While Fabian and Baskara are out, Blue must face the probing gaze of Gerald alone. From the moment Fabian went after Baskara, Gerald was already sitting behind the bar table with his arms folded in front of his chest. Her lips did not say anything, but the gaze of her eyes clearly implied various questions that presumably Blue could slightly guess what it contained.
Hustle and bustle that occur in Mega only comes from random conversations that overlap. There was no music pounding as usual, making Blue clearly difficult to find a distraction from the judgment that Gerald was doing in silence.
Blue glanced at his empty Lemonade glass. His brain was squeezed in such a way as to be able to utilize the empty glass to break the gripping silence between him and Gerald.
However, not yet had his lips opened to express his intentions, Gerald first voiced out. The young man lowered his right leg which was originally crossed over his left leg, his body leaning slightly forward while his two hands still remained folded in front of his chest. "Explain" said the young man.
"What about?" tanya Blue pretentious. Indeed, he already knows, where the direction of the conversation that Gerald was about to create.
In front of him, Gerald clucked softly. "On you and Fabian."
"We why?" still with an innocent look, made Gerald a scourge.
Despite being half-anxious and wanting to squeeze Blue's tapered cheeks with her two muscular arms, Gerald still tried to hold back in order to get an answer to the question, "You guys are dating?" which he threw out with a high level of curiosity.
An indirect answer came to him as Gerald had anticipated. Because before answering, the girl in front of him even thrust the empty Lemonade glass towards him. "Please refill first," she asked in a tone of voice that was adorable .. arghhhhhh! How could he refuse the girl's request if this was the case?
There will never be in history where a Gerald refused a woman's request. Especially if it is Sabiru. In addition to being cute, he must also remember that Aunt Maya has repeatedly warned herself to look after this girl. Oh, she got curious, did this girl know that her beloved aunt even called secretly just to make sure her niece was safe?
"Grun,"
"As you wish, Princess." Gerald replied somewhat annoyed. He got up and brought the empty glass to be refilled.
A few moments later, he came back. One refreshing glass of Lemonade he placed on the bar table in a slightly slamming motion, making a few precious drops fall onto the table in vain. "Please drink." He said, still by maintaining a contrived trench.
Sabiru received her Lemonade with pleasure. The refreshing drink in an instant had been gulped down bit by bit until it was left half full. Gerald could only watch it, wondering if there was no other drink the girl could order besides Lemonade?
"So?" Gerald reimburses an answer he still hasn't received after Blue forgets her Lemonade glass.
The girl seemed to catch her breath and threw it away slowly. Then, two arms of not much size were folded on the bar table as their eyes intersected. "Yes, we are dating." The girl said calmly.
Okay. Now, Gerald was a little worried. On the one hand, she was happy that the famous anti-female Fabian ended up dating, moreover the girl she dated was Sabiru, whose quality was already no doubt—at least in her judgment. However, on the other hand, he feels a bit strange in the way Baskara calls Blue Fabian's girlfriend. As the young man was about to emphasize something, Gerald himself did not know what.
"You sure?" tanyanya.
Sabiru nodded, "Why?" the expected back question.
Gerald did not answer. More precisely, did not have time to answer because his eyes had already caught the arrival of Fabian and Baskara who came from the direction of the entrance. The two young men walked side by side, with Baskara's arms draped spoiled on Fabian's shoulders. While Fabian— as usual—pasrah only received Baskara's treatment of him.
"We'll talk about it later" he whispered to Sabiru before the two young men reached them.
Within seconds, they arrived. Baskara seemed to pull his arm from Fabian's shoulder, then took a sitting position to the left of Sabiru while Fabian took a position on the right. The tiny little Sabiru now looked like a flower in the middle of a tall tree that flourished.
"Lo's got?" Gerald observed how Baskara pointed at Blue's Lemonade glass and his fixed eyes on the girl. Also ... There is a thin smile. And it feels a little foreign.
"Yes." Yeah." Sabiru answered briefly. Unlike Baskara who looks like he wants to build more interaction, Gerald finds Sabiru actually wants to withdraw.
The more strange Gerald felt when Baskara arbitrarily grabbed the Lemonade glass, then chugged the contents until it was gone. Gerald could even see how Sabiru looked uncomfortable, but Baskara even showed an ordinary facial expression as if it was no big deal.
It was not a big deal, if the glass he grabbed belonged to Fabian or other members of Pain Killer. In fact, the glass belonged to someone else, where Gerald knew very well that Baskara was not the typical one who would want to share the glass with anyone but the members of Pain Killer. Presumably, it would not be wrong if Gerald grew suspicious. Didn't they?
"Sweet," said Baskara suddenly. Again, Gerald bears witness that when Baskara said it, the young man's gaze was clearly fixed on Sabiru's plain lips without lipstick.
As he moved further away from the three people sitting side by side in a strange atmosphere, more and more assumptions appeared in Gerald's head. And of the many questions, he was most interested to know one thing: what is the relationship between Baskara and Sabiru really?
...****************...
The rain that Baskara predicted would fall tonight was in fact just seen when his long legs stepped out of the Mega building, exactly eleven o'clock at night. Behind him, Fabian and Sabiru walked hand in hand. Reno and Juan are still living in Mega, with a few other friends to discuss something that doesn't really interest him.
The rain falling is very high. Drops that fall feel so annoying when it touches the surface of his skin, even if only in a fraction of a second when he runs into the car. It felt like he was undergoing acupuncture, where sharp needles began to be deliberately thrust into several nerve points in his body.
"We took Sabiru first, right?" he looked back, at Sabiru who was already sitting in the passenger seat. The girl just stared flatly at him, as she had.
"Yes. It's closer to Sabiru's apartment." Fabian answered while busy installing the seatbelt. Baskara was sure that the young man would not realize that he stole a glance a little longer towards Sabiru.
Satisfied to see the beautiful face of the idol, Baskara looked back to the front. But three seconds later, he again stole a look through the rearview mirror. I don't know, Sabiru's face is indeed as stupid as it is for her. He himself did not understand why he used to be stupid to leave the girl.
"Do you need to call bokap you first do not confirm that you are already on the way home?" fabian asked right after their car drove through the rain.
Baskara was forced to pull his gaze quickly because Fabian knew to take a glance in the direction of the central rearview. "No need. The one he said was just a small talk, he didn't really care if I came home early."
"He really seems worried about you" Fabian tried to deny.
Baskara chuckled with a look of disdain. "That means you're going to have to do the same charade as him."
"Well, I don't think so."
The car stopped at a red light. The rain that fell increasingly heavy, making the wipers work hard wiping the water that fell on the windshield of the car so that Fabian's view to the road remains clear.
Baskara's voice rattled. The young man then threw his back hard into the chair. "It looks like you deserve to be my son, deh." Her chirps.
"Huh?" Fabian doesn't seem to understand.
"Lo keep him going, anjir." Baskara.
"No, I belain him."
"There! You always keep him. L-la-lu. Always!"
"No!"
"Yes!"
"No!"
"Yes! Point!"
While the two young men were arguing, there was a Blue who could only sigh resignedly because it had no power to stop their debate. The only thing he could do then was to lean his head against the car window, close his eyes while trying to pay attention to his ears as the debate grew heated until the car drove back through the wet road.
"Gue wants revenge, anjir. Why is it not okay even already writhing them arguing about other things?" — Sabiru's conscience.
