Chap 28's

"certain.  Can you use the name of the woman in the interrogation room? ” His orders to one of the officers there.

"What'sthis?  Caitlyn Black's?  Are you sure it's Caitlyn Black?”. Xavier Fields gave the name to Steven Shaw.

Steven Shaw pushed Xavier Fields into a corner quietly to get away when he heard the name.

“You're wrong!  Caitlyn Black is the mother-in-law of the God of War!”

"What's?  Oh my goodness!"  Xavier Fields had never felt such shock right now in his entire life.

"Listen, Xavier."  Steven instructed, “Block all any information and assume nothing happened today.  Remember, don't say anything about it!  I will inform Azure Dragon and we will hand it over to the War God himself to deal with this matter. ”

"Well, I'll do what you say."

Xavier Fields was still recovering from the sudden shock.  He could barely stop the trembling at his feet.

Levi was with Zoey when she received a call from Azure Dragon.  He came to the police station after they informed him of the matter.

He took back his wallet from Xavier Fields without taking issue with it. Xavier and his men were finally able to sigh in relief.

“Just leave the rest to me, God of War.”  Xavier suggested, "I'll follow up with Mrs Caitlyn Black and make sure everything goes back to normal."

Levi nodded, giving his approval.

"You may leave now, Miss Black!". Inside the interrogation room, Caitlyn was greatly relieved to hear those words.  It made her cry again, yet, this time, it was tears of gratitude.

“This is all just a misunderstanding, Mrs Black.  You are free to leave now, as we found out that the Task Card was a fake document.  But please remind your son-in-law not to use such fake documents to deceive anyone, he can be arrested for it!”

"Sure, Officer!"  Caitlyn nodded solemnly, "I'll make sure she gets your message!"

“Your son-in-law is waiting for you outside.  You can go now.”

Caitlyn walked out of the interrogation room. His anger flared up as he saw Levi standing near the counter, waiting for him.

"Mother…"

Caitlyn is filled with hatred being treated like a thief when they arrest her and take her to the police station.  He had never been to a police station before, and he never imagined that his first arrival to the police station was in such a miserable state.

“You must leave Zoey for good.  You're just gonna ruin his future with that dirty deal you did in jail there! ” he blabbed, "How dare you come up with the idea of making a fake Officer Card?"

“The card is Original, Bu.”  Levi scratched his nose in frustration, "I don't carry a fake card." He could only blame his own carelessness, for entrusting the matter to be handled by that Police Officer.

“What makes you say that the card is real?  Do you think you're more professional than the officers here?  I'm sure you must have used it to deceive and deceive innocent people like me.  You better not involve Zoey in this crime of yours, or I'll never let you get away with it!  Caitlyn lashed out at Levi, “I gave you one last chance and I'll keep it a secret from Aaron and Zoey about this.  You'll be out of my house forever if I catch you doing this again, you hear me?” Caitlyn was so angry that she was about to explode.

“Alright, mom.” With that said, they left the station and Levi sent Caitlyn back to the hospital.

When she returned to the hospital, Caitlyn thought that everyone would look at her strangely in the hospital.

Contrary to his thought, everyone behaved as if it was just a normal day at work and no problem whatsoever had occurred.

‘What's going on?’

‘Didn't the big commotion just happen?  How can everyone react with such indifference?’

“Are you okay, Dr. Black's?  I'm so worried for you.  Thank goodness you're back!”

"I know I've been cruel and rude to you in the past, and I'm so sorry for that."  Jelena came up to him and said, "I've pulled out of the competition for the position of assistant supervisor now, because I'm sure you're a better candidate for the job.  I already told the hospital about this decision.”

Caitlyn was completely clubbed when Jelena Keaton apologized to her and even offered to step down from the post of assistant supervisor.

It was a position that they both had been aiming for for so many years! ‘He backed out of it?’ ‘What happened here?’

‘Did they not know I just got arrested and sent to the police station?  They had even seen it with their own eyes! But why is everyone acting so weird now?’

‘The same goes for Jelena, she looks scared of me. The others also looked just as frightened.’

‘I can see from their faces and highlight their eyes.  I can feel it!. There's something suspicious here.  I'll ask Levi!’

Caitlyn pulled out her phone and called Levi, “What happened, Levi?  Are you hiding something from me?”
