Chap 45's

At Lopez's family home, everyone gets angry when they hear about Zoey's fancy night.

“Zoey holds his birthday party at the revolving restaurant North Hampton City Center.  He really spent the money as he pleased now!”

“If it wasn't for grandpa's help, I'm sure they wouldn't even be able to enter the restaurant.”  Melani roars.

Henry and Fabian were not satisfied.  “Aaron disappointing!  If we hadn't helped them before, they would be begging on the streets now, Dad.  How dare they forget about their family after receiving the project?”

Harry grimacing.  “I don't expect them to fight me either.  Aaron and Zoey obedient in the past.”

“This is all wrong Levi!  Didn't you notice how things have changed since Levi came back? ” Say Melani.

A threatening expression flashed across Samuel's face.  “Hmph!  Do they think they will be able to continue this project smoothly?  Dream on!"

Harry looked at Samuel in confusion.  "Do you have a good idea, Samuel?"

Evil intentions glittered in Samuel's eyes.  “They should not handle this project because we are not participating.  Don't worry, grandpa.  I met the mafia boss.  If he wants to help us..”.

Harry asked.  "Who's the boss you're talking about?"

"Everybody calls it Nueve!"  Samuel answered.

“Oh, you're talking about Nueve.  He is famous for killing over a hundred people with an axe.”

"They say nothing can match his cruelty and bloodlust."

“I heard Nueve was imprisoned for three years in the same prison as Levi.  He was released from prison last year.”

Harry and the others were clearly familiar with the name Nueve.

"alright.  You're gonna handle this, Samuel.  I'll pay the money.”  Harry was ready to risk everything.

At this time, Zoey, Levi, and the others were unaware of the Lopez Family scheme.  Zoey went to monitor the construction site directly as the Western City Ecological Park project began.

They hire a professional construction team because of their considerable funds.

Some buildings have already begun to take shape due to their high efficiency.

That night, Zoey went to survey the site again.  But he was met with total chaos as if something terrible had happened.

Zoey and Aaron run towards the scene in a hurry.

They saw two parties standing against each other.  On one side were construction workers, while on the other was a group of foreign thugs with scary tattoos on their bodies.

They were all carrying knives and other weapons as they approached the construction workers.

Following behind the thugs was a group of villagers.

"What the hell is going on?"  Zoey and Aaron asked as soon as they arrived.

"Miss Lopez, they claim to be former residents of this area.  They are here to create trouble due to the ongoing demolition.  They destroyed our building and even injured us.”  The team leader of the construction site exclaimed.  “This is so scary!  They are obviously thugs who do not belong to this village, they are just making it up.”

Zoey and Aaron turned their eyes the other way.

The people on the opposite side were indeed akin to criminals who had just been released from prison.  Not only that, they gave off a creepy vibe as if they were killers.

“I am the boss of this project.  Talk to Me if you have any dissatisfaction. ” Zoey speaks to the crowd bravely.

The one who led the thugs was a muscular man with tanned skin.  Terrifying scars covered his face, shoulders, and body.

The scar was clearly left behind after he recovered from the severe injuries inflicted by the blade.

Seeing his scar was enough to cause fear in most people.

The man was nicknamed Chopper and he was a famous person in their circle.  He's also Nueve's right-hand man.

"He's right.  We want compensation!”

"We will wreak havoc on this place if you don't compensate us!"

Under the leadership of the thugs, the villagers shouted furiously.

Zoey looked at them seriously.  “I'm sorry, but we have obtained the right to develop this area legally.  If you feel that the amount of compensation is not enough, then you should look for the department responsible for the matter, not us. ”

Chopper scoffs.  “We don't care about any of it.  We are all just ordinary people here, and all we can see is that you are building something on our land.  I'll give you two choices.  Our compensation is expensive, or we will destroy anything you build here.”

"That's right!  We want compensation!”  Everyone is screaming.

Zoey finally understood the situation.  They're here to cause trouble.  These thugs must have forced the villagers to cooperate.

"alright.  How much do you want us to compensate you? ” ask Zoey.

“We have made the calculation.  You just need to compensate us one billion. ” replied Chopper.

"Impossible!  Don't even think of getting a penny!”  Aaron immediately replied.

Chopper narrowed his eyes threateningly.  "If that's the case, then destroy everything!"

Some thugs and over a hundred villagers began to damage the items after receiving Chopper's orders.

The workers tried to prevent them.  But the thugs threatened them with a knife aimed at their throat.

"I will kill everyone who dares to move."

Zoey and the workers could only watch leisurely on the side as they tore down everything that was built in plain sight, including the worker's resting place.

After which, Chopper smiled in satisfaction.  “I warn you now, Zoey.  We will come here every day and destroy everything you have built if you do not compensate us.”

He then threatened the workers.  "I'll kill you all if you dare tell the police."

Chopper led the angry crowd afterwards.

Zoey and Aaron almost cried seeing the mess.

Chopper sneered at the villagers after they reached a remote area.  “Come back to your house now and don't tell anyone about this.  I Know Your Address, so I'll find You and let You get the consequences if You don't obey Me.”

"We know.  We will not oppose you.”

The villagers leave immediately.

Chopper dialed the number and reported cheerfully.  "We've completed the task, Mr. Nueve."

An unpleasant sound was heard from another channel.  “This is an easy amount of money provided by the Lopez family.  All we have to do is destroy some buildings.”

“You are absolutely right.  I'll visit the construction site again tomorrow night, Mr. Nueve. ” Chopper laughs out loud in excitement.

On the other hand, inside the clubhouse.  Many people were sitting in private rooms.

Among the crowd was Trey.  But he was far from the limelight in the banquet because Nueve was the host of the event.

Nueve's ranking was directly higher in their circle compared to Trey's.

Someone whisper.  “What's up, Mr Nueve?  Are you facing a problem?  Just tell me if you need a man to do your wish. ”

Nueve, who was dressed formally for the event, responded with a smile.  “There is nothing like it.  It's just that the Lopez family gave me ten million to cause trouble on the site of the ongoing Western City Ecological Park construction.  I thought the task would be complicated, but it all ended smoothly. ”
