Negotiations Failed

"Your friends are coming here, Bas?" asked Sera, when she found three pieces of jacket draped in a chair near the patient's bed.

"Yes," replied Baskara without turning his gaze from the mobile screen that he now uses to play online games.

"So, where are they now?" jeffrey's voice interjected.

"Go out, get some food. Not long from them out, Mama and Papa come." Baskara.

"Keep, that chick over here?" that's Sera's voice again.

Baskara clucked. Not because of his mother's question, but the character in the game he played had just been shot dead by the enemy so that the game was over. The innocent cell phone then he just threw it on the nightstand, then he looked at the mother who was still waiting for an answer. "Baskara's body goes into the sack, keeps dumping it into the river." The answer is original while grimacing.

Sera shook her head slowly at the answer. But from there he finally strengthened the assumption that his son was indeed uncomfortable with the girl who had been attached to him.

"Not your girlfriend?" ask Jeffrey, who is more insensitive than his wife.

Baskara clucked again. This time it's really aimed at Jeffrey. He looked at his father lazily. "Unfortunately Baskara seems lustful, yes, same girl as that?" tanyakanya. Though mah, he had used it as well as Jasmine, but pretentiously asked if he was lustful to the girl or not.

Okay, back to the previous conversation.

"If it's not a girlfriend, why are you silent about it like that?" ask Jeffrey again. The man walked over, pulled up a chair and sat on the left side of the bed. "Why try?" reworked.

"There is, the reason."

"Yes what?" billiards Jeffrey.

"Ih," Baskara began to sewot. "Yes there is. Papa don't need to know, it's a young man's business."

Now, it's Jeffrey's turn to cluck. The man's hands were folded in front of his chest. His back rests leisurely on the chair while his right leg is crossed over the left leg. "Papa was also young, if you forget." Said the man.

"Yes on?" baskara asked somewhat unconcernedly.

"Yes, you can tell Papa if there's a problem. Who knows, maybe Papa can help?"

"No, thanks." Baskara said without the slightest hesitation. "Papa's youth is the same Baskara's youth is different. Case and problem solving will not be the same. Yeah, no, Ma?" he tried to ask the mother for help.

Sera who basically is bucin and always put Baskara on top of everything of course nodded in agreement. The woman walked over to Jeffrey, and placed her hands on her husband's shoulders. "Young people, don't interfere." Whisper, while gently rubbing Jeffrey's shoulder.

Jeffrey took a deep breath. If it had been two against one, he would have never won. "Yes, yeah. Whatever, whatever." Said caving.

Sera and Baskara compactly smiled to respond to Jeffrey's attitude. Although this kind of interaction still feels foreign to Baskara after a long time they are divided, but he tries to accept any treatment given by the father. He really is at the point of departure now.

"Papa's bathing, the smell of the sun." Chirps Baskara, while shaking hands in front of his own nose to mite the father.

Jeffrey straightened his back with a single jolt, then anchored a fatal jolt to Baskara's forehead that made the boy scream in pain.

"Ma.." whined Baskara to her mother while rubbing her hot forehead.

Seeing his son in pain, Jeffrey laughed. However, her laughter did not last long as a pinch landed sweetly on her waist. Of course the culprit was Sera, who did not accept her son being persecuted even by his own biological father.

"Agot!!!" exclaim Jeffrey. The body bongsornya cornered, wriggling like a worm overheating in an effort to release the pinch Sera whose strength is equivalent to the claw of a coconut crab.

"Geez, my goodness, Yang!" Jeffrey was still screaming in disobedience, while Baskara had laughed out loud until he almost fell out of the patient's bed.

...****************...

"Ma" whispered Baskara amid the laughter that ensued after Jeffrey made a joke.

Sera brought her body closer to the son, preparing her ears to hear whatever Baskara was about to say.

"Tomorrow Baskara home, huh?" pinta Basque.

The request was not then asserted by Sera just like that. The woman instead told Baskara to do something else instead. "Try saying it to Papa." Said.

Baskara is clearly tickling. "And Mama asked Baskara to be treated."

"Who said? Papa's people who are persistent want you to be treated." Sera said lightly.

Baskara wanted to take it as a joke. But, why does Sera not seem to be joking at all?

"Begging Papa" Sera repeated again.

Finally, Baskara raised his gaze to the father who was standing straight on the left side of the bed.

"Pa," he called out, making Jeffrey who was about to make another joke practically undo his intentions.

"Why, Bas?" ask the man.

"Tomorrow Baskara home, huh?" tanyakanya.

If the thought of making a request to Jeffrey was easier, it was the wrong thought. Without thinking, the man shook his head.

"Why, anyway? Kan, Baksara is fine." Rengek Baskara did not accept.

"Are you all right?" challenge Jeffrey.

The pretentious baskara even moved his entire limbs originally, until a groan of pain was heard when the movement produced pain that came back from his back.

"Well, right. You're still sick, so you're here." Jeffrey.

Baskara pouted, especially when everyone who was there, even including Sabiru, laughed at his failure to persuade the father.

"Know this, it's good to be told to rest, even the pretenders want to ask to go home. Anyway, well, you don't have to be present in Mr. Subroto's class." Chirps Reno, immediately make Baskara mendelik.

"Lo's eyes are delicious!" yells. "I didn't graduate her class!"

"Relax, Papa will talk to Mr. Subroto." Jeffrey followed. Unfortunately, the idea was embraced by everyone who was there.

"No!" Baskara was the only one who refused. "That's an abuse of authority, Papa."

"It's okay once in a while" Jeffrey said lightly. "Udah ah, don't make a fuss to go home mulu. If you are sick, dizzy, Papa. Don't know you, if Mama likes to make noise every time you get sick? Who can't sleep well, who can't eat well. Duh, just dizzy Papa tuh." Jeffrey complained, but Baskara was getting upset.

"Yes it's Papa's suffering as a husband" murmured Baskara. Then he folded his hands in front of his chest and the pretenders sulked because his desire was not obeyed.

Laughter was heard around him. But Baskara's focus is no longer on the fanfare. Because now, his eyes were completely fixed on the figure of Sabiru who was in front of him, was looking at him with a thin smile left from the previous laughter.

Well-favoured. That's all Baskara can whisper in his heart. It automatically activates the extra mode to capture the remains of the smile on the girl's face inside her brain. Because not long after, the smile was completely faded and all Baskara could find from the glare of the eyes was just endless hatred.
