Chap 48's

Zoey was afraid those people were there just to cause a commotion.

Unexpectedly, Nueve explained cheerfully.  “It's nice to meet you, Miss Zoey and Mr. Aaron.  You can call me Nueve.  I'm very sorry I caused this mess in the last two days.  So I worked all night to recover the construction we destroyed the other day.  Moreover, you can freely utilize my subordinates until the completion of this project.  I have about two hundred people with me, and please hand over the sewage system to us.  Also, we will not accept any payment to do all this!”

Two hundred gang members to volunteer at our construction site?  No one can understand the situation.  But Zoey had no other choice but to accept the situation.

Zoey asked Levi about the matter when she arrived home that night.

“I live in the same prison as Nueve before.  We were close to each other, so he helped me.”  Levi explained.

Zoey had investigated Nueve's background the previous day.  So he could verify Levi's statement.

“You shouldn't get along with that much from now on.  The relationship you have with the inmates I don't like.  Did you borrow five million from those people as well? ” Zoey quickly deduced the source of the money.

Levi nodded.  "That's right."

"alright.  Let's return these five million after I receive payment from this project. ” Zoey said with determination.

The Garrison family estate.

Joseph gathers every member of the Garrison family for a meeting.

Bryan told everyone restlessly.  “I've thoroughly investigated Levi's background.  The man who supported her was Nueve.  He was imprisoned earlier because he killed someone and was placed in the same prison as Levi.  Nueve was released from prison one year ago, and coincidentally, even Trey had to obey every order Nueve!” had

"Do you guys, Nueve's subordinates helped Zoey at the construction site" Yusuf said with a smile. 

“Now we know who the man who supported Levi is.  So that's Nueve?” ask Melanie worried.  "Is this Nueve a tough guy, grandpa?"

“He is a tough guy.  It is said that no one can match his cruelty and bloodlust.” 

“But Nueve is not the most impressive person.  The title belonged to Jack Smith, also known as the King of North Hampton.  He was in charge of the entire North Hampton with hundreds of people working under him, including Invincible-13.”  Yusuf explained.

"Then should we be afraid of Nueve, grandfather?"  ask Melani again.

Ben sneered.  “Nueve is nothing!  As easy as ABC for us to kill him. However, we should be afraid of Jack Smith.”

Evil intentions glittered in Joseph's eyes.  "alright.  The one month period Levi gave was near.  Let's build up all our connections before I invite Mr. Smith.  Time to face your death, Levi!”

"Ha ha ha.  That's a brilliant move, grandpa!  Nueve would have no choice but to kneel down when Jack Smith was here. ”

“I can already imagine Levi's astonished expression in my mind.”

“Ha ha ha…"

Everyone laughed out loud.

They thought Nueve was the one who supported Levi.  So they wanted to invite the most formidable man in the underworld, Jack Smith, to intimidate him. 

But that's just a little bit of information they know about Levi's identity…

The next day, the representatives of Lopez's family, Shaun and Samuel, go to see Zoey.

Zoey did not know the reason behind their visit.  "What's wrong?  Do you need anything?"

“Are you aware of your mistake?  Levi beat up Nueve's subordinates and infuriated him.  What's wrong with you two?”  Samuel scoffs.  “You should hurry and apologize to him.  Otherwise, this matter would be endless!”

Zoey curled her lips into a grin.  "So so.  I thought you were the one who hired them in the first place? ”

“It's not true.  How can you say that?  They told us because Levi hurt them.  You should apologize to him immediately.  Otherwise, they will blame us for their mistakes.  You must take responsibility for the mess you made!”  Samuel said aggressively.

“Hehh.”  Zoey laughed flatly.  It's very clear that the Lopez family is behind all this, but they want me to apologize?

“Take care of your own mess!”  Zoey turned to leave after she said so.

At that moment, a group of workers wearing safety helmets rushed towards them.  The man leading the group was Nueve.

“What happened here, Miss Zoey?”  ask Nueve.

“Do not interfere.  You're just a lowly worker. ” Samuel pushed Nueve away.

But Samuel and Shaun were flabbergasted to see Nueve's face after he removed his helmet.  “Tuan ... Mr Nueve ... what are you doing here?”  They really don't believe.

“Hard them.”  Nueve shouted orders and the members rushed to Nueve's side to beat up Samuel and Shaun well.

“Don't worry, Miss Zoey.  I will handle security at the construction site from now on.  No one dared to step out of this place. ”

Afterwards, Lopez's family suspected there was a friendly relationship between Nueve and Levi because they lived in the same prison.

On the other hand, Levi decided to ignore the matter temporarily for the sake of Zoey.

Chloe drove her car towards Levi after Levi waved at him.

‘He drives a Porsche Panamera?. Her husband-to-be would be an amazing man, judging by the expensive car she bought for herself at this young age.  At the very least, her future husband should be an executive of a large company or a multinational company because an Ordinary person would not be able to satisfy a person like her.’ Levi thought to himself.

Chloe got out of the car and asked with a smile.  “I thought you'd take Zoey to the reunion?”

“He's busy, and it's not his class.  So he doesn't need to come.”  Levi explained.

“Why don't we go together?”  Chloe called Levi.

“Sure.”  Levi originally wanted to summon the Azure Dragon to send a car after he exited the surroundings.  But she changed her mind after seeing Chloe.

Chloe thinks Levi won't drive because of the inconvenience.  ‘I wouldn't be surprised even if he was driving a car worth a billion.  After all, he spent fifty million so casually.  Actually, he's handsome even if he takes a cab.  That's how the rich try to experience the lives of ordinary people.’

There will always be an explanation to justify Levi's actions because he's a billionaire.

“Have you been released from prison for a long time?”  ask Chloe curious.

Levi was a little surprised.  ‘He was the first person to raise suspicions about my early release.’

“Kwu true.”  Answer Levi.  “What business have you been doing all this time?”  Chloe focused her gaze on Levi despite her duties as a driver.

“I've dealt with firearms..” said Levi.  ‘Fire weapons are the most common thing in my reach in recent years.  It's not a bad idea to use it as a cover because I'm familiar with the topic’ Thought.
