Chap 12's

Back home, Aaron and Caitlyn stare at Levi in disbelief.  "You're right.  Dad really came to invite Zoey directly.”

"Dad, it looks like you lost this bet," Levi said with a smile.

“But how can this project fall into our hands?  There are so many more powerful companies out there.  Why did they choose us?”  Aaron thought hard.

"Yes, why do they insist on asking me to sign the contract?"  Zoey blinked, waiting for Levi's explanation.

Inevitably he thought that Levi was behind all this.  It was as if every word he said would come true.

"Don't you guys remember what Azure Dragon said at that dinner?"  Levi asked.

 "I understand now!"  said Aaron immediately.  “That's all Azure Dragon intent!  The Big Shot has truly kept its promise!  I mean, who else do you think can get Mr Jennings around?”

Zoey smiled shyly.  "I think Azure Dragon is just making regular comments."

"The words of The Big Shot must be fulfilled!"  Levi beaming.

“Gosh, our family will go through its crisis period once we take over this project!  Cook your best meal, Caitlyn.  It's a celebration" Aaron said.

Perhaps because of their good mood, Levi looked much more attractive in the eyes of the couple.

"Don't worry about finding a job, Levi" Zoey said.  “Stay with me.”

"certain.  I will make sure to help you well. ”

Three days later, Levi and Zoey are wearing matching suits, ready to go and sign a contract.

“Levi, I think I should tell Grandpa. After all, they are very worried about this, ” Zoey said.

“I don't think it's necessary.  It's none of their business anyway" Levi said.

"Stay, I think I should call them."

 Zoey called Harry's number.

"What's up, Zoey?"

“Grandfather, I just reminded you that we will sign the contract now.”

“Oh, that, your brother and Samuel are already on their way there, so you don't have to go.  Don'worry. They'll sign on your behalf!  Just leave this matter alone and go to work at Imperial Meadows quietly” said Harry, immediately hanging up the phone.

Zoey was so shocked that she almost dropped her phone.

"What's wrong?"

"Grandfather said that this matter has nothing to do with me and someone has gone to sign a contract on my behalf" Zoey said.

Levi's blood boiled after hearing that.

Lopez's family is as shameless as the Garrison family!

"Don't worry.  No one can take what is yours, ” Levi said in a low voice.

He turned around and wrote a message, sending it directly to the leader of the Ministry of Construction.

Meanwhile, dozens of businessmen had already gathered at the auction site, waiting for the announcement of the results.

Finally, Carlos Wayland, the deputy leader of the Ministry of Construction, made the announcement.

"With this I am announcing that the Western City Ecological Park project will be developed by Imperial Meadows Limited of the Lopez Group!"

The audience became in an uproar at Carlos announcement.

Samuel, Melanie, and the others who went as representatives of the Imperial Meadows stood up and received congratulations from the people around them.

"May we have an Imperial Meadows Limited representative come backstage to sign the contract?"

The person in charge of signing the contract is still Orlando Jennings.

The team vice-chairman simply announced the results.

"Hmm?  Where's Miss Zoey?” Orlando looked at them with disdain in his eyes.

“It's nice to meet you again, Mr. Jennings,” greet Samuel.  “Zoey currently has too many things, so he sent us to sign a contract on his behalf.”

“In addition, the auction results have been made and we are ready to accept the project. What is the difference between who should sign and who should not, Mr Jennings?”  Melanie interrupts.

"Oh, there's a big difference, my friend" said Orlando.  “I asked first as an example, if you are here on behalf of Ms. Zoey to sign the contract, will you sign her name or someone else's name?”

"I ..." Melanie's confused.

Surely, they did not intend to sign Zoey's name, but Harry's.

Wouldn't Zoey be the sole owner of the project if they signed his name?

"By the way, Mr. Jennings," Shaun added.  “You may not be aware of this, although the Lopez Group has many subsidiaries, its president is Mr. Harry Lopez, who has absolute control over all companies. This time the contract will be signed on behalf of Mr. Harry, and Zoey has also agreed to it.”

Orlandia shook her head.  “It won't happen!  We have appointed Zoey Lopez to oversee the project.  I don't know who Harry Lopez is you're talking about.  But since you guys already said it, I'll call Ms. Zoey.  If he agrees, I will approve it from my side as well.”

The three become confused at once, knowing that this has been kept a secret from Zoey.

"Miss Zoey, may I ask if you allow anyone else to sign a contract on your behalf and under the name of Mr Harry?”  Orlando asked straightforwardly as soon as the call connected.

After hearing that, Zoey realized that the project would have nothing to do with her from now on if she gave her consent, and if not, she thought her grandfather would hate her for life.  It was a decision he had to make between his interests and his grandfather.

“I... i..” Zoey hesitated for a long time and almost agreed when Levi took her phone.

"No!  They didn't even call!  What the hell is going on?  If that happens, it is better to take this project off. Just give it to anyone who wants it, ” Levi said.

Closing the phone, Orlando looked at Samuel and his friends with deathly gazes, his face grim.

Realizing the severity of the matter, they lowered their heads and did not dare to look at Orlando.

“I've made it clear with Miss Zoey's side.  This project must be completed by Miss Zoey from beginning to end!  No one else can replace him!  If you guys insist, I can only replace him to someone else!  There are so many people who can handle this project.”

“Listen, if you want this project, ask Miss Zoey to come and sign the contract now!  If not, we assume you agree the project was given to another!"

Hearing Orlando's words, the three of them ran like the wind.

"What's?  Must Zoey?  I think anyone can sign the contract!”. Harry was surprised to find out.

“Dad, what should we do now?”  ask Henry.  "Do we really have to let Zoey take over this project?"

"There's no other way.  But even after Zoey took over, most of the profits are still in our hands. Zoey is still obedient to me; we'll just give them a little something when the time comes.  After all, his small Imperial Meadows Limited was unable to work on this project on its own.  They're gonna need our help" Harry said.

“But Grandpa, how are we going to get Zoey to sign the contract?  This is already the second time someone asked.

"Hmph, I'm going to pick him up myself" Harry sneered.  “I don't want to receive an answer No.  Call him first!”

After the call was connected, Levi answered.  "Huh?  You don't have to come.  We're busy." At that moment, Levi hung up the phone.
