Talking about the story of Prophet Yahya actually can not be separated from the story of the father, the Prophet Zakaria. Prophet Zechariah was the father of Prophet Yahya who was also given the duty to preach in the midst of the Children of Israel who opposed him. Once upon a time, the Prophet Zechariah was contemplating that he was old and worried about who would be his successor.

Zechariah was a prophet who had no children until old age. While all his brothers and relatives were the Israelites who strongly opposed him. They have the habit of transgressing and breaking the laws of God. He was worried that if he died later no one would continue to lead the people according to the true teachings.

He also felt very sad at the age of his marriage which has reached 90 years never been given offspring. Lamenting that, he prayed to God with a real prayer. Then he believed that nothing would be impossible if God had willed. He continued to beg for the offspring of a son who could inherit it and lead the Children of Israel.

He will also be a determined leader of the temptations of the shethan. The prophet Zechariah felt that this was impossible because his wife was barren and Zachariah was old.

But it turns out that Allah showed his power by giving the Prophet Yahya as his son. And finally, he became the successor to the struggle of the Prophet Zakaria who always get guidance and protection from Allah Swt.

The Story of Prophet Yahya When Dialogue with Satan

Next is the story of Prophet Yahya during a dialogue with the devil. Once upon a time, there was one of the demons who came to the Prophet Yahya. The coming of the devil intends to give advice to the Prophet Yahya. However, the Prophet Yahya was reluctant to accept the advice given by the devil because he knew that the devil must be lying.

Prophet Yahya said in the story of Prophet Yahya described in the Quran that he would not accept the advice of the devil. Instead, he asked the devil to tell him about the Prophet Adam's children. Then the devil explained that Adam's posterity was divided into three great classes. The first is the hardest part of resisting the devil.

As for the characteristics of the hard group is that it will not be able to be tempted by the devil. Therefore, the group of demons would gain nothing. The second group of Adam's children are the group ruled by the devil. This group is very easy to be influenced whenever they are. Thus, the devil will be pleased with those who submit.

In addition, there are other groups that when. Satan says that the third group is like Adam. Where God protected him so that even the devil would never penetrate them. Hearing this, Yahya asked the devil if he could tempt him.

Hearing the question, the devil replied that he would not be able to tempt Yahya. Except when the Prophet Yahya ate too much and satiety that made him fall asleep very fast. Because thus, the Prophet Yahya will not be able to worship and pray at night as he used to do in his daily life.

The Prophet Yahya was astonished and asked what kind of stuff the devil was hanging. Then the devil replied that it was the son of Adam. Then the Prophet Yahya chimed in on whether he also had such an orgasm. The devil answers correctly but only occasionally when you eat too much and make you forget to do sunnah worship.

The Prophet Yahya then again asked if the other orgasm. Then the devil replied that there was nothing because Yahya was really a figure guarded by Allah. Finally, Yahya replied that Allah would not fill the stomach of Yahya with food in it. Satan acknowledged and realized this and insisted not to give advice to Adam's son.

The Story of the Prophet Yahya Against King Herod

The prophet Yahya was also given an order by Allah to teach a lesson and to awaken one of the kings. The king was the ruling king of the city of Jerusalem. A kingdom is a kingdom created by the Romans. It is said that the king had the intention to marry one of the women who still had a brother relationship, namely his own nephew.

Marrying a nephew is forbidden by God. Even it is stated in the Torah that the nephew is still related to blood. He was a close relative and also his mahrom. Thus, it is not permissible to marry a nephew even if he is a king.

The king was King Herod, who was deeply in love with his nephew. He was attracted by the beauty of his nephew named Hirodia. In fact, the king knew that marrying his nephew was forbidden in the Torah. But apparently, his nephew was willing to be betrothed by the king.

In the story of Prophet Yahya, the intention of King Herod to marry his nephew was actually warned by interpreters in the kingdom. However, both of them insist on continuing the marriage. Thus, the Prophet Yahya who gave advice and rebuke was also completely ignored by the king.

One day, Yahya came to the palace to remind the king. But it turns out that he made Hirodia sad even to the point of crying. This made the king very angry. Finally, he gave orders to the troops to capture and kill Prophet Yahya. When arrested, Prophet Yahya did not put up a fight because it was protected by Allah.

The Prophet Yahya was then taken by the bodyguards to obtain the death penalty. Seeing this, Hirodia pleaded with the king to bring the head of the Prophet Yahya after being beheaded. But after this, a painful chastisement was sent down by God to the king and his family. Where they are changed is no longer human, but animal. The story of Prophet Yahya is a valuable lesson for all of us.

The Story of Yahya the Dead Beheaded

Hearing that the king would marry his own brother, Prophet Yahya finally issued a fatwa. The essence of the fatwa is to prohibit the type of marriage that will be done by the king. This he did because the Prophet Yahya was a brave figure. However, he believed that marriage to brothers was against the teachings and should be annulled.

Because of the fatwa issued, then finally the wedding plan of the king with his nephew finally became the lips of the community. Many people are arguing about this. From the opposing to the supporting. Very quickly, the fatwa issued by the Prophet Yahya could spread and eventually reach among the kingdom.

Hearing this, Herodia who had the ambition to become queen felt very angry with the Prophet Yahya. He felt that Yahya had really hindered his ideals. In fact, these ideals have been planned since long ago. And the other reason was that Herod felt that he had been humiliated in the presence of the multitude of the Prophet Yahya.

Because of the fatwa, Herodia felt that her name had been tarnished and she became highlighted by many. Not to mention he was worried if the king changed his mind and was affected so it was void to marry him. Therefore, he immediately made plans so that his marriage with the king could be run, he did various things including by utilizing the beauty he had.

Then, Herodia decorated herself in the best way possible. That way, it will look more beautiful and make anyone who sees it become amazed. He wore various types of beautiful accessories then used a thin type of clothing. A moment later, he went straight to the king to carry out his plan.

Herodus finally felt stunned and interested in the beauty possessed by Herodia. He asked Herodia to come to see him. He said he would fulfill all Herodian requests. Finally, Herodia expressed her wish. He explained how much they were talking about right now. And that made him risk his honor.

In the story of the Prophet Yahya, he also adds that it was the act of Yahya that made the fatwa. Next, he asked the king to punish and kill Yahya. Next he brought Yahya's head before him. This desire was granted by the king whose mind was blinded by love. He was infatuated with Herodia.

No longer using his common sense, Herodus finally did what his future wife asked. He then sent an army to kill Yahya. Eventually, Yahya was captured and killed at the request of Herod.

The army beheaded the Prophet Yahya and brought him to the king. The king offered the head to Herodia. Finally, Herodia felt proud because the mission she was running was really successful. He felt all his missions were successful and soon became queen. However, before that happened they were both rewarded by God to death.

The body of Prophet Yahya is buried in the Umayyad Mosque of Syria. His death made many people feel lost. In fact, Prophet Yahya was a very kind, gentle and wise figure. Today, his tomb is known as the Great Mosque of Damascus.

There are many lessons to be learned from the story of Prophet Yahya. The prophet Yahya taught man to oppose falsehood and uphold the truth even though it was bitter. And all is the power of God where He can do whatever He wills. Even if it is something that is impossible.
