The Story of Prophet Adam Alaihis Salam
Allah SWT created the Prophet Adam as the first man in the world. As Muslims, believing in the existence of prophets and His apostles is one of the pillars of faith.
Creation of Prophet Adam is written by Allah SWT in the Quran letter Al Baqarah 30-39. The angels asked the purpose of human creation, which could do damage to the earth, but God answered it wisely.

Latin: wa izk qala rabbuka lil-mala`ikati inni ja'ilun fil-arwi khalfah, qalu a taj'alu fiha may yufsidu fiha wa yasfikud-dim`, wa na awa nuabbi nuamdika wa nuqaddisu lak, qala inni a'lamu ma la ta'lamokahn
It means: And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels, "I want to make a caliph on earth." They said, "Do You want to make those who destroy and shed blood there, while we glorify You and purify Your name?" He said, "Really, I know what you don't know."
Quoted from the book 'Acts of the Prophets' by Ibn Kathir, Prophet Adam was created by Allah SWT from the ground by simply uttering the command 'Kun Fa Yakun'. As Allah SWT said in Al Quran Surat Ali Imran verse 59.

Latin: inna mayala 'ita 'indallahi kamayali adam, khalaqahik min turbin ⁇ umma qala lahakif kun fa yakinahn
Meaning: Verily the parable (creation) of Jesus for Allah, as (creation) of Adam. He created it from the ground, then He said to him, "Be it!" Then be something.
In the hadith of Bukhari, Prophet Muhammad SAW said that Prophet Adam was up to sixty cubits tall with thick hair. "Surely, God created Adam in the form of a man whose body was very tall and whose hair was very thick. His body was like a date fruit that towered very high."
Then, Allah SWT taught all things to the Prophet Adam so that he could understand them. This is explained in the Quran letter Al Baqarah verse 31

It means: And He taught Adam the names (objects) of all, and then He showed them to the angels, saying, "Tell Me the names of all (objects), if you are right!"
The Story of Adam and Eve
After that, Allah SWT created Siti Eve from the ribs of Prophet Adam as his partner. It is written in the Quran letter of An Nisa verse 1.

Latin: ya ayyuhan-nasuttaqubukan rabbakumullaishi khalaqakum min nafsiw wa khalaqa min-ha zaujaha wa bae min-huma rijalang kaialaw wa nisha, wattaqullahallazhi tas`a bi wal-ar-am, innallha kanna 'na 'alaikum raqiba
It means: O people! Fear your Lord who created you from one self (Adam), and (God) created his spouse (Eve) from his (self); and from both of them God bred many men and women. Be afraid of Allah for whom you ask each other by name, and (maintain) family relations. Verily Allah is ever watchful over you.
Then, Allah invited Adam and Siti Eve to stay in heaven and enjoy all His favors. Allah forbade Adam and Eve to approach one of the trees in heaven.

It means: And (God says), "O Adam! Stay with your wife in heaven and eat whatever you both like. But do not approach this tree. (When approached) you are both among the wrongdoers."
But unfortunately, the devil tempts the Prophet Adam and Siti Eve to eat the fruit forbidden by Allah SWT. Satan says that the fruit can turn them into angels and can live eternally in heaven it is written in the Quran letter Al A'raf verse 20.

Latin: fa waswasa lahumasy-syaithanya liyubdiya lahumaa maria wokriya 'an-huma min sau`a wa qala mara nahakuma rabbukuma 'an hazhihisy-shajarati illa an takna malakaini au takina minal-khalidin
That is; then the devil whispers evil thoughts to them in order to reveal their aura (which has been) closed. And (demon) said, "Your Lord only forbids you both from approaching this tree, lest you both become angels or not become eternal people (in heaven)."
As a result, Adam and Siti Eve were expelled from heaven. They were both sent down to earth and separated as written in the Quran letter Al Baqarah verse 36.

Meaning: Then Satan deceives both of them from heaven so that they are both expelled from (all pleasures) when they are there (heaven). And We said, "Let you go down! Some of you are enemies to others. And for you there is abode and pleasure on earth until the appointed time."
Before that, Adam and Siti Eve asked Allah for forgiveness while repenting for their sins. It is written in the Quran letter Al A'raf verse 23.

Latin: qala rabbana anfusana wa il lam tagfir lana wa tar-sunna lanakinna minal-khasirin
Meaning: They both said, "Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves. If You do not forgive us and give us mercy, we will be among the losers."
The story of Adam and the Devil
Before whispering the temptation to the Prophet Adam and Lady Eve, the devil was known to dislike them. In fact, he was arrogant and reluctant to obey God's command to prostrate before the Prophet Adam.
In the Quran letter Al Hijr verses 30-31 Allah SWT says that angels and demons bow down before the Prophet Adam. However, he denied the words of Allah SWT

اِلَّآ اِبْلِيْسَۗ اَبٰىٓ اَنْ يَّكُوْنَ مَعَ السّٰجِدِيْنَ
Latin: fa sajadal-mal`catu kulluhum ajma'ukn
illa iblias, aba ayakina ma'as-sajidin
Meaning: So the angels bowed down, all together, except Satan. He refused to join the prostrating (angels).
The devil reasoned that he was nobler than Adam. Adam was created from a land, while God created Adam from fire. Allah SWT also cast out demons from His heaven according to the Quran letter Al A'raf verse 18

Latin: qalakhruj min-ha mais`mam mad-kina, tabi'aka page min-hum la`amla`anna name mingkum ajma'in
It means: (God) says, "Get you out of there (heaven) in humiliation and be driven away! Verily, whosoever follows you, I will fill Hell with you."
The Story of Adam and His Miracles
Allah created the Prophet Adam with the intention of making him the first caliph on earth. This is the miracle that the Prophet Adam received from Allah as mentioned in the Quran letter Al Baqarah verse 30.
Then, Allah will also make the descendants of Prophet Adam as caliph according to the Quran of An Naml verse 62 which reads

Latin: am may yujibul-mutarra dizha da'hu wa yaksyifus-s`a wa yaj'alukum khulaf`al-ar, a ilhum ma'allah, qaliam ma taishakkarokin
What it means: Is He not (God) who allows (prayer) people who are in trouble when he prays to Him, and removes the distress and makes you (man) as caliph (leader) on earth? Is there a god (other) next to God? There is very little (the mercy of Allah) that you remember.
The Story of Adam on Earth
After being expelled from heaven Adam separated from Siti Eve. According to Hasan's account, "Adam was revealed in India, while Hawa was in Jeddah. The devil is revealed in the Dastimyan region of Basrah. The snake was descended in Isbahan.
Then, Ibn Abi Hatim narrated from As Saddi, he said Adam descended in India with him and descended Hajar Aswad. He carried a handful of heaven leaves in his hand. Next, Adam spread the leaves in India so that a good tree grows there.
Meanwhile, Ibn Umar narrates "Adam was revealed in Shafa, while Eve was in Marwa." They were met by Allah in Jabal Rahma and reunited.
