hyerin reached into her pants pocket to pull out the door lock, then put it in the keyhole, turned it around, then opened the door and retracted the key, and put it back into her pants pocket.

While embracing Xyon with his body, he then whispered, “Walk slowly, go inside. I'll help you.”

Xyon held tightly onto Hyerin's shoulder, then they went inside the room. The girl shut the door tightly. He then helped Xyon to lie on his own bed.

“You are on your left back, sleep on your right side. I will clean it,” Hyerin said slowly, but her face clearly showed panic.

The young man did what the black-haired girl said. Hyerin then walked to the bathroom, picked up a bucket and a clean cloth, and filled it with water to the brim. After which, a walked back to Xyon who was now lying on the bed while still enduring the pain.

“Uh, Xyon, please .. open your clothes,” whispered Hyerin softly with a flushed face.

The man from Palladina let out a long sigh, then said, "Hyerin, you don't have to. I won't die this way, so you don't have to worry.”

He tried not to show his pain to Hyerin, however, the black-haired girl suddenly became annoyed after listening to his words earlier.

"Huh! You're really a bitch, aren't you? Obviously you're holding back the pain of that tear, but your face is really, gosh, expressionless! You're such a bitch!!" hyerin exclaimed in a high tone, but looked riled up.

"I'm telling the truth, Hyerin. You don't have to worry, it's just a small wound anyway" Xyon replied, then he tried to get up, but Hyerin immediately put the bucket on the small table next to the bed, then pat the young man on the shoulder and force him to lie still.

“Alright, alright,” said the man from Palladina, then he decided to sit on the bed while looking at Hyerin with a flat face.

They were silent for a moment, then after that, Hyerin seemed to notice Xyon as if she was looking for something.

"Uh, for a second, weren't you holding a sword? Did you throw it in the middle of the road? But I didn't see you do that," Hyerin asked as she scrunched her forehead.

"Ah, I've told you that I am a magician" replied Xyon.

Hyerin's face began to look annoyed again, then she replied, "That's the same sword you used yesterday! If you throw it in the middle of the street, the city government will search for you and impose a huge fine on you!"

"Government? Ah, human. Those big-bodied men who were about to harass you were clearly thugs, right? But the city government is not protecting you at all" Xyon said with a completely flat face.

Hyerin could only let out a long sigh with her face flushed red as she said, "If you stay like this, no woman will want to be your lover!"
