When Fabian got to Mega, he was too late. Baskara was no longer there, nor was he with Juan and Reno. All he could find was Gerald, who was babbling about having to drag another drunken troublemaker.
The night was late, but the frenetic on Mega had not receded at all. It was as if every drunk man that had been plucked out of it, would be instantly replaced by two or even three other sane people, who were ready to go down until morning.
Fabian had a bit of trouble splitting the sea of people who were swaying their bodies on the dance floor, the sound of music pounding also made it difficult for him to call Gerald who was still not aware of its existence. From then on, he just looked at the muscular man from afar.
"Wanna dance with me, baby?"
Fabian shuddered amusedly when a woman with thick makeup and clothes lacking the material that showed cleavage and smooth thighs suddenly just stroked her neck. I swear to God, it was a sensitive area and Fabian never allowed anyone to touch it in such a way.
"Sorry, I have no interest," he said, hurriedly brushed off the woman's naughty hands before her holy body was increasingly demonized.
The steps he took accelerated, several times he deliberately pushed people who did not want to give him a way - think, stupid if those people were angry and there had to be a commotion, he was not afraid.
After an unkempt effort, Fabian finally managed to also get out of the mad human crowd earlier. His eyes immediately focused on Gerald who was now standing behind the empty bar table, looking surprised to find his unexpected presence.
"Gue didn't think you were coming" that was the first sentence Gerald said. Instead of asking if his day was okay, as the man used to tell him in the previous days.
Because what Gerald said was not a question, Fabian felt he had no obligation to answer. So, he asked back. "The others have come home?" right after he sat his ass in the stool bar.
"Reno and Juan just turned back, through the back door. Baskara's been back alone for half an hour." Gerald explained, as his hands began to busy concocting drinks.
Fabian did not answer again. Because just after Gerald clenched his lips, the phone in his pants pocket shook.
He pulls out the phone, only to be made to smile thinly when he finds one short message sent by Blue.
Arrived home safe?
Just an ordinary question, which he usually gets from the Baskara-camprethe language is a little different. But, thanks to that one simple short message, Fabian thus gained little confidence that his presence was accepted by Blue, at least for now.
"The three of them look tangled,"
Fabian turned his attention for a moment, though still reluctant to straighten back his still-raised lips forming a smile. Before him, Gerald looked at him suspiciously, peeling into his bead as if he was scavenging for an answer.
"You're the only one who looks good tonight. What happened?" todong Gerald after the glass filled with whisky he put it in front of Fabian.
"Rubber?" Fabian asked back. "Kids come here in a tangled state?" reworked. As far as he knew, the three of them were still fine. Reno and Juan are just a little jarring because they are not responded to by Blue, but that does not mean it is enough to make both become tangled. So, what happened to Baskara? About his father again?
Gerald nodded, his hands folded in front of his chest and he continued to look into Fabian's bead.
"Gue smelled something was wrong with you, too" Gerald with his ninety-nine percent accurate analysis.
Gerald clucked furiously, then intimidated Fabian even more with his gaze.
"Lo guess, you guys can lie to me?" challenge Gerald, then he shook his head while moving his index finger to the right and to the left six times. "My feeling could even be stronger than you all," he continued, folding his hands back in front of his chest.
"Look I don't have any feelings, btw." Fabian rectifies Gerald's earlier remark, then grabs the whiskey and takes a small sip.
Gerald turned the eyeballs off guard, cursing himself who carried around the word nyokap because it was clear Fabian would react like this.
"I know you guys aren't okay anymore. Just tell me, let me take care of your problems to the end." As usual, Gerald said that with a passionate feeling, acting like the oldest brother in the family who wants to eradicate all the problems his sisters are facing.
However, seeing that, Fabian just chuckled. What would they want to exterminate, if the root of the problem they don't even know?
Fabian's rarity makes Gerald sewot himself. "Gue seriously yeah, motherfucker!" he shouted, making some half-drunk people turn their heads towards them.
"Gue didn't talk to you!" screech to the people earlier, which immediately made them turn their eyes.
After making sure he and Fabian were no longer spectacle material, Gerald looked back at Fabian. "Gue seriously, Bi. What's the matter with you?" his insistence.
But again Fabian just sniffed his shoulders, took another sip of his whiskey a little and then came back cool looking at the phone screen.
"Bi, uh,"
"Our problem is still the same as yesterday's kayak really," between Fabian, did not divert the gaze from the phone screen at all. His fingers began to move, dancing on the keypad to write a reply to the message Blue sent.
The phone is placed on the bar table after the reply has been sent. Then, Fabian raised his gaze, looking at Gerald with a faint smile.
"Try, tell me how I can get love nyokap me? How can Baskara not run away again? How can Reno and Juan not be forced to pretend to be children of a cypress family again? Tell me, Gerald Octariast."
Gerald was silent for a long time. The confidence that he had originally nurtured was high, just know-how had run out of nothing. His shoulders that were originally firm and fair, know-how slumped and he had absolutely no power.
"Gue's going to go back for a second, the ice cube stock's up." Gerald said, hurriedly turning around and then blurring. Because if his business is family, he can't do anything about it. Indeed, he should not be pretentious to help the four grandchildren, let them face their own problems.
While Gerald was doomed for his own stupidity, Fabian could only shake his head with a smile that had re-emerged. He knew Gerald did care, and he was grateful for that. Merely, there were some things that no one should interfere with. Because even against fellow members of Pain Killer alone, there are still things that they cover from each other.
After putting whiskey in the glass, Fabian got up. Leaving Mega with mixed feelings, and she doesn't know how to cope.
