Raina put the laundry into a basket after rinsing it in a fairly heavy river flow, understand last night heavy rain so that the river water is quite clear.
"What a pity, Edi. His son and wife died horribly."
"Yes, it's all because it's the Parakang."
"Who is the Dwarf? There can be such a creature. Many have been victims."
Raina turned her head after hearing the words of the mothers who were busy washing. Not only was Raina in this river but there were many Mothers washing their clothes in the river. In this river usually people wash clothes, bathe and take water for cooking and other needs.
"Mom, what is a retard?" raina asked, maybe she could get information from these gossip mums.
"The parade is a creature" replied one of them.
Raina put the basket to the edge on the rock and approached some mothers who seemed to be able to provide information. Gossip mogul is the key to Raina's answer. Ask them all the answers are on them.
"What kind of thing is that, Mom?"
"A creature like the one that ate your Mother and Father first."
"But I can't remember at the time, Mom. How about the shape, Mom, that's Parakang?"
At once the mothers were silent as if they had no answer to give to Raina who was now silent waiting for an answer from the gossipers in this village.
"We've never seen it."
Raina sighed as the answer sounded. Free to ask, there was still no answer he got. How can these mothers say if the figure of Parakang exists but never saw it directly.
"About who knows the shape of the Parakang, yeah?" raina asked, making the mothers look at each other.
"Let's go see Mr. Tuo, maybe he knows because he's a Parakang hunter."
"Oh, it has stopped him being a Parakang hunter," reprimanded one of the mothers who only used a sarong to cover half his fat body.
"Have it stopped, have you?"
"Yes, he is now the imam of the mosque."
Raina got up from the rock she had been sitting on. He set his feet to leave the river after saying goodbye to the mothers who are still excited by the rumors today.
The voice of the crickets is heard alternately unpretentious in this night which is so very quiet and peaceful. It seems like tonight will not rain, Raina guessed from the many flickering stars that lit up in the night sky.
"Close the door tight!"
Raina looked at Saoda who was now sitting on the board behind her, Saoda was washing dishes and other utensils after dinner. Raina closed the door tightly and then stepped closer to Saoda.
"Why not go to sleep?"
"Wait, Indo."
"Not to wait! Go to sleep first!"
"Why?"
"Because Indo is washing dishes."
"Then Raina help me."
"No need!"
Raina let out a long breath. Free herself forced herself to offer herself. Saoda won't let it either.
"Indo!" call Raina making Saoda turn.
"When dawn comes, why is Indo outside the house?"
Saoda was surprised after hearing it but quickly smiled trying to remain calm.
Raina nodded. Raina had heard about the sleep disorder that makes a person able to walk unconsciously.
"Indo, unconsciously walking out of the house and when Indo woke up, Indo was already outside the house," he explained making Raina nod.
"Indo!"
"Ep? Ah, go to sleep! Don't ask often!"
Raina took a breath and immediately got up and stepped into her room. In this house there are only two rooms. Raina and Saoda's room were close together so Raina never felt afraid even though she had to sleep in the room alone while outside the house was a forest and a garden.
Raina laid her body on the bed. He paused for a moment to stare at the ceiling of the mosquito net that protected him from the bite of large mosquitoes coming from the garden and forest.
Now Raina's mind is focused on one topic, namely Parakang. One thing that has not been able to make Raina separated from the name of the creature. Who is he and how does he form?
"Thinking of Parakang?"
Raina was surprised not to play when Saoda's voice tightened her and she was standing at the entrance while warming the curtain cloth with color that had faded with age.
"No" replied Raina.
Raina was surprised to find out that she was thinking about the creature. Had he and Saoda had any inner contact until Saoda knew what was on his mind, well maybe.
"Sleep!"
Saoda stepped away to make Raina tilt her body and tried to sleep even though her mind was still thinking about the creature.
The late night was so very quiet accompanied by the sound of barking dogs that were interconnected. The sound of owls perched on the roof of the house was also heard staring at the bats flying for food in the garden. Her voice clashing that mouth did not disturb Raina's deep sleep. For Raina it's an introductory nyayian before going to bed.
*tock
Tok

"Rainaa!!!"
The knock on the door again made Raina's eyes open. Who else hit the door out there?
"Walina!!!"
The sound of screaming and knocking the door again made Raina decide to get up from her bed. Raina lit a candle made from an iron can filled with kerosene and slowly walked towards the door.
"Who?"
"Indo!"
Raina opened the door and again and again she found Saoda with a shivering body without wearing her own clothes standing in front of her.
Saoda stepped past Raina who was speechless in confusion.
"Just go to bed again, Indo?" asked Raina who stepped closer to Saoda who was looking for some clothes in the wooden closet.
"Yes" he answered.
Her voice sounded so cold that Raina was scared. As if repeating the time Saoda laid his body against Raina and spoke again, "Don't tell people that Indo came home at dawn!"
Raina nodded slowly. Again and again Raina did not want to ask Saoda much about this even though she actually wanted to ask a lot.
Raina stepped into the room and laid her body on the bed. Raina's heart was beating very fast, it felt like she was scared in this condition. What scared Raina even more was when Saoda passed her. Raina could smell the blood so fishy on Saoda's undressed body.
It is possible that people who experience sleep disorders will smell fishy like that. What caused Saoda's body to smell and why he did not wear the slightest clothes.
Raina took a deep breath. He has to find out, but how?
