Chap 44's

Everyone enters the elevator to get to the 88th floor.

Ding!

Zoey could feel her heart pounding and agitated in her chest as the elevator arrived on the 88th floor.

Dug Dug …

But the next moment, everyone was showered with colorful glittering pieces of paper as they stepped out of the elevator.

"Happy birthday to you ..." The birthday song sounds.  Unexpectedly, it was a professional band that performed the song.

Zoey looked up and saw the entire restaurant decorated with photos of her.  Each picture is a fond memory of the time he spent with Levi.

The place was lavishly decorated with flowers.  A sparkling chandelier illuminates the floor with a warm light.

In the middle of the restaurant there was a large multi-storey cake placed on top of the cart.

“Restaurant Spinning Downtown North Hampton wishes you a happy birthday, Miss Zoey!  You are the first and only person to have a birthday party here.  So we dedicate a souvenir so that you remember this special day.”The restaurant manager handed the gift to Zoey.

At that moment, Zoey's tears had already flowed down her cheeks.

How touching!  This is the best birthday celebration a girl can hope for!  Abigail looked at Zoey with envy.

On the other hand, Theo and the others were dumbfounded.  "Let's go inside, Zoey."  Levi held Zoey's hand and led her towards the cake placed in the middle of the room.

Levi gestured with a flick of his finger just as Zoey was caught in confusion.

Fiutt! Fiutt!

A series of sounds were heard.

Tazz! Tazz! Tazz! Tazz!

Fireworks were seen outside the window quickly afterwards.

Firework shots were launched into the sky, and the people inside the revolving restaurant would get the perfect view of the mesmerizing scene.

Fireworks fired are of the best quality as they last longer and cover much of the sky with dazzling sparks.

In the end, two large and colorful words adorned the sky.  Happy Birthday's!

Everyone in North Hampton was fascinated by the fireworks displays that filled the night sky at the time.

Doubt approaches Zoey. ‘ All these events are dedicated to me?’

Finally, Levi clasped Zoey's hand.  "Zoey, I promise to protect and cherish you for the rest of my life."

"I'll also stay by your side for the rest of my life."  Zoey hugged Levi tightly.

Aaron and Caitlyn are touched by the scene.  Levi is really throwing a spectacular birthday party for Zoey at this place.

All the colors drained from Theo's face and his parents. ‘I've made careful preparations for Zoey at Kempinski Hotel.  But all my efforts are absolutely insignificant compared to what Levi made.’

Steve's face darkened.  His only wish was to leave the place immediately.

Birthday banquets last all night.

Theo, who was fretting over the unexpected result, began to investigate the matter.  ‘I can't believe Levi has the ability to order an entire restaurant!’

Seeing this matter he was able to figure things out easily through the influence of the Nash Family. 

Theo suddenly laughed after a few minutes.  "Ha...  Now I know what's going on.  The young master of this restaurant was Abigail's senior.  Especially after him.  I finally understand how Mr. Garrison managed to book this place.  So it's all because of Abigail.”

Everyone turned their eyes to Abigail, including Zoey.

Abigail nodded.  "Yes.  This restaurant belongs to my senior family.  But now…"

Theo's shallow praise was actually an attempt to ridicule Levi.

They gave all the praise to Abigail for a successful birthday party because they thought Levi would never be able to book a restaurant without her help.

But Zoey didn't let go of Levi's hand.  "I'm moved by the effort you put in, no matter how big your efforts are."

Zoey's sincere words were enough to fill Levi's heart with satisfaction.  ‘I don't care about other people's opinions.  All I want to accomplish is please Zoey.’

Aaron and Caitlyn's hatred for Levi deepens after hearing the whole story.  "He's just an opportunist!"

Everyone goes back to celebrating birthdays regardless.

Aaron and Caitlyn present their gifts to Zoey, followed by Abigail.

Then Steve and June handed over the gifts they had prepared as well.

Theo asked Levi.  "I guess your gift must be very valuable too, Mr Garrison?" Ask. ‘I have to humiliate him in front of everyone!’

“It's true.  What birthday gifts are you preparing for Zoey?”  Caitlyn could not help her curiosity.

Levi smiled.  “I didn't bring her gifts.  Well, it's more like I can't bring the gift.”

“So what you want to say is you didn't prepare a gift.  Isn't that right, Mr Garrison?”  Theo took out a fine box and gave the gift to Zoey.  “This is my gift to you.  It was a necklace from Cartier, the same design worn by a princess from a foreign country.  I spent a lot of effort to get these accessories. ”

Caitlyn stared at the sparkling necklace.  "It must've cost you a lot of money, Theo?" 

“Not really, Auntie.  About eight hundred thousand only, ” Theo said in an indifferent tone.

"What's?  eight hundred grand?  Oh God!"  Caitlyn and the others were shocked.

“Thank you for your goodwill, Theo.  For the gift, I won't accept it because it's an expensive gift.” Zoey refused it firmly.

But Steve and the others looked towards them seriously.  "How can you resist Theo's good intentions?"

Caitlyn immediately accepts the gift as Zoey's replacement.

Theo looked at Levi.  “This is indeed an incredible banquet all thanks to Abigail, Mr. Garrison.  You can prepare a gift for Zoey, even a cheap necklace to express your sincerity is enough but, now you don't even bring anything.”

June smiled.  "It's not appropriate for you to come empty-handed, let alone with your 'special' status."

Aaron sighed and lowered his head in shame. Caitlyn was even more fed up with Levi.

"Enough.  We were a married couple for so long, so there was really no need to get hung up on that problem.”  Zoey tidied it all up in the end.

Levi and Zoey went for a walk after the banquet ended.  "I've prepared a special present for you."  Levi said suddenly.

"What?"  Zoey surprise.

Levi took out a lock with a label.  “It's time for us to have our own home and move out of your parents' house.”  Levi explained with a smile.

"What's?  Bayview Garden.?”  Zoey was stunned after she read the label on the key because she knew the expensive properties in the area.  Even Harry Lopez wouldn't joke about buying a house in Bayview Garden.

"Come on.  Let's take a look.”  Levi takes Zoey to Bayview Garden.

"Yes God.  What are you doing?"  Zoey's lost her mind.

"Don't worry.  I've rented a house here.  What do you say if I'm gonna ask you to pay the monthly rent?”  Levi's joking.

But she didn't expect Zoey to believe the joke.  According to him, Levi certainly could not afford the house.  He must have rented this place.  But he was very touched.

"I'll pay the rent."  Zoey said in a hurry.

Zoey finally felt she had a wonderful night. He even smiled in his sleep.
