Chap 13's

Everyone in the Lopez family was confused. Zoey agrees, but with Levi around, they are not so sure about it.

"What should we do now?  Who knows Zoey's missing with Levi again.  If we don't find it in the afternoon, Mr. Jennings will assume we have voluntarily given up on this project, ” Samuel said anxiously.

“Hmph, he threatened me!  Even to the point of giving me conditions!”  Harry replied, then called.

“What does this mean, Levi?  Don't you want this project anymore?”

“That's right, it has nothing to do with me!  Aren't you guys trying to lay off Zoey?  We'd better leave this project alone,” Levi replied.

"Levi, Grandfather had no other intention," Harry softened.  “Come and sign a contract with Zoey.  Furthermore, Zoey will be in charge of this development project.  That's what Mr. Jennings.” wants, too

“Well, I'm not so sure about that.  I'm afraid Zoey will be dismissed anytime.”

“Note the terms, Levi.  How can I get Zoey to sign a contract”. Harry was angry, but he could still hold it.

"Condition?  First Imperial Meadows Limited will fully develop this project, and no other company from the Lopez Group will be directly involved.  Second, Imperial Meadows Limited had to be separated from Lopez Group and become an independent company.  But Zoey has agreed to hand over some parts of the development project to you.  I mean, we all have to make money together, right? As long as you agree to the terms mentioned, I will bring Zoey to sign the contract immediately! ”

Harry breathed rough after Levi finished speaking.

‘Levi makes Zoey cut all ties with the Lopez family. In other words, the Lopez family will have nothing to do with the project, and it's up to Zoey to get her little piece. But at this critical moment, we have to sign a contract first. I must have this project.’

Harry took a deep breath.  “Oke, I agree!”

“Voral promises alone are not enough.  We have to make black over white first” said Levi.

In just three hours, Harry had completed all the necessary paperwork.

Imperial Meadows Limited will completely separate from Lopez Group and become Zoey's company.

"Okay, we'll go and sign the contract now!" Levi brings Zoey to the bidding site and successfully signs a contract with Orlando.

‘So I'm in charge of a billion project?’

‘From bankruptcy to taking on a big project like this ..’

Zoey did not dare to think too much about it.

With the contract signed, Harry and the others were overwhelmed with mixed feelings.

“Isn't Levi too cruel?  He's closing all our roads" Henry said.

“Crazy him!  Can Zoey handle this project alone?  Could he sign this contract if it wasn't for the Lopez family?”

“Yes, he monopolizes everything.  I don't accept this! ” Shaun, Melanie, and the others are upset.

"Don't worry, you guys," Fabian chuckled.  “We can still get this project!  Even if Imperial Meadows Limited had become independent, Father still owned thirty percent of their shares.  Moreover, developing a one billion project was not something anyone could do.  Every human and financial resource is indispensable.  It is impossible for a small company like Imperial Meadows to handle this alone.”

“Well, there's no need to consider Levi; he's just a piece of trash, and Zoey doesn't have any connections in North Hampton.  They should beg us to invest when the time comes.”

"Ha ha ha.." Henry grinned.  "Dad, I think we should put a little pressure on them and get back 2.8 million first!"

Harry laughed in his heart.  “You're the best, Henry.  It has to be done!  Shaun, go over there and ask for our money!”

Aaron and Caitlyn have been told.

 They were so excited that they specially prepared the food and waited for Levi and Zoey to return.

However, Zoey looks moody despite having signed a big contract. “Bu, Dad, we really offended Grandpa this time!  I'm sure they'll hate us for a lifetime.”

“Just ignore them!  Our status was the lowest in the family all along and your Grandfather doesn't even care about us!  This time, we have to make a name for ourselves and prove it to her!”  said Aaron.

"Yes, I have to work hard!"

"Levi" said Aaron.  “Although you did not contribute anything to this incident, but our family seems to be fine after you return.  Come on, let's have a drink!"

Just when Aaron took out a bottle of quality wine, Shaun arrived.

“Grandfather sent me here, Uncle Aaron!  This is an IOU.  Please return 2.8 million of your debt to us. ”

Shaun's statement hit Aaron and his family like thunderbolts.

“Kakek said that he will make an appointment with a foreign specialist to seek medical advice, and he has no money now, so he can only ask you to pay him back, ” added Shaun.  “It's a little urgent, so you have to pay off the debt in three days.  Otherwise, Grandpa's health would only deteriorate!”

Shaun left after he gave them the sad news.

"What's wrong?"  Levi asked.

 Zoey bit the bottom of her lips and said, “Fate of fate!. We don't have any money, either in the company or at home!  The company has just started operating back, and we don't even have half a million in savings.  As for the family, we can barely afford my sister's tuition.”

Zoey has a younger brother who is studying abroad and still relies on the family for financial support.

"I know that," Aaron sighed.  “Dad won't let us off that easily.  I'm sure he'll get us cornered until we pay him back.”

Zoey's face was mixed.  “It's not just about paying them back, we also need funds for the development project.  We don't even have the initial funding to start the project.  Investment is very necessary, but it is very difficult.  The project can be suspended when the time comes and the other party may even terminate the contract! ”

“You don't want to say it!  But We have been warned by the bank and we can't even borrow a penny now.” Aaron almost cried.

After all that talk, it all boils down to MONEY!

They could solve everything if they had money, but a man without a penny was not a human at all. After all, it was not just a matter of one cent, but 2.8 million!

"I'm sure today will come" Aaron continued.  “Your grandfather tricked us into giving them this project by forcing us to borrow money from them and having them invest in us.”

"If there's no other way, let's give it up and give it to Grandpa" Zoey said helplessly.  “Now that Imperial Meadows Limited is in our hands, let's do it step by step!”

“Why should you give up?”  Levi speaking. “2.8 million no problem!  Leave it to me!”
