The Past - Part XXXII

“They just fell asleep due to poisonous gas, take it easy, young man!” exclaimed a man whose physique was nowhere to be seen.

Xyon immediately turned his head in all directions, but could not also find the origin of the voice.

"Darkerio! What is your real purpose?! Who are you, and why are you doing all this?! If what you mean by a Crossbreed is my son, isn't he dead? Isn't the universe condemning Crossbreed? Then why do you have to do something like this?!" asked the young general in a high tone.

"Ah, you seem to recognize my voice. What if you were my right hand, General Xyon? What if we became the only immortal beings controlling this universe, so that there would be no more competition and arrogance. The Metal Galaxy will always be at peace if you want to come with me, how?" darkerio asked, but his physique was nowhere to be seen.

"The only?! Who the hell are you, Darkerio?!" exclaimed Xyon again while frowning.

"General Xyon, if you can't find a way out of this maze of castles that I've created, then all of them, within thirty minutes, will be, will soon be killed by the poison that has spread throughout the palace! The antidote is only one, you have to find me, and defeat me!" reply Darkerio.

Xyon immediately glared sharply and said firmly, "Damn it!"

He began to run towards one of the palace hallways, in order to find a way out of the labyrinth created by Darkerio, and at once, find where his opponent was. He kept running, but it was like there was no way out.

The whole hallway that was there he passed, but he kept coming back in the same place. He almost gave up, even stopped stepping at one point, but suddenly, Xyon began to imagine his wife, Hyerin, at their first meeting.

"Not everything has to be done rudely. There are times when you have to be patient and a little gentle, for your goals to be achieved" Hyerin said at the time.

Xyon then let out a long sigh, then closed both of his eyes.

He then muttered, "This is all just a trap. I'm in a game, and what I need to find, is the real exit."

The young man was now focused on staying calm, and not moving for a while.

"General Xyon, you've made me very angry. You'll feel the consequences after this, because you've been playing games with me!" darkerio exclaimed, who was out of nowhere.

However, Xyon apparently began to realize something after he heard the call. He opened his eyes and turned his head to the right, then quickly ran towards a wall with a serious-looking face.

"Go away from here!!" he cried while running very quickly forward, penetrating some walls in front of him, which turned out to be a fake.

The walls instantly collapsed after Xyon penetrated through it, and he was suddenly inside a room.

“Darkerio!” he cried with a face that looked riled up as he looked towards a large-bodied man who was standing some distance ahead of him, however, Darkerio was apparently strangling his mother, while his father had fallen on the floor, next to his opponent's legs in an unconscious condition.

“Xyon!” wyona said while trying to keep waking up, even though the poisonous gas there began to make him limp.

Xyon directly blocked the nose with his arms, so that he did not breathe so much of the poisonous air.

"Xyon, go, go" said Derix softly, with eyes that could not be opened wide.

Darkerio immediately turned his head towards Derix and said with a cynical smile, "Senior General Derix, do you not know at all, that your son is married to a mortal girl from Planet Earth?"

"You!!" exclaimed the young General in a high tone while glaring towards Darkerio.

The big man looked at Xyon with sharp eyes and said, "You really make me angry, General Xyon. That girl is the only gem I have, and you've ruined her life. You shouldn't have approached her, let alone made love to her!!!" darkerio exclaimed with fury.

Xyon instantly fell silent for a while, then asked with a completely serious face, "You know Hyerin?! You, who are you really?!"

"I was his closest person, and of course, he knew me very well. Ah, since you have already ruined his future, I will gladly, also do the same to you!! My only goal here is one, son. I want to master your light energy and cosmic weapons!" shrieked Darkerio while glaring sharply.

“Then you have attacked the wrong person, Darkerio!” exclaim Xyon with reddened eyes.

Darkerio smiled cynically, then exclaimed again, “Ah, you fool. There are already too many immortal beings living here with long life, certainly not good for the universe. They can't die unless this heart stops beating by chance, between being killed or committing suicide. That is why the universe is unbalanced. A little death, but a lot of births, let alone Wormbye is an easy tool to get, right? We can be the sole controller of the universe, by destroying entire planets that have life within the Metal Galaxy!”

Xyon this time smiled cynically, then chuckled and replied afterwards, “You have cosmic powers that are not comparable to my cosmic weapons. Why can't you do it yourself?”

“Ah, dear. The power I have is limited, and because I'm not a Crossbreed. Inevitably, I have to master the strongest planet that is in the Metal Galaxy, the Planet Palladina, right?” darkerio asked with a serious face.

However, he actually muttered in his mind, “The eyes I wanted to put before here did not dare to do so, so .. I asked Hyerin, I asked, my only daughter is to disguise herself as a human and approach this foolish young man, with the aim of finding out more about the weaknesses of the Palladinas. But my plan failed and Hyerin actually gave birth to a child from him. Truly a mortal feeling that must be annihilated!! But I can't waste Xyon. He has incredible power in him!”

Darkerio looked even more wrathful as Xyon's face showed no sign of giving up at all. He then raised his right hand and suddenly, a small black dagger appeared within his grasp. He then pointed the black dagger in front of Wyona's chest.

Xyon's face immediately became panicked, and his heart started beating very quickly as soon as he saw his mother who was in danger.

"You!" exclaimed the young general in a high tone.

"Follow with me, and I will set them free after this. Surrender and kneel before me right now, General Xyon," Darkerio said with a sinister smile.
