The Chap 50

“Don't I already tell you all that Levi will definitely cause trouble?  but none of you believe me!”

"That's right.  Levi is an animal.  He took advantage of his brother-in-law and almost killed his parents!”

"His nature was clearly like the result of the arrogance he showed at the university!"

 …

These were words that were bustlingly spoken in the private room before Levi's arrival.

Wayne and some of his classmates were jealous of Levi's past accomplishments, so they never liked him.  But they had no chance to vent their hatred back then. 

Finally now at the meeting it gives them the perfect opportunity to vent it.

“What are you doing? Hiding among the girls, Levi?  Join us at our table and tell us everything that happened to you in prison.”

"Ha ha ha…"

Everyone laughed out loud as they stared at Levi with disdain.  “I heard you were unemployed and stayed with your mother-in-law after you were released from prison.”  Someone sneered.

“I heard every major company in North Hampton has blacklisted Levi, so it's no surprise for him to be unemployed even with his abilities. ” A girl adds in a very scornful tone.

It was at that time that Levi learned that the companies in North Hampton had blacklisted him.

Wayne laughs.  “Let me offer you a job.  Our company opens vacancies for security guard positions.  The pay is four thousand with accommodation and meals as long as you have to qualify for the job with your physique! ”

Chloe could no longer bear to listen to their taunts.  “Stop insulting him. He has his own career now.”

"Career?  Don't tell me you're a sugar mummy now, Chloe?  Anyway, you two arrived together. ” Wayne speaks without filtering his mind.

But he quickly fell silent as he looked Jed in the eye.

"Let's all move on to another topic of conversation."  Chloe insisted.

Everyone took their seats after that.  Levi was glued to his seat while Chloe sat down beside him.

Wayne whispered beside Jed's ear.  “Chloe is crazy about Levi.  He was clinging to her even in her current state.  You have to try harder, Jed.”

Jed sneers.  "Don't worry.  I will never lose to a villain like him.”

Levi is surrounded by beautiful girls.  On the other hand is Lina, whose beauty is second only to Chloe in their class.

Lina is a beautiful and famous girl from a wealthy family with assets of over a billion.  Besides her beauty, Lina is also good at her lessons.

He has always loved Levi and sympathized with Levi's tragedy.

“Levi, why didn't you join my father's company as a Technical Advisor?  Salary is eight thousand with additional bonuses.  There are many opportunities to receive promotions as well.”  Lina handed Levi a business card. 

"OKAY.  Thank you." Thank you."  Levi received the business card because Lina offered him the position out of goodwill.

Chloe smirked beside Levi.  Based on his current net worth, he should have more than enough money to buy the company that Lina's father owned.

The other girls on the other hand, were not as good as Chloe and Lina towards Levi.

“We thought you'd take Zoey with you.  Where's she?"

"That's impossible.  Now that Levi has become a criminal, Zoey will not go with him.  He won't want to embarrass himself.”

“You are absolutely right!  Even I feel embarrassed being called a former classmate of Levi.”

Levi has now become a perfect example of a man that all girls should avoid.

“Why don't we start?  Is there someone else coming?"  Chloe hurriedly distracted others.

"The stars for tonight's reunion haven't arrived yet!"

A thought came to Chloe's mind.  "Don't tell me Stephan's coming?"

"That's right!  Stephan is also here!”

 Levi remembered Stephan Simmons.  His father was the director of the department in the district council.  Even at school, the principal had to forgive Stephan's behavior.  He managed to get into one of the leading universities, despite failing most of his exams.

“You may not know this, but Stephan's father received a promotion.  He is now the Chairman of the district council.  So everyone has to wait for him to come.”

“Jed's achievements and Lina's family background are nothing compared to Stephan's influence.”  That statement sounds like an exaggeration, but that's the truth.

Everyone is not familiar with the concept of the hierarchy of society during their university years.  But now, after several years of community service, they are made aware of the authority possessed by a high official in the government department, especially the regional head.

The status as the son of a district council chief overthrows all other personal achievements in the room even though they are combined because power will always be more coveted than money.

Immediately, everyone stood up as they heard voices from the hallway.

Jed is excited because he wants to be the first to welcome Stephan.

Stephan was dressed luxuriously in Armani clothes, Gucci belts, Versace shirts, Patek Philippe watches.

A beautiful woman with a slim figure like a model followed by his side.

Her voluptuous figure and her long legs wrapped in black stockings shocked everyone in the room.

"You're finally here, Stephan!"  Jed greeted Stephan with an excited embrace.

“See you're fine, Jed.  You've been wearing an Omega.” watch

Stephan said with a smile after he looked at Jed's watch.

Jed glanced at the beautiful girl next to Stephan.  "Aren't you going to introduce the beautiful woman to us, Stephan?"

"She's just a random girl."  Stephan said indifferently.

Stephan doesn't care about being in a good relationship because he will change partners regularly.

The woman acted even more arrogantly after Wayne acknowledged her fame.

The others just looked at Stephan with envy.  He can easily put his hands on models that we can only see on television. 

Wayne shuffled forward excitedly.  “Do you remember me, Stephan?  I'm Wayne.  I used to fight for you in the past.”.

"of course.  You are Wayne.”  Stephan nodded.

Stephan's assertion got Wayne excited.  He raised his voice to the others in the room.  “Stephan remembers me!  Did you all hear it?”

“Stephan, my company is developing a new project, requiring approval from the district council.  I hope you will help Me to speed up the process.”  Wayne took the opportunity to ask for help.

"certain.  Let's just say it's settled."

 "Does Kwu need a driver or a bodyguard, Stephan?"  Wayne's best friend Robin asked immediately.

Stephan joking.  "I really need a supervisor."

"No problem.  I'm the right person for the job. guk guk..” Robin imitates the sound of a dog shamelessly. 

It was a lifelong dream to be Stephan's pet.

Chloe is fed up with the brash attitude of her classmates to curry favor with Stephan.

Stephan surveyed the surroundings after he entered the room.  “By the way, where is the villain who took advantage of his brother-in-law, the pride of our class?  Is he here?"

"Ha ha ha.  Of course he's here!  He's been blacklisted by every company in town.  He must be desperate to find your help, Stephan.”  Wayne suggested in a hurry.

Jed looked at Levi.  “Do you look down on Stephan?  Aren't you going to say hello to Stephan now that he's here?" stephan said mockingly.  “Ah, please don't do that.  Levi was a famous person in the city at that time.  I am not qualified to be welcomed by him.  My father even mentioned it a few times and asked me to learn from it.  Maybe he can teach me some tricks about utilizing helpless girls.”

“Ha ha ha…"

Everyone was also laughing out loud.  Wayne glared at Levi.  "What are you doing?  Didn't you hear what Stephan said?  You have to build a good relationship with Stephan, so he can help you find a well-paying job and get your name back from the blacklist.”

But Levi just sat in his chair without moving a single muscle.

Lina and Chloe were already in an upright position.

Chloe gestured to Levi endlessly with her eyes.  ‘I know Levi is very rich and has connections.  But he faces Stephan Simmons now, the son of the district council chairman.  I don't think Levi has the ability to resist such authority.  North Hampton was a commercial zone, so the district chief had an unimaginable influence in this area.

"What are you doing just sitting there, Levi?  Wake up soon!”

"Do you expect Stephan to welcome you?"

Wayne and Robin tell Levi about his behavior.  They even had the urge to drag Levi out of his chair.

Jed grimaced too.  "You must show proper manners, Levi."

Levi just lit a cigarette and sucked on it while ignoring the joke that was happening before his eyes.

A aura of anger appeared in Stephan's eyes as he looked at Levi. His anger increased when he saw the beautiful woman sitting by Levi's side.

‘I've always wanted to sleep with Lina and Chloe.  But my plan was ruined by Levi on that day.’

Everyone knew the situation changed to a drastic one after feeling Stephan's anger.

Jed panic.  ‘Levi is looking for death.’

Stephan's girlfriend, Crystal, said flirtatiously, “Hubby, this guy is so arrogant.  He doesn't take you seriously at all.”  Stephan's expression turned grim.  ‘Everyone always treats Me with respect wherever I go all this time.’

"Wake up!  That's not where you're supposed to sit. ” Stephan scoffs at Levi.

A terrifying silence filled the air within the room as everyone held their breaths unconsciously.  He's done it now, nothing good will come of angering Stephan Simmons.

But Levi just sat motionless and ignored Stephan's existence.

“I'll repeat it again.  Wake up and get lost!”  Stephan ordered harshly.  ‘I wasn't afraid of Levi even when he was at his peak six years ago, let alone now that he was just out of jail!  My status is my greatest asset to govern here.

Levi smoked his cigarette without saying a word while staring at Stephan and Crystal.

Threat flashed across Crystal's face as she took out a glass of water and poured the contents onto Levi.  “Is Kay unable to understand human language?  It's time for you to go!  Are you deaf?”  Crystals screaming.

Everyone does not expect things to advance to that stage.

Jed hurriedly tried to rectify the situation.  “Quick and sorry to Stephan, Levi.  Then we'll look past this incident. ” added Wayne.  "That's right.  Kneel on the floor and apologize sincerely to Stephan.  I'm sure he'll show you mercy.”

Everyone cursed Levi because they sided with Stephan.

Chloe and Lina looked at the crowd in disbelief.  Stephan and his girlfriend are guilty here.  He even poured water on Levi, but they wanted Levi to kneel down and apologize?  This is absurd and unacceptable!  But Stephan had always considered himself right because of his unique status.

Levi put out the cigarette he smoked.  Then he met Stephan's eyes and said casually.  “Begging your father to apologize to me directly.  Otherwise, I won't let you go.”

"What's?  You want Stephan's father to apologize to you?"  Everyone was completely dumbfounded by Levi's request.  They were confused for some time before slowly regaining their consciousness.

"You crazy, Levi?  Do you know who Stephan's father is?  Do you think you're qualified to accept his apology?

"That's right!  Who do you think you are?  Why is there a need for the district council chairman to apologize to you?”

“You're just a lowly criminal just released from prison.  Know your place!”

Wayne, Robin, and the others went to great lengths to insult Levi at the time.
