THE PROTECTOR
Chap 52's

Draco's subordinates don't have the courage to look at Stephan and Crystal.  They focused all their attention on Levi.

"Are you okay, Mister?  We were very worried when we received the news.”  They said in haste.

Everyone in the room was flabbergasted.

Stephan was completely incredulous.  “I'm your son, dad!  I'm the one who got hurt.”

But Draco focused his gaze on Levi even though Stephan was trying to express his grievances.

"I'm doing fine.  But my clothes are dirty.” replied Levi.

Everyone saw the wet stains seen on Levi's clothes.

Draco was furious.  He scanned the room and asked angrily.  "Who did this?  Who poured water all over her body?”

The other subordinates raised their voices as well.  "Who would dare?"

Those in the know were staring at Crystal simultaneously.  Crystal lowered her head as her body looked trembling.

Draco gripped Stephan's collar and slapped him mercilessly.  “You spender!  Why do I have a son like you?  You will be the cause of my downfall! ”

Plaque!

Bugs! A bag!

Draco beat his son in anger.  He finally stopped when he was out of breath.

Stephan's confused. ‘What is going on?  Why did my father beat me?  I am a victim of this incident.  Why is he worried about Levi Garrison?

The other classmates were also confused as they looked at Levi differently.

‘What happened?’ Chloe's relatively uptight.  ‘Don't tell me Levi's status is even higher than the Simmons family?  Is that the reason behind his brazen attitude?’

At that moment, a man in a suit entered the room while holding a briefcase.

"Isn't that North Hampton's Chief Secretary, Cedric Jones?"

"You're right!  That's her!  Chief Secretary of North Hampton.  He was the secretary and most influential figure in the city.  His rank is even the same as that of Mr Jesse himself!”

Everyone recognized Cedric as soon as he entered the room. But Cedric behaved similarly to the others before him. 

He walked up to Levi hurriedly and asked with concern.  “Are you okay, Mr Garrison?  I'm worried about you!  Mr. Jesse left over ten missed calls on my phone because he thought something bad happened to you.  He was attending a meeting overseas, so he couldn't come here in person.  That's why he asked me to replace him.”

‘Hah?  Levi's former classmate was stunned to the limit of his ability.  Who is Levi Garrison?  Why is Mr Jesse so concerned about him?  Good Lord!  It drives me crazy.  Can anyone tell me his identity?’ Classmate Levi said in his heart

"I'm doing fine.  Jesse's worried about anything.  I'll treat him to a meal someday.” Levi said with a smile.

"Yes.  Sure do.  I'll pass your message to him.  Mr Jesse would love to hear this!”

‘North Hampton Chief Secretary is thrilled at Levi's offer to buy Mr Jesse a meal?’ Cedric turned to stare at Draco firmly.  “What's going on here, Mr Simmons?  My boss wants me to clarify the situation with you! ”

“This is all my fault, Sir!  I failed in my duties as a father in educating my son.  This is the biggest mistake of my life because my son offended you, Mr Garrison!”

Draco Simmons bowed deeply in front of Levi and continued.  “I'm so sorry, Mr. Garrison.  It's all my fault.  Please punish Me!”

Everyone gasped after witnessing that scene. No one expected that the chairman of the district council, Draco Simmons, bowed so low in front of Levi.

Stephan.

Crystal fell in a daze.

Chloe's dumbfounded.

Everyone in the room was also shocked.

This is unbelievable.  Levi Garrison's status was terrifying.

Tap Tap Tap…

A man in police uniform and another man in army uniform came in.

Jed made an unwitting voice after noticing the badge on their shoulders.  "Captain of the Patrol Forces and a colonel of the army!" 

"I know him.  He's Steven Shaw, Colonel of North Hampton's First Metallic Regiment.”

"And that's Xavier Fields, Captain of the Patrol Force!"

Everyone's scalp felt uncomfortable at that moment.  ‘I can't believe Steven Shaw and Xavier Field are here!’

The two men had a meeting near the hotel.  They rushed over as soon as they learned of the situation that was happening inside the hotel.

The two terrifying men stopped in front of Levi and saluted him.

The crowd could not be more amazed.  ‘Who is Levi Garrison?  Why do all the extraordinary men in society show such great respect for him?  Even Mr. Jesse was almost in a hurry to return to the country from abroad for him. Levi's authority is beyond our understanding.’

A hint of terror glittered in everyone's eyes as they looked towards Levi.  The lowly criminal had become a powerful figure in just a few minutes.

Chloe's body shivered as she stood beside Levi.  His legs felt heavy as if he had been overpowered by a very large object, making him fixate in place. 

He finally understood the hidden meaning behind Levi's explanation earlier. ‘She said she was dealing with firearms.  If I think further from that perspective, Levi is probably a high-ranking officer in the military.’ He did not dare to imagine further.

"Take them away and don't let me see them again."  Levi commanded indifferently.

Draco complied without wasting time.  “I will discipline this useless child of mine.  He won't cause any trouble from now on! ”

Everyone glanced at Crystal simultaneously.

Crystal knew something bad was going to happen to her.  ‘I made a bad decision to offend this guy.’

Draco and the others left quickly afterwards.  Levi asked Steven Shaw to stay.

Steven stood politely beside Levi, admiring his idol.  "Please give your orders, Master!"  said Steven Shaw.  Levi scratched his nose before saying, “I need a hundred thousand people next week.  Send my request to the regiment.”

Levi is preparing his secret weapon to defeat the Garrison family.

Steven Shaw was surprised.  But he still agreed.  "I'll complete this mission!"

The private room was cleared by the time Steven Shaw left.  The restaurant staff even replaced the tablecloth for the Levi table.

Everyone was tense as they looked at Levi nervously.

They know Levi has the ability to destroy their future and career with one word.

“Let's relax again.  This is a meeting, am I right?  Let's enjoy the reunion then. ” Levi smile.

Chloe immediately took the initiative to smooth things out.  "Let's sit down and pretend as if the previous events never happened."

Everyone's movements stiffened as they returned to their seats.

Jed, Wayne, and the others who sided with Stephan previously tried their best to reduce the bad things that would befall them.

Previously, they had all felt the urge to lick Stephan to win his heart, but none of them had the courage to do the same to Levi.

“They should have served the dish by now.  I'm getting hungry.”  Levi raised his tone.

Levi took his own food after the dish was served on the table.

He ate without regard for his image or any eating etiquette, but no one dared to laugh at him.

Levi soon realized that he was the only person eating inside the room.  Everyone was tense and silent.

He got up from his seat after he finished.  “I'm full now.  I'll take care of you."
