"Aren't you going up?"
Saoda turned to look at Tuo who was now washing his feet from the water in the jug located under the steps.
Saoda let out a long breath. Somehow seeing this jug brought him to mind with both his parents.
There are many memories that he experienced and become a memory that he will never forget.
"You why?" Tuo asked back.
Saoda looked over and shook his head slowly. He washed his feet and climbed up the stairs. His steps are now stopped with his two eyes now penetrating in all directions staring at the view of the house room that looks messy.
There were many clothes hanging on the edge of the walls of the wooden house and there were also clothes on top of worn plastic chairs.
"Ah, this house is a bit dirty," said Puang Dodi who now stepped in while picking up one by one clothes scattered on a chair and some clothes hanging on the wall of the house.
Saoda just smiled. He looked up at the spider webs scattered on the ceiling of the house. There's nothing special about this house.
Not long after, Saoda turned back to look at Dodi's puang who was now busy sweeping the wood plank floor that was a bit dusty. Even Saoda could feel if this floorboard felt dusty.
"Sorry, yes, son. The house is dirty because we're both busy working and if we get home from work we don't have time to clean the house."
Puang Dodi laughed for a moment.
"Well, understand me, son. Here, there are no women. Indo from Tuo has also died so no one had time to clean the house," he explained.
Saoda just nodded. Not long after he turned his head to look at Tuo who was now running into a room. I don't know what he's doing, but it looks like he's doing a lot there.
The sound of the broomstick sound was heard in tandem with the sound of steps that paced back and forth unclear. He seems very busy.
Saoda stepped slowly through the kitchen area. He moved the curtain cloth that had worn out its color, it seemed like this had been a long time. That Saoda could see from his cloth that had been torn a lot.
Saoda entered after passing through the red curtains and made his eyes now look at the kitchen area that looks so simple and unkempt. There was a lot of wood whose ends had been burned and some piles of dry wood that had even been slightly moldy.
From here he stood he could also see a few piles of dirty dishes and unwashed glasses and cookware.
He looked up at the ceiling of the kitchen which had countless holes. Almost like an uninhabited house.
They may not take care of the kitchen either. Saoda stepped, he touched the surface of the old plate rack and felt dusty as if this plate rack is useful again its existence with four legs that are not complete anymore.
"Soda!" call Tuo making Saoda turn.
"I want to show you your room."
Saoda nodded then immediately stepped following in the direction where Tuo was stepping.
"Come here!" bring him.
Saoda took the front step however, with a quick step Tuo was already at the entrance of kamatr while holding the red curtain.
"Here in!"
Saoda did not respond. He stepped into the room that now looks neat. A wooden bed and pink mosquito net that has a torn part and a cloth patch that is deliberately sewed to cover the mosquito net hole.
"This is your room now. You can sleep here!"
Saoda said nothing. He was silent like a mute.
"Are you hungry? Let's eat?!"
five minutes later...
Saoda was seen sitting quietly staring at the puang Dodi who was now busy pushing the burning wood so that the greater the fire. Sometimes he also opened the cover of the pot to check the rice he was cooking since.
In the same place he also saw the figure of Tuo who was busy cutting fresh green kale vegetables that seemed soon to be ready to be cooked. Just wait for the rice to cook.
Saoda sighed. If only Indo and his Father were still alive maybe he would not be in this house.
"Y!!! A caterpillar!!!" yelled Tuo who immediately threw the green caterpillar up.
"Huh? Where's?" tanya Puang Dodi who immediately turned her head.
Tuo smiled then laughed giggling after seeing the green caterpillar instead fall and stick to the shoulder of Dodi's poang without dodi knowing.
"Why laugh?"
"Hahaha, how can I not laugh if the caterpillar is on your shoulder!" His pointing made Puang Dodi glance.
"Yahoooo!!!" his scream then immediately hit his shoulder making the caterpillar die sprawled with the contents of the stomach that has come out.
"Ah, how could you kill him."
"Father is just trying to clean your clothes," she made Tuo laugh.
Saoda was silent with a faint look that stared at Dodi and Tuo in turn. I think he's tired. Just been inside this house, but it doesn't feel right.
Saoda wants to go home, but whatever the power at home is no longer the figure of his parents. Now he has a new family that has received him very well but is difficult to accept.
It is not easy to accept new people. It's not even easy to get along with someone.
"Soda!" call Dodi's pang while touching Saoda's shoulder which is now turned.
"What are you thinking, son?"
Saoda just smiled a little and then he shook his head.
"Let's eat! I've been calling you since, but I just want to daydream."
Saoda nodded back. He looked down at the food that was now ready to be eaten.
"Let's eat!"
Saoda nodded. Now he doesn't know what to do. Her habit before eating was to wait for her to prepare a meal for him and feed him lovingly.
Saoda put rice on his plate and a spoonful of cooked kale vegetables so very simple. Saoda turned to look at Tuo and poang Dodi who was now busy eating voraciously.
Saoda swallowed his saliva and immediately fed his mouth with rice. Saoda's tears dripped down the rice that was on his plate.
For the first time he ate without being fed by Indonya who now knows what he is doing there. Vegetable kale with bland taste. Very far from the word delicious and not the same as the cuisine made by Indonya.
Saoda sobbed for his hand and immediately folded his lips firmly. He turned his head to look at Tuo and Puang Dodi who were now looking at him.
"What's up, son?"
