8. Not Parakang?

"Yeah!!!" raina screams in fear after she feels someone touching her shoulder.

Raina turned to look at the figure of Saoda who was now standing in front of her with an artificial candle that she was holding her nag. Half of his face was visible after being exposed to the candlelight. Both of Saoda's eyes were seen glaring at him, it seemed like not only Raina was shocked but Saoda as well.

Raina's chest deflated so strongly while her heart almost jumped out of its sockets.

"What's wrong? Why are you yelling?" saoda asked with a look on his face that looked annoyed.

How not to be upset if the sound of Raina's screams is very loud even the owls fly away from the house after hearing the screams from Raina.

"Sorry, Indo. I was surprised," he replied as he stroked the chest that was so pounding.

Is his heart still safe? Hah, even Raina felt that her heart had been damaged after being startled by the figure of Saoda touching her suddenly.

Saoda stared from toe to toe in Raina's hair with a gaze full of curios. He glanced at the slightly open door, revealing a dark exterior with his flat face.

"Where are you going?" ask Saoda at last.

"A-a-I want a-I want-"

"Say!"

"So I woke up from sleep and there was no Indo in the room" he replied.

Saoda remained silent. His gaze sharply looked at Raina who now looked scared and occasionally looked to swallow her saliva.

"I-I think Indo's gone."

"Where?"

"A-a-I don't know either, Indo."

"Back!"

"What?"

"Go back to bed!"

Raina nodded quickly. He turned to look at the door for a moment and looked back at Saoda who was still looking at him. The sharp gaze that Raina had never felt made her tremble.

Raina pushed the door away for a moment, and the door closed, followed by Raina, who then stepped away leaving Saoda alone with a flat face without expression.

Raina stopped her steps after she had arrived at the door of the room. He stared at Saoda for a moment who was seen standing looking at the door behind him. Raina swallows her saliva. Did Saoda feel suspicious of him? Hopefully not, Raina hope so.

Raina flinched in shock along with her two glaring eyes. How could he know?

Raina hurriedly ran into the room and laid her body on the bed. Raina covered her head with a sheath and closed her eyes very tightly. This time he forced his eyes to sleep quickly.

...****...

Raina awakens from her sleep when the successful sunlight hits her eyelids after breaking through the slit of the porous board eaten by age.

Raina turned her back and grabbed the surface of the now-empty mattress. Raina opened her eyes slowly until Saoda's figure was no longer visible.

Raina got up from the bed and rubbed her eyes. He took his foot out of the room. The sound of birds chirping could be heard out there carrying Raina subconsciously opening the window. His smile was engraved as he stared at the small birds perched on one of the tree branches on the edge of the forest.

The beautiful scenery he always saw in every morning and the night air was so fresh that it felt in his lung cavity.

"Well!"

Raina turned to look at Saoda who now quickly turned to look at Saoda who was now stepping out of the kitchen while carrying two dishes of fried rice.

"Let's eat!"

Raina smiled. He stepped closer to Saoda and sat down beside her who was now smiling looking towards the woman who looked busy putting the dishes onto the board. For a few seconds Raina's smile disappeared from her lips.

How could he think if this old woman in front of him was a Parakang. A kind-hearted and affectionate woman, how could she be a Parakang?

It feels like Raina is sorry after being suspicious of the figure of her Grandmother who has been replacing the figure of Mother and Father who has long died.

"What's wrong?" tanya Saoda made Raina's mind disintegrate.

He smiled and then shook his head.

"Is the rice salty?"

"No."

"Then?"

"Just happy."

Saoda smiled after hearing this even more when Raina approached and hugged her so tightly. Saoda stroked Raina's hair with her slow-moving, soulful right hand. Both of his gazes stared at the door outside the house and he smiled.
