THE PROTECTOR
Chap 29's

“I'm not hiding anything from you, Bu.”  Levi repeated, “The card is Original.”

“Hah!  Do you think I'm stupid to believe your words? Caitlyn hangs up the phone when she hears Levi continues to insist that her Officer's card is genuine.

He was now convinced this had nothing to do with Leasl. Caitlyn concluded that the police must have instructed the hospital to behave normally and act as if nothing had happened, to avoid tarnishing her reputation.

The project went well for the following days. But they had to stop it immediately because of the upcoming National holiday stretch.

“Levi, can you pick up my cousin at the University of North Hampton?  His name is Abigail Rogers.”  Zoey said to Levi, “I've sent her number to your phone.” She can't take time off from the project at this point, so she enlists Levi's help to pick up her cousin.

“Sure, leave it to me!”

“But shouldn't his name be Abigail Black?”. Levi gave him a confused look.

“That's because Abigail has adopted her mother's surname.”  Zoey explained.

Levi summoned the Azure Dragon after leaving the construction site.  “Take me a car, Azure Dragon.” His order, “I want to keep a low profile, so a normal car is enough.”

Soon after, Azure Dragon appeared with the car. It was the Maserati Executive GT.

“Hadehh!”  Levi shook his head helplessly and got into the car.

He parked his car at the main entrance of the building east of the University of North Hampton. He waited almost half a day, but there was no sign of Abigail.

Thirty minutes passed and Abigail was still nowhere to be seen.  Levi pulled out his phone and called the number Zoey gave him.

“Halo, who is this? An elegant voice answered the call.

“This is Levi, your brother-in-law.  I'm here to pick you up at your school!”

“Hah?  Don't tell me Zoey's too busy that she can't hit me!! Abigail said in a surprised tone, “I'm thinking of returning by myself.”

“Where are you now?”  ask Levi, “I'll come and pick you up!”

“Baikah.  I am currently in Dynasty KTV, VIP room 666!”

“Oke, wait for me.  I'll be there soon!”

In the KTV room, Abigail had just hung up when her friend asked, “Who called, Abigail?”

“This is my brother-in-law, he came to pick me up.” Abigail furrowed her brows in disdain.

“So he came to pick you up?  Are you sure?  Ha ha!”

“Didn't you feel ashamed to be seen with a guy like him?”

Abigail clenched her jaws amidst the ridicule of her friends.  He regretted having agreed to let Levi come and pick him up.

It was the wrong speech from his mouth that made him agree to it.  I should have rejected it straight away.

“Why do you need him to pick you up, Abigail?”  A man asked.  His name is Yannick Zann, Abigail's classmate.  He had liked Abigail for quite some time.  “Why don't I take you home. Didn't you just see that I just got my new car, BMW x5?”

He comes from a wealthy family that runs a hotel chain. The party was also his idea.

What no one else knows is that she has an evil motive to throw a party, she wants to get Abigail drunk so she can take her to the hotel and rape her.

Wearing a cute shorts and sash blouse, Yannick could not take his eyes off Abigail's long slender legs and her exposed shoulders which showed her white skin color.  His blood was boiling inside him.

Abigail shrugged her shoulders.  “But my sister-in-law is coming soon.”

“It's easy.  Why didn't you ask him to come back alone?”  Yannick persuaded, “You know, it is very difficult to gather everyone to drink.”

Yannick's desire gets even more wild when Abigail smiles at him.  Her reddish cheeks resembled two juicy cherries.

“Come, let's have fun and drink liquor!”

Abigail's best friend chimed in and suggested they play some games to encourage her to drink more.  They've been conspiring with Yannick.

Their motive was to get Abigail drunk.

A few minutes later before the door of their VIP room opened, Levi walked in.

 “Who are you, Sir?  What are you doing here?” Several men stood up and raised their voices at Levi as they were Watching their muscles in front of the women.

Levi gave them a cold shoulder, and just looked around to look for Abigail.

When her eyes finally saw Abigail, her gaze was on her and she said, “I'm here to pick you up, Abigail.”

“Hahaha, so she's your famous sister-in-law, Abigail?”  Yannick scoffed, “I've heard so much about him, about how he used his brother's wife and how he tried to kill his adoptive parents.  No wonder they call it an ungrateful person who bites the hand that feeds him.  He looks like that type of person to me! ”
