The man looked silent with his gaze which was now staring at Saoda so seriously that Saoda turned pale.
The instant his heart beat so fast made his entire body tremble incoherently.
Tuo, well that man that Saoda was looking at right now. He was still standing with his gaze still staring at Saoda.
Saoda took a deep breath. He bowed in fear and rubbed his face that had been sweating coldly. Raising his hands was no longer able to do when his body and mind were enveloped by fear.
Tuo strode his bare feet down the steps one by one producing an old wood squealing sound that shocked Saoda.
He who had been bowed was afraid that he immediately looked up to look at Tuo who was now still stepping down the steps. Saoda gulped his saliva which felt difficult to descend down his throat.
Each of Tuo's footsteps managed to make Saoda limp with his sudden breathing pattern becoming congested.
Tuo stopped his steps right in front of Saoda who was seen silently staring at him.
"Where are you from?"
Saoda's breath was restrained in his throat after hearing what Tuo was asking.
The thing Saoda feared the most had now happened. The question he had not expected had now occurred. Confused, well Saoda no longer knows what to answer about the question that Tuo gave.
Saoda could not answer Tuo's question honestly. Saoda is afraid that Tuo will get angry with him and leave if he finds out the truth.
"Soda!"
Tuo touched both of Saoda's shoulders which felt cold making Tuo's forehead wrinkle. He stared from the tip of the foot to the end of Saoda's hair. Tuo's fingers could feel the cold on Saoda's skin.
"Why is your body so cold?"
"A-a-i-i"
"Say! Where have you been?"
Saoda gulped his salivary with lips that had trembled. It was hard to answer her husband's question.
"Soda! Why are you quiet?"
"Let's answer! Where have you been?"
Saoda took a deep breath and began to smile. She also touched the back surface of her husband's hand which was gently touching his cheek which was also cold.
Well, his cheeks were cold as it had been buffeted by the night wind that had pierced through the sharp layers of his skin.
"Soda!"
"What's wrong? Why do you always ask? Hem's? I just went out for a while to look for young coconuts."
"Why young?"
Saoda nodded with a smile.
"Yes, I don't know why all of a sudden I want to eat young coconuts and I want to drink that fresh water."
"You know what it's like to cry because I'm always thinking about that coconut. I can't sleep thinking about it."
"So I decided to get out of the house to look for coconuts. Maybe after admitting to drinking coconut fruit I will sleep soundly," he explained lying.
Hearing that made Tuo let out a long sigh.
"Then why didn't you wake me up? I'll get you some coconuts."
"I-I'd like to do it."
"Cong you? Why should I hesitate? I'm your husband and it's my shoes that meet all your needs."
"But I just saw you were fast asleep and I didn't want to disturb your deep sleep."
"Tuo, I know you're tired. I know you've been working all day and I don't want to bother you."
"Soda, I am your husband. How many more times do I have to tell you. I'm your husband and it's his shoes that I obey everything you want."
"Now look! It's late and I can't let you out on a late night like this."
"Well, if there's any wild animals that might come after you if you take a little misstep."
And more importantly is the Pawak."
The two mayas of Saoda rounded her eyes on her husband who was now staring at her. Instantly Saoda's chest felt touched inside there after Tuo said Parakang's name with his speech that was deliberately suppressed.
"You know that Parakang comes out at night and it might-"
Tuo stopped his speech and he turned his head left and right trying to stare in all directions making Saoda follow in which direction Tuo was staring.
"What's wrong?"
Tuo.
"It's possible that Parakang is around here and looking at you."
Saoda is silent. In his heart he was now happy because Tuo believed what he said, but his feelings were quite uncomfortable after hearing the name of Parakang who had just been called Tuo.
"You know why you can want something to take you out like this?"
"What?"
Tuo was silent for a moment. He smiled with happiness and stroked Saoda's cheek which was putting on a confused face there.
"You're pregnant" she replied.
"Really?" ask Saoda who pretends not to know.
Tuo nodded with a smile full of happiness. From the look in his eyes Saoda could see if Tuo was trying to hold back his cries in both of his eyes that had been flushed red.
"You really have contained Saoda."
Tuo touched the surface of Saoda's stomach, making Saoda look down at Tuo's hand, which was still touching his stomach, and looked up at Tuo again.
"You are pregnant with my child. Soon we'll have a child, Saoda. I'll be a Father and you'll be an Indo."
"We will have a small family that will make us happy."
"We will be happy with the presence of the little angel in your belly."
Saoda smiled happily then immediately hugged the body of Tuo who also hugged him. Saoda feels a little guilty for not telling Tuo if he has learned of her pregnancy.
It's just that Saoda doesn't want to ruin the happiness of her husband who is already too happy.
The smiling Saoda resuscitated her still cold cheek to the surface of her husband's chest that was unobstructed anything so that the skin of her cheek immediately touched the surface of Tuo's chest that felt warm.
Saoda closed his eyes as Tuo stroked his head slowly making Saoda feel happy.
Saoda could not take out this little fetus just to escape it following the ritual so that he could become Parakang.
Saoda cannot give birth to himself. At least she didn't hurt her husband. Seeing Tuo being so happy saying about her pregnancy made Saoda realize how precious and important this fetus was to Tuo.
Tuo let go of his embrace. He cupped the two cheeks of Saoda looking up at him.
"Soda! Have you eaten and drank the coconut you've been looking for?"
"Not yet" he replied, shaking his head.
"Then you go upstairs and go into the room and wait for me! I'll find you a coconut."
